Getta-1, piloted by Nagare Ryouma. This is the first
generation of Getta Robo, and despite what many 90s
oriented fans will tell you, this one looks the
coolest.

Getta Dragon, piloted by Nagare Ryouma in Getta Robo
G. The second gen of Getta Robo. This one just looks
funny to me, maybe because it looks like it's wearing
a crown.

Shin Getta-1. It is piloted by many people: Professor
Saotome at first, and later the mysterious Gou, and
finally, Nagare Ryouma himself.

Shin Getta-2. Looks really cool in this pic. Piloted
for a short time by Hayato before the nuclear explosion.
Thirteen years later, the strange girl Kei becomes its
pilot.

Shin Getta-3. Basically a really, really buffed up version
of the original Getta-3. Piloted at various times by
both Gou and Benkei, Shin Getta-3 has also come under the
piloting skills of Gai, who was chosen by Gou after Benkei
fell to injury.

A particularly spooky shot of Ryouma/Getta Robo after
he slashed a Getta Dragon in two with the Getta Tomahawk. It is a fusing of Getta
Robo's and Ryouma's faces. Notice how the Getta Dragon debris almost looks like blood.

This is Shin Getta-1. It's meanacing.
It would eat you up and spit you out. Plus, if posing won't scare you, it's
got a big tomahawk. So don't piss it off.

All three Shin Getta Robos, along with Gou, the young,
artificially created kid who causes so much trouble in
the OAVs.

If my robot could do that, life would be sweet indeed.

It's not really clear what's happening here, so I'll tell
you: Getta Robo, piloted by Ryou, is coming head-on
with an army of evil Getta Dragons. Below the original
Getta Robo is an already-fallen Getta Dragon. This picture
does not do the original scene justice, let me tell you.

All 9 main Gettas (that means excluding the Shin Dragon
series) from the OAVs. See if you can spot all nine.

A nice concise way to explain the first episode of the
OAV series. Ryouma in the Getta-1 versus a ton of
Getta Dragons, with side appearances by Shin Getta-1,
Getta Rygar, and Getta Poseidon.

Saotome Michiru and the circumstances that surrounded
her death. Michiru was in the Poseidon Machine when
it malfunctioned. In spite of this, Ryouma and Hayato
proceeded with an attempted combination into Getta
Rygar. It failed, and Michiru was crushed in between
the other two Gett Machines.

The cover to the third OAV volume, containing episodes
4 and 5. This is Kei, an orphan that Benkei was able
to help into the fallout shelter before the nuclear
explosion. Thirteen years later, Kei has matured into
a confident young woman who ultimately gains control
of Shin Getta-2, also pictured.

Any fan of Getta Robo should recognize this as the first
scene from the opening credits, with Benkei in place of
Musashi. The picture comes from a "drama CD" which
tells the story of the Moon World War, which lasted 10
years and finished roughly three years before the start
of the OAV series.
Getta Robo Sketch
Because of its size, I am only providing a link to it.
The sketch is of the three original Gettas, as well as
the Texas Mac, which appeared as a guest in the original
Getta Robo series.
