EricEricWill Eric Brady's presence in Salem finally bring some answers as to why he stayed away, what he was doing all this time and just how much is he a twin to Sami?
As young toddlers, the twins - Eric and Sami - were sent off to Denver to live with maternal grandparents by Marlena many years ago. Roman and Marlena's constant crime fighting and abductions by Stefano, and others, was hardly conducive to a stable early childhood for Sami and Eric. Seen only periodically as infants, the Brady twins were eventually referred to even less.
Sami's return to Salem as a teenager in 1990 was unremarkable. It was not until 1992 that Sami's storyline, always entangled with half-sister Carrie, started to really find a spotlight. As for her twin, Eric, he was "somewhere away at school" or "still in Colorado" with no clear reference stated.
Now that Eric has returned, it is
clear that he shares a close connection with his sister. It is also just
as clear that he is hiding some secrets of his own. His reaction to Kristen
and Sami's questions showed clearly that he would rather not talk about
who or what is waiting for him back in Colorado. Equally clear is his deep
hatred for Stefano DiMera, the man who splintered Eric's family and who
he blames for the fact that Roman Brady is now dying. But Eric has already
made a place for himself in Salem... so look for him to be staying for
awhile.
