My Second Childhood

On the surface, Deidre Hall had the world by the tail,
But the one thing she wanted most,
to have a child, eluded her.
She had too many heartbreaks and disappointments
but she never gave her dream up.
But life have a happy ending: Dee is now a mother
of two beautiful boys, David & Tully.
They are both surrogates childs.
Dee once said in an interview that when her first child was
born the emotions were so strong, she tought
she wouldn't survive that feeling.
This is the Ode to Dee and her boys and to that feeling:

This is my second childhood
What ever you’ll give me, I will take
This is my second childhood
With you...

This is my second childhood
The burden of the past has been forgotten
This is my second childhood
My heart is now open...

Through your eyes, My Boys
I see and find again a whole New World
Through your hands I will learn
How to touch the waves again
Through your lips, My Boys
A new taste to words
And with you I can grow
Without fear...

This is my second childhood
What ever you’ll give me, I will take
This is my second childhood
With you...

This is my second childhood
The burden of the past has been forgotten
This is my second childhood
My heart is now open...

Trough your songs, My Boys
I will learn how to listen to creation
With your tiny steps I will walk
Through the wonders of the world
With your smiles, My Boys
A new morning to nights
And with you there is a reason again
To the breathing I have in this world
With your looks, My Boys
I will learn how to love without a thought
With your tears I will tremble
Like the end of the world is near
With your embrace, My Boys
A shiver will run trough my spine
And with you I will ask for one more day
It was all worthwhile...

This is my second childhood
The burden of the past has been forgotten
This is my second childhood
My heart is now open...

This is my second childhood...
It was worth it !
