A Sliders/ Star Wars Crossover

Disclaimer: Sliders is property of St. Clare Entertainment and Star Wars is
property of Lucasfilm Ltd. I am borrowing all of the characters from these companies
except for Sarah Mallory, Leyta Kenobi and Ben Skywalker. Which I made up myself.
But they are pretty much intertwined with these two universes and probably would
get in trouble with both St. Clare and Lucasfilm for making them up. But talk to me
before suing me. And a note, Sarah is from my story Family. You may want to read
that before this story. Leyta and Ben are from my Star Wars story Jedi Lover, but
you can make sense of this story without reading it. If you don't know I like Star

"Ouch!"
Quinn Mallory rubbed his head as he picked himself up off the ground. Next to
him was Wade Wells, got up, there underneath her was Quinn's sister, Sarah. She
rubbed her recently bandaged arm. It was still sore after Michael Hurly shot her. Then
Professor Arturo got up then Rembrandt Brown. Rembrandt said
"Hey guys, unless they are filming Star Wars four in San Francisco I think we
have the wrong Earth."
Rembrandt was right. Because from behind them several rows of men in white
armour were running right towards them. Quinn heard one of them yell in a staticy,
filtered voice
"Look, sir, the Rebel woman headed that way."
Then Quinn saw who the stormtrooper (that's what they were called, weren't
they?) was talking to. It was the tall, massive Dark Lord, Darth Vader. He said
"Bring me back Leyta Kenobi. She has something I want very much. It will be
your heads if she is not here, alive by tomorrow night."
Wade turned around and saw a young woman, probably about twenty years old
with dark brown hair stick her head out from an alley. Wade knew a lot about Star
Wars, other than being on of her favourite movies, her mother had known Carrie
Fisher, who played Princess Leia in the movies. But from what Wade could see, this
was not from a movie. The young woman had a young, fair haired boy in her arms,
probably about four years old (her brother?) The boy writhered and twisted to get out
of her arms. He succeeded and started to run. The stormtroopers saw him and
yelled
"There is her son. If we get him his mother will come looking for him and we will
have her."
The boy tripped and fell. The stormtroopers started to run towards him when
Quinn, not knowing what he was doing grabbed the young boy and started to run.
The young woman ran out of the alley, she yelled
"This way, and hurry!"Quinn and the boy were all ready running and Sarah,
Wade, Rembrandt the Arturo started running after them. The stormtroopers stopped
running as the group lost sight. The leader said
"Another group will cut them off at the end of the alley."
But little did that stormtrooper know that the group of stormtroopers that were
supposed to be guarding the end of the alley were at a nearby cantina getting a drink.
They had not taken a break for so long they were hallucinating, they all thought they
saw a group of people drop out of the sky.
"Come on! You don't want those Imperial Slugs to catch you, do you?"
yelled the woman running in front of Quinn. Suddenly she stopped. She
breathed a sigh of relief. They had lost the Imperial troops far back. Quinn put the
young boy he had in his arms on the ground. The boy immediately ran into the arms
of the young woman. She hugged him and said
"Ben Anakin Skywalker, don't you ever scare me like that again."
The woman turned to Quinn and said
"How can I ever repay you for saving my son?"
"You can tell us where we are." said Quinn
uke Skywalker and Princess Leia are." added Rembrandt
The woman shot and evil glance at Rembrandt. She said
"You're on the planet Coruscant and as for Luke," her voice became icy,
"I have no idea where he and his Princess are."
Rembrandt became defensive
"Hey, girl, I was just joking. You got something against Rebel heroes?"
The woman's icy tone stayed
"I have nothing against Rebel heroes and I have nothing against Luke. It's just
he it is not a topic I like to bring up a lot here."
The woman stuck out her hand and said
"Oh, I forgot to introduce myself, I'm Leyta Kenobi."
Quinn took her hand and said
"I'm Quinn Mallory. These are my friends Rembrandt, Wade, Arturo and Sarah."
Leyta shook her head. She said
"There is only one of you friends here."
Quinn looked around. Sure enough only Rembrandt was there. Quinn yelled
"Great! They must of gone down a different way."
Quinn got ready to start looking for them. But then Leyta gasped, Luke was
here, and he was with Quinn's friends. Quinn turned to look at her. She said
"Don't worry about your friends, I think their with a friend of mine."
"Miss Wells, stop!"
Arturo yelled at the top of his lungs. Both Wade and Sarah stopped. Arturo went
on
"It has come to my attention that Mr Mallory and Mr Brown are not with us
anymore."
Wade looked around, sure enough, Quinn and Rembrandt were nowhere in
sight. She said
"They must of gone down another alley. This is great, Quinn and Rembrandt
are gone with a woman who Darth Vader wants to kill."
Sarah stepped forward, she looked puzzled she said
"First, can you guys explain why you know so much about this world, and how
long we are here for?"
Arturo looked at the timer
"Thirty days, six hours and three minutes. The other question I wouldn't mind
having answered myself."
They both looked at Wade for an explanation. She said
"What haven't you guys ever seen the movies Star Wars, The Empire Strikes
Back and Return of the Jedi?"
Arturo shook his head
"I could never stand Harrison Ford. I saw his Indiana Jones movies. They were
dreadfully cast. And those space adventures looked even more idiotic."
Wade said
"Well, we've established why the professor never saw them. I guess they might
not of had them in your world, Sarah."
Sarah was deep in thought. Her eyes brightened as she said
"Hey, wait. Wasn't that the movie with the two cute guys, one was blond and
the other had brown hair? And the princess with the weird bun things on the side of
her head?"
Wade jumped up
"Yes, that's it, so you do know a bit about them. Well I think in this world those
movies were true."
Wade stopped talking. She heard two voices. One said
"Han, I heard voices over here."
The other said
"Kid, watch out their are Imperials all over this place."
Arturo's mouth dropped open as he saw Sarah pull out a small hand gun. She
said
"It's a bad habit of mine, okay. I just got out of eleven years of a world of war."
She flattened herself against the wall. She turned and stuck her gun out. There
was a blaster in her face. And the person holding it was the one, the only Luke
Skywalker.
Luke dropped his blaster to his side. He yelled at the other man "Han, don't
worry. It's only some kid."
Sarah dropped her gun, alone with her jaw. Her hands went on her hips. She
exclaimed
"Hey, I take extreme offence to being called a kid. I've been killing guys twice
your age for three years now."
Luke slipped his blaster in its holster. He said
"Sorry, so what are you guys? Some renegade Coruscant citizens?" Wade
stepped forward, she whispered to Sarah
"Calm down, Sarah. If anybody can help us here, its him."
Wade then started to talk to Luke. Sarah's jaw dropped down even further as
Han Solo stepped out of the shadow. Both Han and Luke had been Sarah's first
crushes as a four year old kid. And when Quinn wasn't drooling over Daelin he was
drooling over Princess Leia. It was all becoming clear now. Wade started to talk. She
said
"Luke, Han, we need your help. See, we have been travelling through
different dimensions for the last two years now, and on this world it seems that the
Empire and Rebellion exist. And we need your help."
Han shook his head
"So your saying that you travel from different dimension? How?" Arturo
stepped forward. He said
"You see, my boy, her brother,"
He pointed towards Sarah
"Invented a machine that can transport you to different dimension. An
unfortunate accident has made it impossible for us to go home. All we can do........"
"Is keep on going to different dimensions and hope we get home." Quinn
finished his explanation to Leyta. Her son, Ben, was running around with Rembrandt.
Leyta nodded, she kind of understood. She asked, "So how is your dimension
different from this one?"
Quinn looked around his surroundings. From what he could tell Leyta and
Ben's hiding place was underground. He said
"Well, in our dimension this place is just a movie, nobody he is real. The
movies focus on the life of Luke Skywalker.It's called Star Wars."
Leyta gave Quinn a quizzical look
"So in your dimension I'm just a movie character?"
Quinn shook his head
"Not exactly. You weren't in Star Wars."
Leyta's expression became sullen
"I guess the movie was about Luke after I left...... I mean after he left
Tatooine."
Quinn moved closer to Leyta. He asked
"How do you know Luke?"
Leyta shifted uncomfortably
"What makes you think I know Luke?"
Quinn replied
"Well, you talk about him like you knew him pretty well."
Leyta gulped. She said
"He was my boyfriend for about three years."
Quinn took in everything
"And?"
Leyta finished
"And Ben is his son."
"Inter dimensional travel? Movies done after our lives? It doesn't make any
sense."
Han said. Sarah replied
"But it's all true. We wouldn't lie about something like this. But please,
explain to us why Earth is being destroyed by the Empire?"
Luke said
"This planet hasn't been called Earth in centuries. It was renamed
Coruscant when the Old Republic took over 25000 years ago. What, in your
dimension its still called Earth?"
Sarah nodded. She said
"Okay, now that we all know each other we need help finding my brother,
Quinn. So you think you can help us?"
Han shook his head
"No way. We have a princess to find. Leia got separated from us So you've
got to find some other guys to help you."
Wade turned to Sarah and Arturo. She said
"You know, Quinn and Rembrandt are probably just with that girl Vader was
looking for. What did he call her? Kenobi."
Luke pushed passed Han. He was right next to Wade. He asked, with a
tense tone in his voice
"You don't mean Leyta Kenobi, do you?"
Wade said
"I think that was her."
Luke's jaw dropped. Han was right behind him
"Hey, Kid, you look like you just saw a ghost."
Luke replied
"I haven't see Leyta in four years."
Sarah asked
"Who is she?"
Luke's gaze was fixed in the sky.
"She was my fiancee."
"You're saying Luke Skywalker is the father of your kid?"
Rembrandt said in disbelief. But Leyta nodded, in complete
seriousness. She said
"Yes, why is that so hard for you to believe?"
Rembrandt laughed
"Girl, you must be crazy."
Leyta's glared at Rembrandt, if looks could kill he would be at the
funeral home. She said
"You guys are the ones talking about inter dimensional gateways.
And you're calling ME crazy."
Leyta's look softened. She said
"No matter what you say it won't change the fact that Ben is Luke's
son. I wish it was different, but its not."
Rembrandt asked
"How are you sure its Luke's?"
Leyta raised her eyebrows in surprise. But then she answered
"Well, he is the only guy I've...well, you know with."
Quinn tried to muffle a laugh. Ben ran up to Leyta and jumped in
her lap. He said
"Mommy? Why are you crying?"
Quinn looked, he could see tears rolling down Leyta's cheeks. She said
"I'm fine Ben. You go and play now."
Ben hopped off Leyta's lap and ran off. Leyta saw Quinn and
Rembrandt looking at her. She said
"Okay, I'll tell you. Vader was given me and my family trouble so I
moved to Tatooine and Luke and I fell in love. When I was sixteen some
Vader started looking for me again and I had to leave. Nine months after I
left Ben was born. That's pretty much it."
Rembrandt looked around. He said
"We have a problem, Ben is gone."
"Your fiancee? Kid, you have a FIANCEE? What about Leia?"
Wade smiled in delight. She was the only one here that knew Leia
was Luke's sister. Luke shook his head
"I love Leia, but not like I love Leyta. Leia and I could never
have a relationship."
Wade thought, you got that right, Luke. Luke continued
"Leyta and I could. She was Obi- Wan's niece. She was my girlfriend
for about four years. I even proposed to her. But I haven't seen her since
she left to go to the academy. But..."
Sarah interrupted
"Do you guys hear something?"
Sure enough there was the soft sound of a young boy yelling
"Mommy! Rembrent! Quinn!"
Sarah turned to corner and saw the young boy who Quinn had saved
from Imperial troopers. The boy saw her and yelled
"Hey, aren't you Rembrent and Quinn's friend?"
Sarah nodded and the boy jumped into her arms. Han knelt down
beside the kid and said
"Hey, Kid, what's your name?"
The young boy jumped up and tried to look strong, he said
"I Ben Skywalker."
Luke jaw dropped down. He stumbled over the words
"Y-you ar -re B- ben S -skywalker?"
Ben nodded, he said
"Who you?"
Luke bit his lip
"I'm Luke Skywalker."
the boy's jaw dropped now. He said
"You my daddy?"
Luke's gaze was fixed on the young boy. They did look related. He
tried to get his tongue around the word
"Daddy?"
"Where could he have gone, Leyta?"
Quinn asked. She replied
"I don't know. He doesn't usually take off like this. But he may have gone
down one of the alleys that connects up farther. It leads to... The Imperial Palace.
Come on! We have to find him!"
Quinn grabbed Leyta shoulders
"You have to calm down, Leyta. Remember, you are being hunted down by
the Imperial army."
Leyta shook Quinn off. She said
"You don't understand. Vader is after Ben more than he's after me. He
knows about him being Luke and my child. Vader wants to use Ben and me to get
to Luke."
She clenched her fists
"I'm not going to let Vader ruin my life again."
Quinn and Rembrandt were barely able to start running before Leyta had
disappeared into the dark streets of Coruscant.
"Daddy? Luke what are you talking about?"
Han asked. Luke's gaze was fixed at a far point in the star speckled sky. He
said
"No, if Leyta were pregnant she would have told me. Would she?" Luke
looked down at the small child. He asked "Who's your mother?"
Ben Skywalker replied
"Leeta Kenbi."
Luke horrified looked increased. The three year old (yes, it had been almost
four years since Leyta had left.) gazed at Luke. The boy said, "Where's
mommy?"
Wade talked to Luke
"Leyta is probably just down another alley. We can go see if she's there."
Han tapped Luke's shoulder
"I hate to break this to you, Luke. But we have to go find Leia."
From behind a voice said
"Why do you have to find me?"
It was Princess Leia Organa, buns and all. But her usually neat buns were
messed and her usually immaculate white gown was covered with dirt and ripped.
Han looked at Leia
"Hey, Princess, do you know Luke has a wife and kid?"
Leia looked wide eyed at Luke. Luke defended himself
"I have a FIANCEE and kid. It's totally different. Isn't it?"
Leia's look did not change. Luke started to run. He yelled
"I don't know about you guys, but I'm going to find Leyta and get this sorted
out." Luke started to run. He soon crashed into another person. He could not see who
it was. The person said
"Have you.........Luke?"
Luke looked up. He whispered
"Leyta?"
"Oh geez......"
Leyta said. Luke and her just looked at each other. Luke turned away from
her. He exclaimed
"Jumping Banthas, Leyta! Where the hell have you been for the last four
years!"
Leyta smacked Luke's arm. She said
"Luke, I don't mind you being mad at me. But don't swear in front of your
son."
Leyta mouth then dropped open, I'm acting like my mother, she thought.
Rembrandt ran up, between gasps he managed to get out, "Quinn..... Imperial
soldiers..... Wade...... Kidnapped....."
Leyta turned to Rembrandt
"What do you mean? Wade?... oh crap."
Leyta clapped her hands over her mouth. But then noticed that Ben was
bothering Han and hadn't heard her. She finished
"Wade Wells is the officer put on my case. She is a free lance bounty
hunter. If she saw Quinn with me, she might have grabbed him to get to me."
Rembrandt shook his head
"No, this Wade recognised Quinn. She called him Captain Mallory."
Leia's eyes were wide
"Captain Quinn Mallory? He's part of the Alliance. This is great, Wade finally
got him. Quinn is dead."
Leyta turned to Leia
"Why?"
Leia explained
"Captain Quinn Mallory was Wade Wells' lover until he joined the Alliance.
When she wouldn't give up being a bounty hunter he left her. She has become
obsessed with finding him ever since."
Leyta turned back to Rembrandt. There was a piece of paper sticking out
of his pocket. She pulled it out, then read it, she gasped "What is it, Leyta?"
Luke asked, looking like a concerned boyfriend. She said
"It's from Vader. He says if I don't turn myself and Ben over to the Emperor
he is going to let Wade kill Quinn."
"Well, we have to do something. We just can't let my double kill Quinn."
Leyta turned to Wade
"We're not going to Wade. Do you think guards are going to keep Captain
Mallory's executionist out of the Imperial Palace?"
Han said
"I don't get it."
Leia laughed
"That's not surprising. Let me explain, we are going to go into the Imperial
palace. Wade will be able to get into the palace since her double is already there.
Even I know that and you were here before me."
Han shot a dirty look at the Princess. Arturo said
"I'm not going to march into the Imperial Palace."
Rembrandt said
"I'm with the Professor, it's just too dangerous."
Leyta laughed and gave Rembrandt Ben's hand. She said "Then you two
can look after Ben."
Quinn's hands ached. The Imperial soldiers that had grabbed him quickly
put him in binders. The Wade that walked next to him had wild, brown hair. She
wore all black and carried a mean- looking blaster. When they finally reached his
cell the troopers left and Wade closed the large, metal door. She kicked Quinn's
leg, which made him fall onto the hard metal floor. She then kicked him in his
stomach. She knelt down. She whispered
"Did that hurt, honey. I hope so."
She kicked him again
"That is how much it hurt when you left me to become a REBEL."
She said the word like it was poison. Quinn yelled
"It's not what you think. I'm not your Quinn..."
"Than who are you? Tell me that, huh?"
She snapped back. He said
"I'm from another dimension. Please, stop."
He could see how Wade's black boots were tipped with steel. bloodied
steel. Wade kissed his cheek. Then slapped him. Hard. She said
"If your new girlfriend doesn't come in an hour I get to kill you." Wade turned
to leave
"But, if she does come,"
She smiled
"I get to kill both of you."
"Tell me, Mister Brown, how did we get to be the nurse maids for this bratty
little boy."
Arturo asked Rembrandt. He replied
"Hey, Professor, it's not that bad. Ben is pretty cool." The blond boy climbed
up onto Arturo's shoulder. He said
"You very boring. Ben want fun."
Arturo picked the boy up and placed him on the ground. He said
"You know, you do not know proper English."
Rembrandt leaned over to the professor and said
"He's doing pretty good for a three year old."
Ben started to run in circles around Arturo. Arturo tried to grabbed Ben to
make him stop, but ended up heaving over into a puddle of mud. He got up and
looked at his clothes.
"I can't believe I have to watch this little brat. It's not my fault those reckless
teenagers had fun in the back of a landspeeder. What about the father who has never
seen his son before today? Doesn't he want to spend some quality time with him?
Their spawn must be my payback for some horrible thing in a past life."
Ben laughed. And hopped up on the crate next to Rembrandt. He said
"Professor cranky."
Rembrandt replied
"You don't know the half of it."
"Miss Wells? What are you doing in those ugly clothes? I thought you were
supposed to be with Captain Mallory now?"
One of the three stormtroopers outside of the Imperial castle asked Wade.
First Wade was offended, but she raced to make up an excuse. Sarah, Leyta, Luke,
Leia and Han stood in the shadows. Han took his blaster out of its holster. two of the
troopers backs were to him. All of the sudden there were several blasts and the two
troopers were sprawled out on the ground. The other trooper drew his blaster. But
was shot from a blaster from behind. Leyta smiled with satisfaction and slipped the
blaster back into Luke's holster, who looked in amazement, and admiration at the girl.
He hadn't even noticed his blaster was gone. Sarah said
"Well, how are we going to get inside? We could blast these troops, but
what about the ones inside?"
Han and Leia had already started to pull the dead troopers out of their
armour. Han said
"Well, you seen our movie, how did we get Leia out."
Luke looked up and said
"But there are only three stormtrooper uniforms. What about the other
three?"
Leyta stepped forward She took something off the stormtroopers belt. She
held out the binders to Luke
"Cuff me, Luke."
Luke looked confused and surprised. Leyta said
"Well Luke, you, Han and Sarah could wear the stormtrooper uniforms
and Leia and I can be cuffed. Wade doesn't need a disguise. Remember, she is
here already."
Luke fumbled to out the binders on Leyta's wrists. She said
"You never had trouble trying to cuff me when we we teenagers."
Luke started to blush and Han said
"Stop, I've already learned more about Luke than I ever wanted to know."
"Professor, I just occurred to me. Who has the timer?"
Arturo said
"Miss Mallory has it. But do not worry. We have a good twenty nine days
before the next slide."
Rembrandt nodded
"Good."
Ben had fallen asleep. Rembrandt felt like taken a nap himself. He had not
slept for two worlds. The last world they were constantly on the run from a cult called
the JODSERS, who were totally gone on Quinn. But lucky, they were only there for
fifteen hours. Rembrandt was just drifting off when he heard several growls. Then a
voice said
"Chewbacca, Master Luke said he was around here. I hope he and Captain
Solo have found Princess Leia."
Several beeps followed. Rembrandt could see people turn the corner. It was
a tall, hair Wookiee, a short garbage can like droid and a tall, metallic, gold droid. The
tall droid, whose name was See- Threepio said
"Hello, we were wondering have you seen a young man with blond hair
around here?"
Rembrandt replied
"Luke has gone to the Imperial palace saving a friend of ours. But he should
be back here soon, Threepio."
Threepio looked at the Ben, he said
"Who is this young man?"
Rembrandt answered
"This is Luke's son."
All Threepio could say was
"Oh my!"
"You know, Sarah looks ridiculous as a stormtrooper."
Leia said to Leyta. Sarah looked back at Leia. Sarah muttered something
about hair stylists and left it at that. Han roughly grabbed Leia's wrists, he really knew
how to act like a stormtrooper. While Luke held Leyta's hands, gently, but was able
to disguise it like he was leading her. And not holding her. Leyta looked at Luke, even
thought his face was covered by a helmet, she knew he was smiling.
"There is only five minutes left, I say we just kill Captain Mallory. Miss Kenobi
will never come."
Captain Piett stated to the Dark Lord, Darth Vader. But a voice from behind
said
"No, I think Captain Mallory is ready to join the Imperial Army. I have been
talking to him and it is painfully obvious he is still in love with me."
Piett laughed
"Miss Wells, you are suffering from an infatuated delusion. Mallory must die."
Wade laughed, then slapped Piett
"You are the one suffering delusions, thinking you intimidate me. Well, I really
must go."
She turned on her heels and added
"I must go see how my fiancee is doing."
"Hey you, Lucas! What are you doing with those prisoner?"
Luke turned. There was a stormtrooper behind them talking to him. Luke
said
"New prisoners from the streets. These girls protested the new Imperial
dress code by stripping naked."
Under her breath Leyta whispered
"You wish, Skywalker."
The trooper walked up to Leyta and grabbed her waist, he said
"Lucas, bring her up to my private chambers where we can reenact the
crime. Right baby?"
Leyta kicked him. He yelled obscenities and threw Leyta across the hall.
Luke yelled
"Hey, leave her alone!"
When the trooper pulled out his blaster Luke pulled out his own much faster
and shot the man. He ran over to Leyta and removed his helmet
"Are you okay?"
Leyta got up. Her arm was bruised up pretty bad, but other than that she
looked okay. She said
"I'm fine, but Luke, you can't do that. What if you couldn't have shot him so
fast?"
Luke put his arm around Leyta to help her stand up. He said
"I wasn't going to let him kill you."
Leyta thought, then kissed Luke. It lasted a few moments. The hard material
of the armour pressed against Leyta's soft dress. Then Han yelled
"Hey, lovebirds, We have to go save Quinn, remember?"
Wade thought she looked fabulous. She had put on her new black dress.
She was going to surprise Quinn. She thought about how nice it would be to have
him back. Wade opened up Quinn's cell door
"Quinn, darling, are you here?"
There was no answer, she walked right into the cell. Quinn was gone! The
door slammed shut. Wade then saw in the small window Quinn, Leyta and *herself*
waving at her! Wade ran to the door. They had locked it! Damn! Vader wasn't going
to like this, and neither was her mom (when are you going to settle down with Quinn,
blah, blah, blah!).
"Rrrrrhhhhhhh!"
"BbbbeeeeppppBllleeepppp!"
"Chewbacca and Artoo are correct. Master Luke has no living relatives."
See- Threepio translated for Rembrandt and Arturo. Rembrandt said
"No, man, your wrong. Skywalker himself didn't know about the kid until
today. But this is his son."
Chewbacca growled again. Their were voices of people coming up through
one of the alleys. He pulled his bow caster out. He was relieved to see Han in the
armour of a stormtrooper, sans helmet, Princess Leia, Luke Skywalker, also in
stormtrooper disguise a tall, handsome human male and two pretty human females,
one with short brown hair the other with long brown hair. Behind them was a short
stormtrooper without their helmet. Chewie could see a girl with wild blond hair
underneath the armour. Han said
"Chewie? When did you get here? Well, that doesn't matter, come on, we're
going to the Falcon now."
Quinn, leaning on Wade's shoulder after her double's visit with him, asked
"Professor, how long until we slide?"
Sarah had pulled out the timer and before Arturo could answer she said
"Two day and three hours."
Arturo gave her a quizzical glance, she added
"You must have mistaken the three for a thirty."
Luke said
"Well, if you guys are leaving in two days then will wait. Bounty Hunter Wells
will most likely be looking for you."
Quinn nodded in agreement. Han said
"Well, I'm still going to the Falcon. No offence on your home Leyta, but I can't
stand another minute here."
Leyta smiled, and exchanged a flirtatious glance with Luke
"I have a feeling I will be changing my address soon."
"Hey Princess? Do you mind helping me with this armour?"
Han said. He was struggling to get the plate off of his back. Leia came up
to him and said
"Can't you do anything by yourself?"
Leyta was helping Luke with his armour, Ben was asleep in the cockpit of
the Millennium Falcon. Once Luke's armour had been taken off and thrown away
Luke grabbed Leyta's waist and said
"How about I help you with your clothing now, Leyta?"
Leyta laughed and said
"Maybe later when they're aren't so many spectators."
Luke looked around, sure enough there was about ten people in the back of
the Falcon. Leyta pushed away from Luke and said
"Will always have the back of your landspeeder,and left to take care of Ben,
who had waken up and was yelling for Leyta. Quinn came up to Luke. He said
"So, you really love her?"
Luke answered
"Yeah, she's the greatest girl I've ever known. She smart, funny and
beautiful. She's perfect."
Quinn looked back at Wade, who was talking to Leia and Han. He said
"I know a girl like that."
"Ben, whats wrong?"
Leyta asked her son. He sat up in the large pilots chair of the Millennium Falcon.
He said
"Where daddy?"
Leyta replied
"He's in the back, Ben. Do you want to see him?" Ben nodded and Leyta left to
the back, where Luke was talking to Quinn. She said "Luke, Ben wants you."
Thought surprised, Luke left to see Ben. Wade walked up to Leyta. She could
see the look of total admiration for Luke on her face. Well, it looks like the movie
storyline is going to change in this universe, Wade thought. She said
"So, do you think Luke is excited about being a dad?" Leyta shook her head
"I don't know. I mean Luke and I always talked about having children, but after
we got married. I'm nineteen for god's sake. I never thought I would be a mother so
young."
Wade's eyes bulged out, surprised at the pretty woman's age "Nineteen? How
old is Luke?"
Leyta replied
"He's twenty, I know. I was pregnant when I was sixteen. I still can't believe it."
Leyta could feel Wade's uneasiness. She said "I'm going to go see how Ben
and Luke are doing." She left to the front of the Falcon. She heard Luke talking to Ben
"So you love your mommy, don't you, Ben?" Ben nodded. Luke continued
"I love her too. I want to know, what do you think about me marrying her?" Leyta
smiled. She said
"How about you ask Mommy first?"
Luke turned and saw Leyta standing there. He said "It was never very official on
Tatooine. So, will you marry me, Leyta?" Leyta looked at Luke, then at Ben. Geez, he
looked so much like his father. She said
"Well, we already have a good start on the family thing. So......." Leyta sat down
next to Luke, she kissed him "Yes."
Every single person on the Millennium Falcon was asleep. Arturo slept on the
floor, with Rembrandt, Quinn, Sarah and Wade nearby. Chewbacca fell asleep in his
seat at the holographic chess board along with Ben. Artoo and Threepio had turn on
their rest cycles and leaned against the wall. Unbeknowest to them, Leia and Han fell
asleep and were leaning on each other. And the small chair barely big enough for one
person now held both Luke and Leyta. Leyta sat in Luke laps while their leaning back
almost made the chair tip.
Quinn woke up first, he got up off the floor and looked around him. He rubbed
his head and walked into the cockpit so not to wake anybody. He sat down in the pilot
seat. He heard a voice behind him. It said "Playing pilot?"
It was Wade. She sat down in the co pilot's seat. He said "Well, this is our last
day in Star Wars land. I'll be glad to leave." Wade looked at where everybody was
sleeping she said "It's not that bad. We know the Empire will be over thrown. So we
shouldn't worry. And Luke and Leia and Hana nd Leyta are really nice." She then
added
"Do you think Leyta and Luke will get back together?" Quinn nodded
"Yeah, I talked to Luke. He thinks Leyta is the greatest person in the galaxy."
He then added
"Just the way I feel about you."
Wade's mouth dropped open. She regained composure and said "I tought we
agreed......"
Quinn cut her off
"Wea agreed nothing, Wade. I think you're great and......." Wade was surprised
"And?"
Quinn finished
"And I love you."
Quinn let go of his breath. Wade leaned forward and kissed Quinn. The lingered
for a moment, then kissed again. Wade said "I love you too."
Sarah had woken up and had already snuck out of the Falcon. He had heard
Wade and Quinn talking in the cockpit. Well, not all of it had been talking. But they
were using their lips. She walked around. She saw the people of Coruscant.
Beggars, theives and stormtroopers. That was it. It sickened Sarah to watch all of
these poor people. She thought it was horrible, what the Empire was doing to them.
Sarah saw a young girl, she was bloody and dirty. She went up to her. She could see
that she was crying. Sarah said
"What happened?"
The young girl said
"Stormtroopers killed my parents and destroyed my home." Sarah looked
horrified
"Why did they do that?"
The girl said
"My father didn't pay his taxes, so they killed him." Sarah tried to comfort the
girl, but nothing worked. Soon, when Sarah's back was turned the girl ran away. She
did not truts anybody. This made up Sarah's mind. She knew what she had to do
"I'm staying in this world, Quinn."
Sarah said to her brother. He said
"Why?"
She replied
"These people need my help. There are innocent people dying. I can't leave
them. I know how the feel. It was like my old world." Quinn nodded. He knew he could
not change her mind. She said "It's only till I can help destroy the Empire. I can make
a new slider here. Once I do, and the Empire is destroyed I'll go home. Who knows,
maybe I will get home before you."
Quinn smiled. Arturo said
"Three minutes till we slide."
Luke and Leyta walked over to Quinn, in each others arms, Quinn asked
"Where are you going now?"
Luke answered
"Hoth. Mon Mothma has set up a new rebel base. But first, will make a brief
stop at the altar."
They smiled at each other. Leyta said
"Thank you, for saving our son."
Ben ran up and hugged all of the slider. Han and Leia nodded at them asks
Chewie growled and Artoo beeped. For once, Threepio had nothing to say. Sarah
approached her brother
"I'll see you at home, Quinn."
She tried to hid her tears. She hugged him "Tell Mom I love and miss her."
"I will."
She moved on to Wade
"Take care of him. okay Wade?"
She nodded. Sarah moved to the professor "Bye, Professor."
He said
"Good bye, Commander Mallory."
She replied
"That's Miss Mallory."
Next was Rembrandt
"Goddbye, Cryin Man."
He was really crying right now. As the portal opened Luke yelled "May the Force
be with you."
And the Sliders jumped through, to a new world. Hopefully home.
Epilogue
"Ouch!"
"Mr. Brown!"
"Ooooohhh, that's going to bruise!"
"Professor, watch your arm!"
The sliders landed with four hard thumps. They looked around. They were in a
forest. They saw Luke and Leyta. Leyta said "Luke, I love you."
and they kissed. This produced four groans from the sliders. But then they
heard somebody yell
"Cut!"
It was George Lucas! This was a new Star Wars movie! They all sighed. At
least they would not have to run from stormtroopers now.
"Captain Mallory?"
Sarah turned. She was wearing the orange uniform of an X-Wing pilot. It was
now twenty three years old. It was seven years after she had arrive on this Star Wars
planet. She said
"Yes, General Skywalker."
The young, pretty, brunette general said "I have your discharge papers. Your
service in the New Republic is over. You can use your slider to go home. See, it's
signed right there, Madame Head of State Leia Organa Solo. If you would like to stay,
you can come to Yavin Four with me, Luke, Ben and Myna?" Sarah smiled. She said
"I wonder if Quinn ever made it home. I better go and find out."
