                                   Gossip

CAUTION!  This story contains foul language and mature subject matters.

	It had been two weeks since the 'incident'.  That's what it was 
being called because no one really knew what actually happened.  The 
separation of Jimmy and Callie Clayton was the hot topic for all of the 
gossips in Swans Crossing.  Codi wasn't handling it too well.  She was 
sitting in the library trying to study, but she found herself watching 
Mr. Han reshelf books.  She didn't even notice when David walked up 
behind her.

DAVID:  Hey.

	She jumped.

CODI:  Oh my God!  You startled me.

	He leaned down and kissed her.

DAVID:  I guess the study thing isn't happening?

	She shook her head.

CODI:  I've got other things on my mind.

	David sat down next to her and grabbed her hand.

DAVID:  Jimmy and Callie?

	Codi nodded.

CODI:  Yeah. … You know, I wanted a family my entire life and when I 
finally get one…

	He kissed the back of her hand.

CODI:  It's just not fair David!

	He put his arm around her and she laid her head on his shoulder.

DAVID:  I know Codi … They're gonna work it out.

CODI:  I hope so.  AJ's not taking it too well either.  He's been really 
fussy.

	David stood up.

DAVID:  Come on.

CODI:  Where are we going?

DAVID:  You are in the need of some mindless fun.

	Codi had a curious look on her face.

CODI:  What kind of mindless fun?

DAVID:  I was thinking renting a video and going to your house to watch 
it.

	Codi smiled.

CODI:  What's wrong with going to your house?

	David kissed her cheek.

DAVID:  Nothing if you want my sisters continually bothering us.

CODI:  My house it is.

	Codi collected her things and they headed out of the library.

	Sophia Eva McCormick DeCastro sat in her brand new convertible 
Porsche which was parked outside the Tool n' Die.  She had heard all of 
the gossip and she was quite curious to know if the rumor of Jimmy 
having an affair was true and if it was, why she wasn't the one.  Before 
she got out of her car, something or rather someone caught her eye.

SOPHIA:  Well, well, well … yummy!

	Barek pulled up to the Tool n' Die and got off of his bike.  He 
would have walked right past her, but she spoke to him.

SOPHIA:  Haven't seen you around for a while.

BAREK:  Well if it isn't the young Miss DeCastro.

	She got out of her car.

SOPHIA:  I'm all grown up now.

	Barek grinned.

BAREK:  Yes you are. … So I see you have a new car.  Not bad.

	She leaned against her car seductively.

SOPHIA:  Wanna go for a ride?

BAREK:  In the car, right?

SOPHIA:  It's a start.

BAREK:  Oh why the hell not.

	They jumped in the car and drove off.

	Ashlee and Neil were cuddled up on the couch in her apartment.

NEIL:  Is your headache gone yet?

ASHLEE:  Yeah.  Thanks for holding me Neil.  You have such a calming 
effect on me.

NEIL:  I'm glad I can I can be of service to you.

	He kissed her on top of the head.

ASHLEE:  Are we still going to dinner with JT and Glory?

NEIL:  Nope.  They canceled.  Glory is trying to cheer up Callie.

ASHLEE:  Do you know what really happened between those two?

NEIL:  Not a clue.  But I did hear that Callie's not speaking with the 
Captain.

ASHLEE:  I know that Sydney knows, but she's not saying a word.

NEIL:  Eventually the real story will come out.  It always does in this 
town.

	Sandy and Owen returned from New York.  Their first CD was in 
post-production.  Saja and Nancy picked them up and they all went to 
dinner.

SANDY:  So what's been going on in Swans Crossing while we've been gone?

	Nancy looked at Saja.

NANCY:  You mean Robert didn't tell you?

	Saja shook his head.

SAJA:  I thought you would have told Owen.

OWEN:  Tell me what?

NANCY:  Callie and Jimmy are separated.

	The table went silent.

SANDY:  You're serious? … What happened?

NANCY:  Well, I've heard everything from they were both having affairs 
to spousal abuse.

OWEN:  Sounds like the rumor mills are in working order.

SAJA:  That's correct.

SANDY:  Surely Sydney and Garrett know something?

NANCY:  Of course they do, but their lips are sealed.

	Owen noticed a couple walk through the front door of the 
restaurant.

OWEN:  Uh, Robert, isn't that your sister with Barek?

SAJA:  Oh God!  She's in heat again.
