Sydney was lying on the couch. Her feet were resting on
Garrett's lap and he was rubbing them. It was the day before her
twenty-first birthday and instead of having a huge party, Sydney had
opted on having a family dinner.
SYDNEY: You know, for an intimate dinner party, there sure are a lot of
people invited.
GARRETT: Who's on the list?
SYDNEY: Beside the three of us, there's my parents, your parents, Grant
and Mila, Glory and JT, Aunt Mary, Sanna, Isabelle and David, Callie,
Jimmy, AJ, and Codi. That's what, nineteen?
GARRETT: I thought you were going to invite Ralph?
SYDNEY: I did, but he's in England visiting his family for a month.
GARRETT: Oh yeah.
So, are you sure you want to cook?
SYDNEY: Why, cause it's my birthday?
Garrett grinned.
GARRETT: No. I just didn't think you'd want to poison that many people.
Sydney kicked at Garrett, extremely close to his manhood.
GARRETT: Hey! Watch it! I would like to get you pregnant again
someday.
SYDNEY: Keep insulting my cooking and you'll never get the chance.
Garrett stuck his bottom lip out as far as he could.
GARRETT: I'm sorry. I was just teasing.
SYDNEY: I forgive you
this time.
His hand started to move up her leg.
GARRETT: You really have turned into a pretty decent cook.
Sydney laughed.
SYDNEY: Okay, now you just trying to get laid.
His had crept further up her leg to her thigh and into her
shorts.
GARRETT: How am I doing?
SYDNEY: That all depends.
GARRETT: On what?
As if on cue, Emily ran into the room and climbed up on Garrett's
lap.
GARRETT: Okay, you two planned this.
EMILY: Read me.
Sydney pulled her feet from Garrett and stood up.
SYDNEY: Yes Daddy, read her a story. I'm going to start dinner.
She stuck her tongue out at him and left the room.
GARRETT: I sure hope your mommy likes her birthday present.
EMILY: I get pesents too?
GARRETT: No babygirl, it's Mommy's birthday, not yours.
EMILY: Mommy birfday?
Garrett kissed the top of his beautiful little girl's head and
opened the storybook that she had given him.

Callie walked through the front door of her home carrying her
son. She dropped her backpack on the floor and yelled for her husband.
CALLIE: Clayton!
Jimmy came barreling down the stairs into the foyer.
JIMMY: What's wrong?
She handed AJ to him.
CALLIE: Take your son.
Jimmy took him and began talking to him.
JIMMY: Uh oh. Mom's mad. What'd you do?
AJ started laughing.
CALLIE: He decided to scream at the top of his lungs from your mother's
to here. Do you have any idea how long that drive is? Fifteen minutes!
JIMMY: Callie, he's only sixteen months old.
CALLIE: I know how he is! Look, right now I have a splitting headache.
Please, just give him a bath and put him to bed.
JIMMY: Shouldn't I feed him first?
CALLIE: Your mom already did. That's why I'm so late. She was feeding
him when I got there.
Callie started to climb the stairs.
JIMMY: Where are you going?
CALLIE: I'm gonna go lie down and try to get rid of this headache.
When Callie was out of sight, AJ started crying for her. Jimmy
tried to calm him down.
JIMMY: Hey little man, you want to get a bath?
AJ: Mama!
JIMMY: Son, your mom's not feeling well. She's gone night-night.
AJ began to throw a fit. Luckily, Codi walked through the door.
AJ: Co-ee!
Codi took AJ from Jimmy.
CODI: What's wrong baby? Where's Mommy?
JIMMY: Trying to get rid of the headache induced by your beloved nephew.
CODI: Ohh.
AJ snuggled into Codi.
CODI: I think someone's sleepy.
JIMMY: Callie told me to give him a bath, but I don't think he wants
one.
CODI: You'll let me give you a bath, won't you big boy? What's for
dinner?
JIMMY: You want pizza?
CODI: Sure.
Codi headed upstairs with AJ and Jimmy grabbed the phone to
order dinner. An hour later, the baby was bathed and put to bed and the
pizza had just arrived. Jimmy handed the boxes to Codi.
JIMMY: Take these into the kitchen and I'll go get Callie.
When Jimmy went into their bedroom, Callie was fast asleep. He
leaned over her and kissed her. Her arms instinctively went around his
neck.
JIMMY: Pizza's here.
CALLIE: I don't want pizza.
JIMMY: Well, what do you want?
Callie smiled and pulled him closer to her.
CALLIE: You.
They kissed again, deeper.
JIMMY: I guess your headache's gone?
CALLIE: Mm hmm.
JIMMY: As much as I would love to do this right now, I'm starved.
Callie gave a defeated reply.
CALLIE: Fine.
She pushed Jimmy off of her and sat up.
CALLIE: What's the AJ status?
JIMMY: Sound asleep.
CALLIE: You know how much I love AJ, but he's turning into a handful
and he's not even a year and a half yet.
JIMMY: He's a Clayton man.
Jimmy helped her off of the bed.
CALLIE: Well, some of the Walker traits better surface soon or he's
gonna be an only child.
Jimmy kissed Callie sweetly.
JIMMY: Let's go get some pizza before your sister eats it all.

The next morning, Sydney woke to Garrett pleasuring her nether
region. She began moaning uncontrollably.
SYDNEY: Oh baby
mmm.
GARRETT: Happy birthday, baby.
SYDNEY: Come here baby.
Garrett crawled up her body.
SYDNEY: I like waking up like this.
Garrett's lips descended on hers.
GARRETT: I'm far from finished.
Before long, their bodies were moving as one. Both were
becoming slick with sweat and they were being quite vocal.
SYDNEY: Oh!
Oh Garrett!
Oh Fuck!
Garrett felt Sydney begin her third orgasm of the morning and
quickly followed her into ecstasy. He collapsed on top of her, resting
his head on her chest.
SYDNEY: Oh God! It gets better with age.
Without warning, they heard a tiny knock on their locked bedroom
door. Then they heard a loud little voice.
EMILY: Me in now!
GARRETT: I'm getting that kid a bell.
Sydney laughed.
SYDNEY: Just put your shorts on and let her in.
Garrett got dressed and opened the door. Emily came charging in
and climbed on the huge bed.
EMILY: Mommy no clothes.
GARRETT: You, babygirl, are very observant.
Sydney clutched the sheet to her chest.
SYDNEY: Mommy got hot.
She smiled at Garrett
EMILY: Ohhh.
Go ride!
SYDNEY: We're not riding your horsy today babygirl. Today's Mommy's
birthday.
EMILY: I get pesents.
Sydney hugged her daughter and chuckled.
SYDNEY: We'll see.
Why don't you and Daddy go down to the kitchen and
get something to eat and let Mommy get a shower?
Garrett picked Emily up, gave Sydney and quick kiss and left the
room. Sydney fell back on her pillow and smiled.
SYDNEY: Today is definitely going to be a happy day.

Mila was at her mother's early. The Countess insisted on
meeting with the wedding planner to make sure everything was on schedule
for the June wedding.
COUNTESS: Now you must remember, we must accommodate traditions of our
European guest.
MILA: Momma, this is getting out of control. Grant and I don't want a
huge wedding.
CORDELIA: Mila, darling, there are people in European society that must
be invited. It's part of your birthright.
Diane, the coordinator, was making notes in her book.
DIANE: So, how many guest are we looking at now?
COUNTESS: At least seven hundred and fifty.
Mila threw the magazine she was holding down on the table.
MILA: No! No! No! This is MY wedding. Mine and Grant's. I will not
have you turn it into one of your productions.
The Countess and Diane just looked at Mila and continued their
conversation.
DIANE: For that many people, I suggest the Gazebo in Swan Park.
COUNTESS: Oh yes. That will be lovely.
MILA: Excuse me! I believe that I said that isn't what I want!
DIANE: Trust me Miss Rosnovsky by the time you're wedding day arrives,
you will be quite pleased.
MILA: Fine! Keep planning the wedding of YOUR dreams. But I promise
you, I sure as hell won't be there!
Mila got up and stormed out of the house.
DIANE: Now, about flowers

Sydney was putting the final touches on the dining room table.
SYDNEY: Perfect.
Garrett quietly walked up behind her, put his arms around her
and kissed her neck.
GARRETT: Yes you are.
SYDNEY: Thank you.
What time is it?
GARRETT: Ten to six.
SYDNEY: Where's Em?
GARRETT: Playing in her room.
SYDNEY: Okay. I'm going to get her dressed.
She attempted to step away from her husband, but he wasn't quite
ready to let her go.
SYDNEY: Garrett?
GARRETT: What?
Sydney laughed and turned to face him.
SYDNEY: I need to get Emily ready.
GARRETT: I already did.
Sydney looked at Garrett in amazement.
SYDNEY: You did?
GARRETT: Well, you had everything laid out. It's not like I've never
dressed her before.
She smiled and kissed him.
SYDNEY: What about her hair?
Emily entered the dining room. She was a vision in her green
dress and her simply braided hair.
SYDNEY: Not bad Booth. Have you ever thought of a career change? I've
been looking for a new stylist.
Garrett goosed her.
GARRETT: It's my new life's ambition.
EMILY: I pwity Mommy.
She twirled around. Sydney leaned down and kissed and hugged
her daughter.
SYDNEY: Yes you are babygirl. Who did your hair?
EMILY: Daddy.
Garrett picked her up and kissed Sydney again. That's when the
doorbell rang.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Although Sydney had cooked the entire dinner herself, she hired
waiters to serve. At first she was going to do it herself, but she was
so nervous she was afraid that she would spill soup on someone. By the
time the main course was served, she was more at ease.
DOUGLAS: Sydney, this is Beef Wellington is wonderful.
SYDNEY: Thank you Daddy.
CORNELIA: Where'd you get the recipe?
SYDNEY: Ralph. He worked with me until I got it perfect.
Garrett smirked.
GARRETT: Believe me, it took a long, long time for perfection.
SYDNEY: Yes, poor Garrett was my guinea pig, but he survived.
Garrett's next comment was barely audible.
GARRETT: Barely.
SYDNEY: I heard that.
She winked at him.
GRANT: Well, I for one am impressed.
Sydney was beaming with pride. She had proven not only to her
family that she was capable of something other than delegating, but also
mainly to herself. After the dishes we're cleared, everyone went into
the family room. The lights were dimmed and the birthday cake was
rolled in. Tears came to her eyes as she looked down at it. Garrett
was in charge of getting the cake. It was decorated with a photo of
Sydney, Garrett and Emily and it said, "Happy 21st Birthday Mommy".
GARRETT: Do you like?
Sydney smiled and kissed him sweetly.
SYDNEY: I love it. Thank you.
EMILY: Mommy get pesents now?
Margaret picked her granddaughter up to look at the cake.
MARGARET: Not yet sweetie.
Emily looked at the cake.
EMILY: That me! That me!
DOUGLAS: It's the prettiest cake I've ever seen.
After feeding Emily and AJ their cake. Sydney and Callie
cleaned them up and let them run free through the party guests. Then
the girls walked over to Mila who was looking frazzled.
SYDNEY: So how are the wedding plans coming along?
Mila groaned.
MILA: Well, let's just say that if my mother keeps going the way she
is, Grant and I are going to Vegas.
SYDNEY: Hey, worked for me.
JT and Glory walked up.
JT: I kind of have a problem with my food staring at me.
They looked at him strange. Glory pointed to his cake.
GLORY: He got Garrett's eyes.
JT: They just kind of follow me everywhere I go.
Sydney smiled and rolled her eyes.
MILA: I don't know what I'm going to do. Nothing is what I want.
Grant and I want it simple and small in that chapel by Swan Lake. Momma
has a guest list of almost eight hundred people and us getting married
in the Gazebo in Swan Park. Plus, everything is pink. I'm not a little
girl anymore.
GLORY: Have you told her to stop?
Grant walked up behind Mila and put his arms around her.
GRANT III: Told who to stop what?
MILA: Momma and the wedding.
GRANT III: Oh.
MILA: Is that all you can say, 'Oh'?
GRANT III: Baby, what do you want me to say. Do you want me to say
that your mom is insane?
JT: It would be accurate.
Glory backslapped JT in the stomach.
GLORY: JT!
MILA: Don't be mad at him Glory, you know how Momma is when she's in
planning mode.
No one heard Margaret approach the group.
MARGARET: Perhaps I can be of some help.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
The teenagers had congregated in the game room. Isabelle and
Sanna were playing pinball and Codi and David were playing pool.
CODI: Eight ball, side pocket.
David winced as the ball fell into its predicted pocket.
DAVID: Why the hell do I let you continue to humiliate me?
Codi smiled and rubbed up against him.
CODI: It's cuz ya like me.
She kissed him. The twins rolled their eyes.
SANNA: Do you two always have to do that?
David held Codi tighter.
DAVID: You're just jealous.
Isabelle replied sarcastically.
ISABELLE: Oh yeah. That's it. We're jealous of her kissing our
brother.
SANNA: It's just gross.
ISABELLE: Yeah, find a room.
Codi whispered into David's ear.
CODI: We had one til they came in here.
David grinned at his sisters and then proceeded to make out with
his girlfriend. Before the twins could lose their dinner, their mother
entered the room.
MARY: Break it up you two.
DAVID: Mom!
MARY: Come on you guys. The party's in the other room.
ISABELL & SANNA: Yes ma'am.
Isabelle and Sanna walked out of the game room. Codi and David
hadn't moved.
MARY: You too.
DAVID: This sucks!
MARY: David!
DAVID: No Mom, I'm getting sick of this.
MARY: Sick of what?
DAVID: Every time Codi and I are alone for more than five minutes, we
get a chaperone.
MARY: David
CODI: They don't trust us.
David and Mary looked at her.
CODI: They think that is they leave us alone for more than five minutes,
we'll end up in bed together.
MARY: That's not true.
CODI: Isn't it?
Mary thought for a second.
MARY: Maybe a little.
DAVID: Thanks Mom. It's nice to know that you have so little faith in
me.
MARY: Put yourselves in our shoes.
DAVID: Huh?
MARY: From the day you two met, you've been all over each other. You
are too young to be this serious.
Codi stood there silently. For the first time in a while, she
missed Leda. She may not have been "Mother of the Year", but at least
Codi had the freedom to live her own life.
DAVID: What are you really saying Mom?
MARY: Maybe the two of you shouldn't see each other for a while.
David threw the chalk that was in his hand across the room.
DAVID: You realize you're acting just like your father!
Codi put her hand on David's arm. Mary saw how the touch
relaxed her son.
CODI: Dr. Ellis, there is no need for you to worry. I'm a virgin and
I plan on staying that way for a long, long time.
David gave Codi a strange look. She was the one who usually
initiated the sexual contact. Now she was basically admitting to being
a tease.
MARY: You say that now, but
CODI: Dr. Ellis, I care about your son
a lot, but we've only known
each other for six months. I'm not even sixteen yet. Okay, I'll admit
that like every other teenager, I get urges. But I know not to act on
them.
MARY: I can see you've thought about this a lot.
CODI: I really have.
David was still confused.
CODI: All I can ask is that you trust us
and actually let us be by
ourselves sometimes.
Mary hugged Codi and then David.
MARY: You've got a truly intelligent girlfriend David.
David smiled.
DAVID: Thanks.
MARY: I'll give you two a few minutes to yourselves, but then you need
to join the rest of the party.
DAVID: Yes Mom.
CODI: Thank you Dr. Ellis.
Mary left the room. Codi checked to make sure she was out of
earshot.
CODI: I think she bought it.
David gave her a confused look.
DAVID: You were lying.
CODI: For the most part.
She hugged him, pressing her body against his.
CODI: She was going to make us breakup. I had to say something.
You're the only thing in my life that makes sense to me and I can't lose
you. I
I love you David.
He kissed her lightly.
DAVID: I love you too Codi.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Approximately an hour later, Sydney was busy opening her
presents.
SYDNEY: Oh Callie I love it.
It was a gold chain with an angel. In the heart of it was
Emily's birthstone.
JIMMY: It's from me too.
Everyone looked at him.
JIMMY: Well, I signed the card.
Laughter erupted.
SYDNEY: Thank you too Jimmy.
The doorbell unexpectantly rang.
GARRETT: Sydney, why don't you answer it.
SYDNEY: What are you up to Booth?
GARRETT: Who me?
Sydney got up and went over to the door. She cautiously opened
it and saw nothing. Emily walked in front of her and picked up a red
ribbon on the ground.
EMILY: Here Mommy pesent.
Emily gave Sydney a huge smile.
SYDNEY: What is it babygirl?
Emily shrugged her shoulders and ran to her grandfather.
EMILY: Poppy, pick me up!
Grant obliged the tiny girl.
GARRETT: Aren't you going to follow it?
SYDNEY: This better not be embarrassing in any way Garrett.
GARRETT: Trust me.
Sydney reluctantly followed the ribbon. It wrapped around the
house through the yard and into the garage. The garage door slowly
opened and Sydney screamed. Sitting in the spot where her car usually
was, was a brand new, 1999 Mercedes-Benz CKL 320 Cabriolet. She dropped
the ribbon and jumped into Garrett's arms.
SYDNEY: I can't believe you got me a car.
GARRETT: Well, you said you wanted a new one.
Sydney kissed him and whispered in his ear.
SYDNEY: You are going to be so sore tomorrow.
She stuck her tongue in his ear.
GARRETT: Ooh I love myself.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Soon after that, everyone left. At Sydney's insistent request,
okay so she begged, Margaret and Douglas took Emily home with them.
Garrett tipped the waiters and then they had their home to themselves.
She wrapped her arms around her husband's neck and began kissing him.
GARRETT: I think tonight went extremely well.
Sydney began to unbutton Garrett's shirt.
SYDNEY: Sex now. Talk later.
Garrett looked like he was thinking about it. Sydney grabbed
his shirt and pushed it off of him. Then started kissing his chest.
She looked at him with that devilish Sydney grin and pulled her dress
over her head and stood in the kitchen in only her thin red silk thong.
Garrett picked her up and Sydney wrapped her legs around his waist. As
he suckled her breast, Sydney lifted her body into him. He removed his
mouth from her and laid her on the table behind her. Sydney stared up
at Garrett. Her eyes were drunk with desire for Garrett. He began to
unbutton his pants. The strain from his own desire was becoming too
uncomfortable and he had to release it. Sydney's hands were roaming
over her body. She was on fire and until Garrett was joined with her,
she had to sate her own need. Garrett gasped as Sydney's hand went
beneath the thin, red material that barely covered the part of her that
was truly and only his.
SYDNEY: You want to watch or do you want to join me?
Garrett swallowed hard as he watched Sydney pleasure herself.
He grabbed her thong by the thin band and pulled the silk cloth from
her. Her hand never stopped. Sydney smiled as she saw him grow bigger
under his boxers.
SYDNEY: You like to watch, don't you?
He grinned and then rubbed his hand over her body.
GARRETT: I like to help more.
God your body just keeps getting better.
Garrett removed his boxers and climbed onto the table with his
wife.
GARRETT: So, did you make a wish?
SYDNEY: Uh huh. Now come here and make it come true.
