                      Sydney's Journal: Mila's Wedding

June 13, 1999 1:07 A.M.

I am so wired. Garrett and I just got home from Mila and Grant's
reception. My husband is drunkenly trying to get ready for bed. I
should be angry with him, but he rarely gets drunk so I'll let it go
(this time).

Anyway, the wedding itself was lovely. It was everything Mila
wanted. The ceremony was held in the chapel next to Swan Lake. It was
decorated with ivy and white roses. There were even a couple of pink
ones just to please the Countess.

Her dress was beautiful. It was a simple white satin, strapless
gown (I forget the designer). Of course she wore the tiara that her
mother wore and had lace attached. It complimented the dress
beautifully.

Grant looked rather handsome in his tux. Of course I personally
think that the best man was way more gorgeous. (Garrett of course.)
Mila's cousin Tasha was the maid of honor, Glory was the bridesmaid and
Emily was the flower girl. Mila wanted the wedding party as small as
possible. Emmy looked so adorable. Her dress was a mini version of
Mila's except Em's had lace over the shoulders. Grant's other groomsman
was Jayson Clayton. (Just thought I'd throw that in to get the whole
wedding party.)

After the ceremony, we all headed to the Swan Club for the
reception. Once again, the decorations were simple. Owen and Sandy
provided the music. That was Mila's way of getting her "Uncle Bobby" to
hear them live. He seemed quite impressed. Of course the last time he
heard them they were fourteen. Anyway, he talked to them forever when
they finished. Nancy seemed happy. She really wants this for Owen.
That and it will get her parents off of her back. (The Robbins hate
the fact that their daughter is married to Owen Fowler.)

Callie and Jimmy did everything they could to cheer up Codi.
David left for baseball camp Friday and she's completely depressed. It
reminded me of when Garrett left to go back to school in France. Of
course David's only going to be gone for a month, but when you're
sixteen, one month is a lifetime. Even Isabelle and Sanna were trying
to cheer her up. I didn't even think they got along.

Back to the reception Grant very sweetly dabbed cake on Mila's
nose and put the small piece of cake into her mouth. Of course then he
licked the icing off. Mila wasn't as nice. She got a really big smile
on her face and then smashed cake into Grant's face. He then kissed her
and got cake all over her face. When Mila threw the bouquet, it
literally fell into Glory's hands. Neil patted JT on the back and
laughed just as the garter landed on Neil's shoulder. That's when
everybody started laughing. Especially Ashlee.

After two hours of dancing and mingling, Mr. and Mrs. Grant
Halsey Booth III left for Hawaii. The rest of us stayed for several
more hours and ate, drank and partied. Of course some drank more than
others. At least my beloved husband didn't make a fool of himself.

Sydney closed her journal, got up and put it in the drawer of her
nightstand. She looked down at her husband who was lying passed out in
the middle of their bed. She laughed to herself. He had gotten his
suspenders and shirt off and that was all. She took his shoes off and
then his socks. His pants were a little more difficult. Him being
asleep didn't help. Sydney stood at the end of the bed and began to
pull the pants off of him. When she finally got him undressed, she
began to change her clothes as well. As she pulled her dress over her
head, Garrett started to come to, although he was still a bit drunk.

GARRETT: God you have a beautiful body. Come here and let me touch you.

Sydney walked over to him and caressed his face.

SYDNEY: Baby, you're drunk. Why don't you go to sleep and you can touch
me all you want in the morning.

Garrett looked at Sydney and tried to get his hands to caress
Sydney's body. Of course being inebriated they weren't working too well.
Sydney slowly helped Garrett up, pulled back the covers and put him to
bed.
