Jimmy looks at Callie and Glory, and quickly stands up, "All right, I'm
out of here."

"Don't go Jimmy," Callie says quietly, "I've been wanting to talk to you
and maybe..."

"I really don't think we have anything to talk about," Jimmy says icily.

JT chuckles a bit at Jimmy's reaction to Callie. Stop fooling everyone
and yourself, you know you still want her, JT thinks to himself. "Hi
Callie, Glory."

"JT," Glory says curtly.

JT eyes Glory's wine cooler bottle, "I didn't know you drink, Glory."

Glory narrows her eyes at JT, "Well every once and awhile I do, I'm not
some prude that never wants to have fun. I just don't drink excessively
so that I'm a borderline alcoholic."

"I'm not an alcoholic," JT snaps.

"Whatever, but you should really stop living in your fantasy world where
you are just God and don't have to take responsibility for any of your
actions."

JT is a little bit taken aback by Glory's comeback but quickly recovers,
"You don't know me anymore Glory so I don't think your one to talk."

Glory rolls her eyes, "JT, don't fool yourself. Maybe we aren't close
anymore but I will always know you, probably better than anyone else."

Callie smiles at Glory, proud at how her friend has changed over the
year. "Time out you guys!"

"No problem, cause JT and I are leaving," Jimmy says, putting on his
jacket.

"No, youre staying. We all are. This might just be the perfect
opportunity all of us needed to get a lot off of our chests."

Jimmy stares at her, "Callie, you have always had this attitude where you
think you can dictate what goes on in everyone else's lives. Get over it
already."

JT laughs again at his friend but this time loudly, "Jimmy, you are
exactly the same way so I wouldn't even talk. Stop ragging on Callie.
Just cause you can't have her..."

Jimmy cuts him off, "Shut up, JT."

JT sits down, "Sorry."

Glory sits down at the table, "As much as I hate to admit this, JT's
right, Jimmy. I mean you and Callie are so much alike, and that's why it
took you so long to get together all those years ago. You were too busy
fighting to realize you were mirror images of each other."

"I'm going outside," Jimmy stalks out the door.

JT eyes Callie, "Go after him. Even if he won't listen just talk to
him."

Callie nods and follows Jimmy. Jimmy hears her walk outside, "What do
you want?"

"To talk to you, to make things right between us so that maybe we can be
friends again like before."

"You and I were never just friends, Callie. So I don't see how you can say
like before."

"Jimmy, I never meant to hurt you."

"Well, it looks like that is what happened."

"Believe me when I say that..."

"All right, you wanna talk, I'll talk. If it will stop your little
diatribe on how you just want be friends, I will definitely talk. Callie,
you broke me. You broke my heart. I don't think you realize how much you
mean to me because I never got the chance to tell you. You never let me
explain. Well, I am now. When I was on the road, you existed in every
one of my dreams. I dreamed about us, our first kiss, our first dance,
the first time I saw you, the first time we made love," Jimmy says
quietly. "I knew that I couldn't live without you for another year so I
applied to USC and I got in. I was going to go here next year so that way
we would at least be in the same state. And could be together and
wouldn't have to have a long distance relationship."

"Jimmy, I didn't know... You never told me you had these plans."

"Well, I guess it wouldn't have made a difference considering you were
blissfully in love with some other guy."

"It might have," Callie says quietly.

"Oh, really? So if it would have made a difference, then this guy you
love, maybe you aren't as serious about him as you thought."

"Jimmy, I am. I do love him"

"I don't believe that," Jimmy says, inching closer to her. "I believe
you still love me," he whispers as he pulls her in and gives her a kiss
roughly on the mouth. Callie stands there still, but soon begins to give
in, and right when she does Jimmy lets go. "And that just proved it."

Sandy awakes to the sounds of rocks hitting against her window, she
rushes to the window and sees a skinny sickly figure standing in her
backyard, "Owen," she calls out quietly, she puts her robe on, and
rushes downstairs and meet's him in the backyard.

"Sandy," Owen slurs, as he gives her a sloppy hug, "I've missed you."

Sandy shakes her head in disgust, "Youre high, aren't you?"

Owen laughs, "Oh, don't play all saintly sister on me. I know you use,
Sandy. Don't even try to pretend you don't."

"I'm not pretending. I'm not addicted like you are. I don't take the crap
you do. I have it under control, just take when I need a little
emotional boost."

"Whatever Sandy. I need something. I need something to tie me over."

"I don't have anything."

"You lie."

"I'm not lying, Owen."

"Come on San. Everyone knows you always have something. I really need in
Sandy. I won't be able to get anything till tomorrow night, and I still
have to face my parents before than. I won't be able to do it if I don't
have a pick me up."

Sandy sighs, "Fine, let's go." She leads Owen up to her room and pulls a
pill bottle out of her purse, "Here."

Own smiles, "Ahh, my little pharmacist."

"You should really get help, Owen. You must know you have a problem."

"Shut up, Sandy. Like you, I have it under control."

"You have never had control, and lost it completely when you started
doing meth."

"Like you never tried it," Owen leers, "This stuff you do is just as
bad."

"No, it's not!"

"Believe what you want, but I really don't need drug counseling from a
hypocrite like you."

"Go get your drugs from another hypocrite than." She motions towards the
door.

"Sorry, sorry. didn't mean it. SO catch me up on everything. How's the
old gang. How's Garrett and Sydney, Callie and Jimmy, etc, etc," Owen
says sarcastically.

"Like you even care."

"Your right, I don't," Own laughs. "I can guess that they are all even
more phonier than they were in high school."

"Pretty much, listen you better go. I don't want my parents to come
in...."

"And find out their child hangs out with druggies, or" he laughs, "is a
druggie."

"Bye, Owen."

"Bye, San. I'll be in touch. Don't do anything I wouldn't do, and if you
do feel the urge give this guy a call," he takes out a card and puts it
in her hand. "He's always looking for new customers, and very discreet
too. After all we wouldn't want your budding career to get tainted"

Nancy sits alone in her dark room with a bottle of Tequila in front of
her. 'This should do the trick,' she pours a shot, 'I toast this to all
the perfect people, who have their perfect boyfriends, perfect parents,
and perfect lives, this one is for you Ms. Sydney,' she downs the shot
quickly and pours another one, 'This is for the know it all, self-
righteous, red-heads, a.k.a. Glory Booth, and Jimmy's Walker Woman.' she
takes another shot, and continues to take them till the bottle is empty,
and quickly collapses on her bed as her mind goes blank.

PART 15:

The next morning.............

Nancy's mother walks into her daughter's room. "Nancy, it's 9 a.m. Get
up," she walks over to the curtains and opens them. Seeing her daughter
isn't stirring, she walks over to her, "Nancy," she shakes her lightly.
She shakes her head in disgust as she sees her daughter sprawled on the
bed, fully clothed in the same clothes she wore the day before. "What
happened, where did I go wrong in raising her, Nancy, Wake up!!" She
says loudly. She looks around the room and sees the empty Tequila
bottle laying on the table, "Oh my gosh, Nancy!" she yells. "Wake up,
honey, wake up!!"

Sydney walks into the dining room, "Good Morning, mother!" she says
cheerfully and gives her mother a kiss on the cheek.

"Sydney, nice of you to join me, I was afraid you wouldn't be feeling up
to it. That is why you left the party last night, correct. Funny, you
don't seem to be feeling sick today."

Sydney takes a seat at the table, and smiles slightly, "Uhhh, yeah
feeling much better, thank you."

"Don't lie to me, I don't like to think that my daughter can lie to me
that easily. It's a scary thought."

"So looks like I'm caught," Sydney says sheepishly.

"I do have a few brain cells left, darling. Besides, I think I did the
same escape routine with my parents a few times," she laughs.

Sydney smiles, "Do you have any plans tonight, mom?"

"No, why? Want to go out and do something?"

"Actually, I was hoping you would join Garrett and I for dinner at the
Swan Club."

Mrs Rutledge sighs, "I guess so. Just the three of us?"

"Ummm, not exactly. Mr. and Mrs. Booth and Glory will also be attending,"
Sydney says quickly.

Mrs. Rutledge frowns, "Okay, Garrett I can tolerate. I will never repeat
this again but I have actually begun to enjoy him, and he makes you happy
but spending an evening with his father is something I refuse to do."

Sydney sighs, 'well mom, Mr. Booth's about to become your brother in-law
so you better get used to having dinners together,' she thinks to
herself, "Please, mom. It's very important and it really mean's a lot to
me."

"Like my party last night meant a lot to me."

"Point taken, Mom.....But, I really need you to be there. You can't say
no."

"Fine, I'll be there. Only for you my darling, will I do this."

Sydney jumps up and kisses her mom on the cheek, "Thank you, thank you. I
love you."

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Garrett walks into the kitchen, finding his mom and dad sitting at the
table in their robes with huge pots of coffee in front of them.

"Well, one child decides to return to the nest," Mr. Booth mutters,
"Where the hell have you been , Garrett or do I need to ask?"

"Sorry, dad, mom. But I'm 19. An adult you can't expect me to follow the
same curfew I had when I was a teenager."

"Your right, sweetie but we at least expect both you and your sister to
call if you won't be coming home," Cornelia says with reason.

"Fine, mom next time I'll call....so Glory's not home either."

Mr. Booth takes a sip of his coffee, "Nope, I expect this type of behavior
from you but not your sister."

Garrett rolls his eyes, "Anyways, tonight I was hoping you would join
Sydney and I at the Swan Club along with Mrs. Rutledge."

"Were busy," Mr. Booth says taking another sip.

"No we aren't," Cornelia answers sweetly, "We'd love to join you."

"Why do we have to go anyways, you didn't knock Sydney up did you and now
your going to break the news to us?" Mr. Booth asks crankily.

"No, nothing like that. You'll find out when you get there."

"Well, my curiosity is peaked already," Cornelia opens her newspaper, "I
will definitely be........She is cut off by the sound of the door
opening, "Glory, is that you?"

Glory walks into the kitchen, "Sorry, I'm so sorry I didn't call. I
spent the night at Callie's last night and we fell asleep so early."

"That's okay, honey." Mr. Booth says with a smile, "We knew you much
have had a good excuse."

"As usual, I get the third degree while Glory gets nothing," Garrett
mutters. "Well, I'm going to go take a nap."

"You wouldn't need to take a nap if you had come home last night, and
could have gotten a good night's sleep in your own bed," Mr. Booth says
crossly.

Glory stands up, "I'm going to go upstairs."

Garrett stands, "I'm right behind ya."

The two of them walk off, "So where were you? Really," Garrett whispers.

"With Callie...."

"Yeah right..."

"I was, just not at her house. We crashed at her father's cabin on the
old Walker Estate."

"Glory, it's too dangerous to sleep their all night."

"We were fine Garrett, besides Jimmy and JT were both there with us."

"Now, that sounds interesting. What were the four of you up too. Anything
happen with Jimmy and Callie and how could you stand to be in the same
area as JT."

"As far as Jimmy and Callie I don't know. They had a little talk and than
they both walked in and we all went to sleep. I think something went down
but Cal, never told me. And as for JT, I'm not angry at him anymore. I do
think he's a jerk but I don't hate him. Hating him consumed too much of
my energy."

"That's mature," Garrett remarks, "So what are you doing tonight?"

"Nothing, why?"

"Well, you are now. Your having dinner with Mom, dad, Sydney, and her
mother at the Swan Club."

Glory's eye's widen, "Are you serious, what's the occasion?"

"You'll find out," Garrett says coyly, "Just be there."

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Mr. Robbins, and Mrs. Robbins pace the hospital emergency room when a
doctor approaches them, "We have news about your daughter."

A tear roll's down Mrs. Robbins face, "Please, tell me she's going to be
all right."
