CHAPTER 31: EPISODES 236 - 240
WEEK 48 (5/24/1993 - 5/28/1993)
BY DOUGLAS KNEPPER

EPISODE 236 (5/24/1993): At the country club, the main dining hall has been decorated
for Glory’s 15th birthday party. Glory and her parents walk around the room, awaiting
the guests. Grant mentions that Glory’s oldest brother, Grant Halsey Booth the Third,
has sent a birthday gift. Cornelia adds that Grant the Third is trying to get some
summer studies done before visiting home later this summer. Garrett joins his family
and hugs his sister while wishing her a happy birthday. Garrett sarcastically comments
on how unfortunate it is that his older brother couldn’t make it to the party. Garrett
becomes silent when his father notes how lucky Garrett is to be able to attend Glory’s
party before going off to France. *(SC)* Edward waits impatiently inside the courthouse
as his mother tries to calm him. Madeline asks why Billy Gunn is presenting the
settlement in cash instead of a check. Madeline notes how practical a check is, and
Edward replies he personally requested it in cash. “I want to at least see it,” states
Edward before his mother reminds him that the money is going right into a trust fund as
soon as possible. Edward groans that it’s his money and Madeline argues that she and her
husband want Edward’s education to come first. Madeline fixes her son’s tie while saying
that as soon as he completes college the money will be his. A lawyer approaches them
and announces Billy Gunn and his lawyers should be here shortly. *(SC)* Callie opens her
hotel suite door asks Jimmy to come inside. The couple kisses and Jasper walks into the
room and acts disgusted. Jimmy and Callie compliment each other on looking nice. Callie
asks if Johnny will be at the party and Jimmy answers that he doesn’t know. They hope
to figure out the connection between Jimmy’s brother and Sydney’s houseguest, Andrea.
Jasper is bored and wonders if Barek will show up so he’ll have someone to talk to.
Callie is interested when Jimmy notes he hasn’t seen Barek around recently. *(SC)* The
main dining hall is beginning to fill with people. The Rutledges arrive, and Grant and
Margaret exchange glares. Meanwhile Sydney and Garrett share a forbidden glance at each
other. Whitney and Sandy Swan show up and mention that the rest of their family is on
their way. ‘Andrea’ glances around hoping to catch Johnny. She becomes nervous when
Officer Colton Tapert enters with his fiance, Samantha Matthews. Officer Rachel Moore
joins them, but she is dressed in uniform. Rachel looks across the room to spot Garrett.
*(SC)* Troy Atwater is talking to Bryce and Brooke in the Atwater living room. The
doorbell is heard and Neil hurries down the stairs to welcome J.T.. Neil gives J.T.
a pair of cufflinks and asks if the Adams’ are waiting for him outside. J.T. says that
he sent his parents ahead and was hoping to catch a ride with the Atwaters. J.T. then
tells Neil that he needs to talk to him about something. Suddenly Jennifer is heard
walking down the stairs and she calls to her family to ask how she looks. Bryce and
Brooke step out of the living room and look proudly at their niece. Troy takes
Jennifer’s hand and jokes that he’ll have to keep an eye on her tonight because every
single boy at the party will want to dance with her. As the Atwaters talk, J.T. worries
about what the night has in store for him.

In the courthouse, Madeline tells Edward that his step-father is back in Newport trying
to watch his younger brother. Edward defends his sibling and wishes his parents would
go easier on him. Madeline and Edward’s conversation is cut short when Billy Gunn
enters the room. The two groups of lawyers meet each other. Billy and Edward exchange
glances before the rock star states he wants things to go quickly because he has a
party to get to. *(SC)* At the country club, Garrett holds a wrapped gift for Glory.
He reads the card, ‘To Glory, From Garrett.’ Garrett glances over at his beautiful
sister before placing the gifts on the table with the other presents. “They should have
cooperated,” says Garrett as he sees Mila and her mother arrive. *(SC)* Jazz and Alastar
are talking to Officer Moore, who is on-call this evening. Jazz spots Nathaniel and
Kimberly Clayton and excuses herself to go greet them. Jazz greets the Claytons and
inquires where their sons are. Kimberly laughs that they are probably around here
somewhere just before she sees and calls Justin over. Justin says that the twins were
just outside by the pool and Jimmy should be showing up soon with Callie. Jazz asks
about Johnny and is surprised to learn the eldest son moved out and has not been heard
from yet. *(SC)* Callie, Jimmy, and Jasper walk into the main dining room and greet Glory.
Glory and Callie hug and Jimmy comments on how much Mr. Booth must have spent on this
party. *(SC)* Nearby, Cynthia Swan and Margaret Rutledge are discussing Grant’s attempts
to out-do Sydney and Sandy’s dual birthday party. Penearcia joins the conversation and
notes that the Rutledge fortune is far more than what the Booths have. ‘Andrea’ is
standing close by and smiles after hearing Penearcia’s bragging. *(SC)* Back at the door,
Glory is still talking to Callie and Jimmy when J.T. arrives with the Atwaters. Glory
and J.T. immediately embrace and he gives her a special birthday kiss. J.T. then looks
up to see Garrett standing a few feet away.

J.T. and Neil are standing by themselves when Neil asks what J.T. wanted to tell him.
J.T. notices Owen joining them. J.T. asks Neil to stand by him, no matter what happens
tonight. Neil and Owen are confused when J.T. quickly walks away. *(SC)* Jimmy and
Callie meet up with Mila. Jimmy jokes that if the Countess was throwing this party,
there would be ‘Glory Floats’ being served. The Countess joins the group with Jasper.
While the Countess talks about how this party compares to Mila’s surprise party last
summer, Callie pulls Jimmy aside. Callie asks Jimmy where he thinks Barek is. Jimmy
explains that he didn’t see their boss all day at the Tool n’ Die. Jimmy adds that he
left the bike shop unlocked in case Barek returns. *(SC)* Billy and Edward are sitting
across from each other signing papers. In the quiet courthouse, a ring from Madeline’s
purse shocks everyone. She excuses herself and steps a few feet away to answer her
cellular phone. Edward smiles wickedly at Billy as the lawyers open a briefcase to
expose the million dollars inside of it. Madeline returns to the group and tells her
son she has to leave. “Your brother has ran off and your step-father needs my help
finding him,” states the mother. Madeline pauses to smile at her son. She asks him to
come straight home with the briefcase and trust him to finish up the paperwork by
himself. Madeline kisses her son on the forehead before rushing out of the room. *(SC)*
Glory, Sydney, and Sandy are talking by the punch bowl. Sandy is in awe of the party.
Glory comments about how all of their parents keep trying to out do each other. Sandy
notes that Mr. Booth definitely went to the extremes for this get together and wonders
what he’ll do for Garrett’s 16th birthday in September. Glory changes the subject and
notes she loved how Sydney and Sandy’s party was at the Rutledge mansion. Glory adds
that she loves how the old place has so much history and Sydney jokes about ancient
family secrets. Sydney and Glory laugh while Sandy nervously looks away from her
friends. *(SC)* Jennifer is talking to Katie Adams and telling her how pretty she looks.
Katie is worried that because Glory is turning fifteen years old she won’t be her
babysitter anymore. Jennifer reassures Katie that Glory will still have time to watch
her. Neil joins the girls and agrees. Katie thanks the Atwater cousins and wonders
away to bug Zachary Peyton. *(SC)* Owen is standing by himself when Garrett approaches
him. Owen is not happy to see him and Garrett asks if Owen has reconsidered helping
him. Owen responds that he’ll never let Garrett interfere with his music again. Owen
asks Garrett if he’s actually going to tell Mila about Owen’s crush on her. Garrett
informs the musician that Mila will find out tonight.

Mila, Jennifer, Sydney, and Glory are talking in the main dining hall. Glory wonders
where her brother and boyfriend are and walks off to find them. Jennifer notices that
both Mila and Sydney are watching Glory leave. Sydney sees her mother nearby and uses
her friends to hide. Jennifer asks why Sydney is avoiding Margaret and Sydney answers
she has something to tell her. Mila questions if Sydney has to talk to Margaret then
why is she hiding from her. Sydney replies that she can’t tell her yet. Jennifer is
confused but Mila silently thinks she knows what Sydney has to tell. *(SC)* Jazz and
Alastar are walking through the dining hall when they see Penearcia Rutledge. Alastar
and Penearcia start to talk and Jazz excuses herself when she sees Callie and Jimmy
standing nearby. Jazz asks the couple if they have heard from Johnny and they answer
no. Jazz tells Jimmy she hopes Johnny will come home soon. Jimmy thanks Jazz and
leaves the girls to ask his parents something. Callie watches as ‘Andrea’ joins Alastar
and Penearcia. Jazz notices how Callie is watching the group and asks if Callie knows
Andrea. Callie turns to Jazz and informs her that ‘Andrea’ probably knows where Johnny
is hiding. Jazz glances back to the groups and asks Callie why she thinks Andrea would
know. Callie answers she can’t say but warns Jazz to watch the Rutledge house guest.
*(SC)* Nick asks Whitney when Billy is going to arrive. Sandy listens as her older
sister replies that the rock star is coming to the party directly from the courthouse.
*(SC)* Inside the courthouse, the lawyers are pleased that the paperwork is complete.
They present Edward with the briefcase and apologize for the incident at the
Inauguration Concert. Edwards accepts and looks at Billy. The defeated rock star
says, “Enjoy my money. It’s not like you worked hard for it,” spits Billy. Billy and
his lawyers leave and Edward glances into the briefcase to look at the money. *(SC)* J.T.
and Garrett see each other standing a few feet away from themselves and slowly walk to
face each other. Garrett grins at J.T. and asks if he’s ready for Glory to hate him.
J.T. believes Garrett would never risk the chance of his sister also hating him. Garrett
points out the television monitor and VCR set up nearby for his parents to play a special
birthday tape from his Uncle Trevor and Aunt Mimi. Garrett notes that the television
will come in handy when he gives Glory the tape later. J.T. sees that Garrett doesn’t
have the video with him and Garrett replies that where the tape is right now doesn’t
matter. “Rocket-boy, this will one night you will never forget,” says Garrett. Glory
joins the boys who quickly act civil. Glory and J.T. share a kiss while Garrett sees
Owen standing close by with Sandy. J.T. notices the glances between Owen and Garrett
and wonders what is going on. Elsewhere, Garrett’s gift for Glory sits on the table
with the other gifts.

EPISODE 237 (5/25/1993): Sandy and Jordan are observing the party in the main dining hall
of the country club. They spot Nick and Holly Westcott. Nick says that his parents just
arrived and the Countess has already found them. Sandy tells Holly that her younger
siblings are here to but Holly doesn’t seem interested. “Have you seen Zachary?” asks
the pretty young girl. *(SC)* Mila and Sydney are talking when Garrett approaches them.
Mila is not happy to see him and Sydney pretends to be uninterested. Garrett asks where
Sydney’s mother is. Sydney replies that Margaret is socializing with her friends.
Sydney smiles at Garrett and says she is going to go find her. Mila and Garrett are left
alone and Mila asks Garrett if Sydney is going to take their relationship public.
Garrett answers yes, and thanks Mila for helping make it possible. Mila wishes that he
wouldn’t bring that up. Garrett reminds Mila about what he holds over her head and she
hints at what she knows about him. Garrett gets angry and says what he knows will
directly affect every friendship she has in Swans Crossing. Garrett leaves Mila and sees
Sydney is standing across the room but still hasn’t located Margaret. *(SC)* “Hello?”
asks Sophia, as she enters the Tool n’ Die. Sophia is dressed up and calls for Edward.
Edward walks in from the back door and notes he can’t find the mechanic. Sophia notes
that Barek is probably at the party, which is where she was on her way to until she got
a call from Edward. Sophia wants to know why her boyfriend wanted her to meet him here.
Edward says he needs to get his car’s oil changed before he leaves. Sophia is curious
to know where he’s going. Edward smiles at Sophia and opens up the briefcase to show
her the million dollars. *(SC)* Nancy and her mother stand outside the main dining hall.
Both women are dressed elegantly but Brittany is nervous because her pregnancy is
showing. “Your father will be here,” worries Brittany. Nancy reminds her mother that
Heath will find out sooner or later. Brittany realizes her daughter is right and bravely
enters the party with Nancy.

“Doesn‘t Katie Adams like Zachary Peyton?” asks Sandy, after Holly has left. Nick tells
Sandy that is probably why his little sister is looking for Zach. “Like a mini-Sydney,”
jokes Jordan. Sandy becomes distracted while Jordan asks Nick if he needs to go find
the Westcotts. Nick answers that he’ll try to avoid them as much as possible tonight.
Sandy and Jordan listen when Nick says that his parents wish he would try to get Nancy to
give him another chance. The group looks over to see Nancy and her mother entering the
party. *(SC)* Glory greets Nancy and Brittany and thanks them for coming. Nancy asks
Glory if she has seen Dr. Robbins yet. Glory answers no, and notices that Mrs. Robbins
is expecting. Brittany smiles at Glory and informs her the baby is due in September.
Mrs. Robbins then excuses herself and Glory tells Nancy she didn’t know that Brittany was
pregnant. Nancy informs her that no one knew until now, including Nancy’s father. *(SC)*
Garrett finds Sydney standing by herself. Garrett notes that Margaret is on the other
side of the room. Sydney informs Garrett that she hasn’t found the right time to tell
her mother yet. “But you are going to tell her, right?” questions Garrett. Sydney says
that of course she will, and smiles at her secret boyfriend. He smiles back and says he
should also try to tell his parents. “Tonight,” says the couple together. *(SC)* J.T.
and Neil are talking to the Countess about the project. Neil is excited about something
he is typing up and the Countess tries to understand what he’s talking about. The
Countess then spots Brittany and excuses herself to visit. J.T. informs Neil that their
project may mean nothing after tonight. Neil is confused and J.T. says he needs to go
talk to Glory. Neil walks a few feet away and finds Owen at the punch bowl. Neil notes
how J.T. seems to be hiding something from him. Owen comments that sometimes you need to
keep things to yourself. *(SC)* Whitney is talking to her parents when Billy Gunn
approaches her. Billy greets the Swans and Allen says it was nice to have dinner with
him the other night. Mrs. Swan concurs, but it is obvious she still does not approve of
her daughter’s boyfriend. Whitney is happy to see Billy and smiles at her parents.
*(SC)* Callie and Jimmy are dancing to a song when Bobby walks up to them. The couple
stops and Jimmy says he was beginning to wonder if Bobby was going to show up. Bobby
tells his friends that his older sister was supposed to bring him because his parents
are out of town. Bobby adds that she vanished after receiving a phone call and he gave
up on waiting for her and came on his minibike. *(SC)* At the Tool n’ Die, Sophia is in
awe at the sight of the money. She is happy that he got the settlement and hugs him.
Sophia then steps back and questions why he has all of the money with him. She asks if
the money is still being put in a trust until he gets out of school. Edward snaps and
tells Sophia that he’s not going to graduate from college. *(SC)* Glory is looking at
all of the gifts gathered on the table when J.T. sneaks up behind her. She is surprised
to see him and asks what he is up to. He says he’s been busy socializing and wanted to
stop by to tell her how much he loves her. “I love you too,” says Glory. Nearby Garrett
stops to watch them.

Whitney and Billy walk past the people at the party and she thanks him for coming. He
smiles and apologizes for being late. She asks how things went at the courthouse and he
jokes that he’d rather not talk about that painful subject until his pocket book feels
better *(SC)* At the bike shop, Edward shuts the briefcase and tells Sophia that his
parents are unaware that he flunked two of his last semester classes but they will know
when his grades arrive. Edward adds that he doesn’t want to continue with school,
especially now that he’s a millionaire. Sophia listens as he explains he wants to leave
town with the cash while he can and he wants Sophia to come along with him. “This town is
preschool anyways,” comments Edward, before insisting that his girlfriend come along too.
*(SC)* Back at the party, ‘Andrea’ is walking around and admiring the wealthy people’s
outfits and jewelry. She is unaware that Jazz is watching her. But Jazz doesn’t know
that her date Alastar is observing what Jazz is doing. Alastar hears Rachel talking to
Colton about how even though the cat burglar has stopped, she is keeping an eye out
tonight with all of the town’s finest in one room. *(SC)* Katie is trying to talk to
Zachary but he is caught up in Holly Westcott’s distractions. Katie is getting frustrated
and tells Zachary she’ll be right back. Katie walks away quickly after Zachary hardly
notices that she has said anything. Nearby Glory stands with J.T. and her parents and
sees Katie walk out towards the pool. J.T. also notices and goes to follow her but Glory
stops to go by herself. *(SC)* Nancy is standing alone when Nick walks up to her. She
asks why he isn’t with Sandy. Nick ignore the comment and questions if Nancy’s dad is in
the dark about Brittany’s condition. Nancy quietly informs Nick he’s correct before
excusing herself to find her mother. Nick stares after his ex-girlfriend as she walks
away. *(SC)* Mila is lost in a conversation that her mother is having with the Atwaters.
She notices the television a few feet away and moves closer to it. “He’d better not have
anything planned for tonight ..,” starts Mila before she hears J.T.’s voice behind her
asking who’s she’s talking about. *(SC)* At the punch bowl, Neil is curious what Owen is
mumbling about. Owen is hesitant to say anything but Neil catches him glance across the
room to look at Garrett. Neil tells Owen he is tired of both J.T. and Owen hiding things
from him. Neil also wants to know how Garrett factors into everything. Owen turns to his
friend and tells him that Garrett is holding something over his head.

Inside the Tool n’ Die, Edward is upset that they can’t find Barek and asks Sophia if she
wants to take her car instead. Sophia is uneasy and asks Edward to think about what he’s
going to do. Edward is becoming angry and gets close to Sophia and asks if she wants to
be with him. Sophia pulls away and Edward calls her a tease. He states that he’s
already left a message on his parent’s answering machine to tell them goodbye. He wants
her to call her parents and do the same thing. Edward gets close again to Sophia and
she looks away. *(SC)* By the country club pool, Glory joins Katie on a bench. Katie
tries to hide that she’s upset. Glory knows better and says she saw Zachary and Holly
talking. “I don’t care about stupid Zachary Payton!” shouts Katie. Glory tries to get
Katie to cheer up by joking that boys have cooties. A boy’s voice disagrees, and they
look up to see Jasper insist that girls are the ones with cooties. Callie is standing
with her brother and shares a glance with Glory as their younger siblings glare at each
other. *(SC)* Brittany, Nancy, Margaret, and Sydney are standing together talking about
the girl’s upcoming trips to equestrian camps. Sydney and Nancy try to mask the
distance their friendship is going through. Margaret is gushing over Brittany’s
pregnancy and says that they’ll have to go shopping together for baby clothes. Margaret
inquires if Heath is taking the baby into consideration in spite of the separation he
and Brittany are going through. Brittany remains quiet before seeing Nancy has spotted
Heath entering the party. *(SC)* Neil demands to know what Garrett is torturing Owen
with. Owen corrects Neil and states that Garrett isn’t controlling him anymore. Owen
explains that Garrett got a hold of something that accidentally got recorded. Neil is
curious what is on the videotape and Owen vaguely answers the tape is why he had to
kick Mila out of the band. Neil is stunned when Owen admits the tape is a confession
of his crush on Mila. *(SC)* Mila is surprised that J.T. is standing behind her by the
television. “The only person who pulls stunts around here is Swans Crossing’s answer
to Gepetto,” says J.T. He nervously wants to know why Mila thinks Garrett is up to
something. Mila tries to change the subject but J.T. is insistent. Mila hopes even
Garrett wouldn’t be cruel enough to ruin his sister’s special night. J.T. is nervous
about what Mila might be hiding. J.T. begs her to tell him what she‘s worried about so
he can help. “Garrett has a tape of what happened on Valentine’s Day ..,” Mila continues
as J.T.’s eyes widen, “I don’t know how he got it but he’s been harassing me with
it for months.”

EPISODE 238 (5/26/1993): Callie and Jimmy are standing together when Nathaniel

being spotted. Garrett says he’s tired of sneaking around and asks when they can be
together. Sydney states she hasn’t found the right chance to tell her mother and asks
if Garrett has told his parents. Garrett replies no and adds he’s not worried right now
about how they’ll react. Garrett wants to know if Sydney will let him down the way she
did last time. Sydney recalls the Swans/Newport baseball game and choosing her mother
over her boyfriend. Sydney turns to Garrett and answers that she won’t make the same
mistake. They smile at each other and forget where they are for a second before Sydney
worries that someone might be watching. She quickly walks away and leaves Garrett
alone. *(SC)* “Dad! I’m glad you could make it,” says Nancy as she approaches Heath.
The doctor hugs his daughter and looks over to see his estranged wife bravely walking
towards them. Brittany waits for Heath’s reaction to her pregnancy while Nancy
nervously watches both her parents. *(SC)* J.T. stands in front of Mila as she apologizes
for not telling me about the videotape earlier. She states how controlling Garrett can
be and is curious if Garrett ever mentioned the tape to him. JT. recalls Garrett
blackmailing him with the tape and avoids answering Mila’s question. J.T. asks Mila if
Garrett has forced her to do anything in exchange for not telling anyone. Mila is quiet
as she thinks about Garrett forcing her to find a way to break up Sydney and Jordan.
Mila reminds J.T. that Garrett has away of getting what he wants. Mila informs J.T.
that she got Garrett to stop blackmailing her when she turned the tables on him. J.T.
wants to know how Mila managed to stop Garrett but Glory joins the group. The birthday
girl smiles sweetly at J.T., who shares a nervous look with Mila.

“Brittany?” questions Heath as he looks at his pregnant wife. A hopeful Nancy nervously
stands between her two parents. Heath is confused about Brittany’s condition and she
confirms she is expecting a child. Heath struggles with comprehending the situation
and glances at his waiting daughter. He tells Nancy he needs to speak to her mother
alone and escorts Brittany out of the party. *(SC)* Neil and Owen are sitting at a table
while Neil is telling Owen he did the right thing by standing up to Garrett. Owen
concurs that his music is too important to him to ruined anymore. Neil tells his friend
that he’ll work with him to stop Garrett. Neil also tries to assure Owen that if Mila
does find out maybe it won’t be so bad. Owen hopes so before Jennifer interrupts to
bring Neil over to his parents. *(SC)* Sandy is standing with Whitney and Billy, when
Bobby walks up to her. He asks to speak to her alone for a minute. Owen joins the group
and Owen takes the opportunity to talk to Billy about music. Bobby and Sandy step away
and he asks her if she’s feeling better about what she’s been worried about. Sandy
answers that unfortunately the birthday party isn’t helping. Bobby is confused as to
what Sandy could possibly be concerned about. *(SC)* “Mother, .. Mother I have something
to, .. no, no.. ugh,” sighs Sydney as she stands in front of a mirror in the restroom.

Sydney jokingly agrees with the elderly woman as she touches up her make-up. Penearcia

her mother is. Penearcia replies Margaret is with the Swans waiting for the cake
cutting. The Rutledge women re-enter the party. *(SC)* The Atwaters walks towards the
middle of the room where a cake is being wheeled to. The Booths are standing around
Glory who is still in awe of the celebration. The rest of the guests are also gathering
around the beautiful cake. “I asked Cornelia if she was going to sing,” the Countess
whispers to Mila. A disappointed Valaira adds, “I even volunteered but Grant and
Cornelia didn’t seem interested.” Jimmy returns to Callie and notes that it looks like
Johnny won’t be making it this evening. The couple agrees that they should keep an eye
on ‘Andrea.’ Nearby Alastar asks Jazz why she’s watching Penearcia’s traveling
companion. Bobby glances around for his sister as he stands next to the Swans. Grant
speaks up and thanks everyone for coming to his daughter’s fifteenth birthday party.
The candles are lit and the group starts to sing happy birthday to Glory. Glory blushes
and looks over towards her boyfriend. J.T. smiles sweetly at her before glaring at
Garrett. Garrett is distracted by Sydney and is unaware that Mila is also staring at
him. Sydney gives a quick smile before turning her attention to her mother. A few feet
away, Neil looks towards Garrett before noticing J.T. is doing the same thing. Sandy
seems to be lost in thought as the singing finishes and Bobby watches Glory with concern
as she blows out the candles. She looks up and shyly smiles despite the tension in the
crowd.

Allen and Cynthia are talking about their children as Sandy stands with them. Sandy

connections to Swans Crossing other than Penearcia. Alastar states he doesn’t believe so
but is secretly intrigued about why Jazz really cares. *(SC)* In the entry way Heath is
confused why his wife has been hiding her pregnancy from him for months. Brittany
answers that because of their separation she didn’t know how to tell him. She adds that
considering that he rarely stops by the house she wasn’t even really hiding it from him.
Heath is frustrated and suggests that the baby might not even be his. *(SC)* Bobby is

wait a little bit. *(SC)* Sandy glances down at her purse before courageously approaches
the Rutledges. Margaret greets Sandy and tells Penearcia how Sandy worked hard to
support her campaign last fall by singing at the concert. Margaret jokingly refers to

thanks Margaret before telling Sydney that she needs to talk to her. Sydney says she
can meet her out by the pool. *(SC)* Garrett is talking to his parents and trying to
avoid the topic of his impending return to France. *(SC)* Sydney is trying to go to the
pool when Nancy approaches her. Sydney is not sure how to react when Nancy needs her

girls and Sydney asks him to go tell Sandy that she’ll be out shortly because she needs
to talk to Nancy first. *(SC)* Jennifer is trying to talk to Neil. She asks what he and
Owen were talking about and wonders if it had to do with the research in the Rosnovsky
attic. Neil answers no before announcing he needs to find J.T. Jennifer sits by herself
and recalls finding another half of the dollhouse hidden in the attic.

In the entry way, Brittany is shocked by her husband’s accusations. He refuses to
apologize and states he will not help support a child that is not his. “I wish this baby
wasn’t yours,” shouts Brittany before saying she can’t wait until the divorce is
finalized. *(SC)* Sydney hopes that Nancy’s parents will be able to work things out. “I
can’t believe your going to have a little sister or brother,” comments Sydney. Nancy
stops for a second to think about what Sydney is actually saying. Suddenly Brittany
comes up to her daughter and announces that they are leaving. Nancy tries to get her
mother to wait, but is unsuccessful as Brittany pulls her out of the room. On her way
out Nancy looks towards her father. Back in the party, Nick walks up to Sydney and notes
