Chapter 1: Struggles of being in love
Note: This story will take place after certain portions of SC: The Return.
Sydney and Garrett have found out they are not brother and sister. Jimmy
has gone to Brazil to catch up with Callie. J.T. and Glory are still
fighting the urge to tell the other that they want to start again. J.T.
is seeing Mila. Mila is furious with Garrett and doesn’t want anything
to do with him in anyway. Nancy is dealing with her feelings for Kevin.
Neil is working in the lab at a University since UB2B can’t be done under
any other conditions. Owen and Sandy are working on getting a record
deal. Sandy is falling for Saja while Owen has feelings for Sandy, but
is also infatuated with Mila. They all are getting ready for Homecoming.
(in this the Booth’s are NOT broke)
Chapter 1:
Garrett told Sydney that they needed to talk and he told her to meet him
at No Man’s Land in an hour.
Sydney is sitting in her room looking out her bedroom window a few
minutes before she is suppose to meet Garrett. She is nervous about what
Garrett wants to talk to her about. She can’t think of anything but
their last kiss. She wondered if it meant as much to him as it did to
her. She waited and waited for the shade to go down in Glory’s room.
“Come on, Garrett.....I don’t have all day. What is taking you so
long?” Sydney whispers impatiently.

Glory is sitting in her room looking at a picture of her and J.T.
“How can you be dating Mila, J.T.? Didn’t what we had mean anything to
you? Was I wrong about you and about what we had?” Glory wonders to
herself.
Just then her phone rings. “Hello.” Glory says.
“Hi, Glory.” Mila says.
“Oh hi, Mila.” Glory says with a frustrated look.
“Hi. I was wondering if you could help me with finding a dress for
homecoming. I really want to look great.” Mila tells her excitedly.
“You're going?”
“Yeah. Me and J.T. are going.” Mila says not thinking of what kind of
affect this could have on her friendship with Glory.
“J.T.? You are going with J.T.?” Glory asks as she sits up in bed.
Garrett rushes into her room and pulls down the shade and then heads out
the door to go meet Sydney.

Neil stops by J.T.’s after spending the afternoon after school in the lab
at the University.
“How are things going at the lab?” J.T. asks.
Neil looks at his buddy and notices that there is something really wrong.
J.T. is a million miles away.
“Hey, you all right?” Neil asks.
“Oh, fine. Now what were you saying?”
“J.T. do you really like Mila?” Neil asks.
“I don’t know. We’re going to the Homecoming dance together, but I can’t
help feel that I really should be there with Glory.” J.T. says.
“Do you still love Glory?”
“I guess I do.” J.T. says and then falls back on his bed while letting
out a big sigh.

Callie can’t find anything on T.V. so she decides to go for a walk. She
finds a park and
finds a couple having a lunch and laughing and talking with each other.
Callie smiles at
how close they are.
“That could have been us, Jimmy. Why did you have to act like that?”
Callie wonders.

Jimmy had left his brother’s house and decided to go for a walk in the
park. His mind fills with thoughts of him and Callie.....of how close
they came to really being a couple. He remembers that before her he
never felt so close and wanting to be with someone so much.
“Why did you have to be such a jerk, Clayton.” Jimmy tells himself.
Jimmy keeps on walking not paying attention to where he is going. He
just keeps on walking.
Callie walks sideways looking down at the ground not really knowing where
she is headed.
Callie bumps into someone. “Hey, watch where your going.” She says as
she looks at the person she ran into. “Jimmy? What are you doing here?”
she asks him.

Nancy decides to call Kevin and talk to him about the Homecoming dance
since they were going together. She didn’t care what people said
because for once she liked someone a lot and they like her back. Kevin
made her feel special and that was different for her.
“Is Kevin there?” Nancy asks.
“No, I’m sorry sweetie. He is still at work. Can I ask who is calling?”
Kevin’s mom asks.
“It’s Nancy.”
“Oh, Nancy. You are the one going to the dance with Kevin, right?”
“Yeah, I am.”
“Well, he should be here shortly. Do you want to join us for dinner?”
His mom asks.
Nancy panicks. “Dinner at Kevin’s? Would his parent’s like her? Then
again...this could be her chance to see what kind of home he lives in.”
Without thinking too much Nancy answers, “Sure. I would love to.”
“Great. Be here in a few hours.”
Kevin’s mom gives her the address and directions and then they hang up.
“What have I done? Do I really want to know his family and what if he
is poor? What have I gotten myself into?” Nancy says.

Saja and Sandy were planning on meeting at Swan’s for a soda after
school. They are doing homework when Owen walks in and shakes his head
when he sees how friendly they are together.
Sandy sees Owen come in. “Owen! Over here.”
Owen slowly makes his way over to their table. “Hi, Sandy. Hi, Saja”
They all exchange
“Hello’s”
“Remember we’re playing at the Homecoming dance and people are coming to
watch us perform so we need to discuss what kind of music we are going
to play.”
“I don’t know, Sandy......”
“Owen! This is our chance to make it.”
“Maybe.....All right. That is if Saja doesn’t mind you being away from
him for a few hours.” Owen snaps.
After the words came out of his mouth Owen thinks, “What am I saying?
Sandy has every right to see whoever she wants.” he says to himself.
“Owen, what was that about?” Sandy asks him.

Sydney shows up and is waiting for Garrett. He finally pocks his head
through. “Miss me.”
“Garrett, what did you want to see me about?”
“Well, things have changed. I don’t want to do this anymore.” Garrett
begins.
“Do what?”
“Play these stupid games. I know, I know.....it’s fun, but it was fun
when we were together, wasn’t it?” Garrett says.
Sydney can’t believe what she is hearing. Is Garrett actually saying he
wants them to get back together. To foget about the games?
“Are you saying you were wrong for playing these games with me?”
“I’m *saying* that maybe we both were wrong.”
Garrett smiles slightly at her. He isn’t sure how exactly to tell her
that he still loved her and that he wanted them to go to the dance
together. He didn’t even really know that she wanted to be with him.
He knew that she had to at least still feel something.
“Sydney, would you.......I mean, are you.....” Garrett says trying to get
the right words out.
“Garrett, are you asking me to the Homecoming dance?” Sydney says with a
grin. She knows she may have won their latest battle.

PREVIEW: Will Garrett admit his feelings to Sydney and if so will she go
to the dance with him? Will J.T. go to the dance with Mila? Does Owen
have more that platonic feelings for Sandy? What will Kevin's parents
think of Nancy?
