"A Guy Thing" by The Four Bastards
Give 'em the "stinkpalm," Jason
Hot Chick: Selma Blair and Julia Stiles
Hot Chick Factor: 9, but with qualifications (see below)!
Synopsis -- A guy wakes up the morning after his bachelor party with (gasp) an exotic dancer in his bed! Shenanigans ensue when he finds out that the dancer is his fiance's cousin. In true romantic comedy fashion, he begins to fall for her... after all, she's a renaissance woman of sorts. Plus she be lookin' good as hell.
Short declaratory phrase in an attempt to get quoted in TV trailer, ad, or cover box --
"Nobody curses better than Jason Lee!"
"A rock 'em, sock 'em whirlwind tour through greater Seattle - without any coffee references!"
Nate's review:
Once again, I go to see a romantic comedy with zero expectations. This movie, however, has Jason Lee in it. Here's just a little word of advice to all you budding film buffs out there (and I know there are plenty of you fucks out there that hang on our every word): Jason Lee kicks ass. The man seriously curses better than any actor working in the modern era. For evidence, just check out the Kevin Smith classics "Mallrats" and "Chasing Amy." Anyhow, Lee turns in a fine performance in this film. I always thought Julia Stiles came off with a touch of the "I'm too good to be acting for you" aura. Perhaps this points to my underlying inferiority complex. Fuck that, though, she was a bitch on Letterman! But hey, it works in her favor in this movie. She's good in it. And hey, Selma Blair, what can you say-- she kissed Sarah Michelle Gellar, therefore she will always be a brilliant actress as far as I know. This movie has a cute story that is presented in a way that is not too unbelievable (somewhat unusual for movies in this genre). There are some screwball aspects to it also that are fun to watch, and the dynamic between the two leads is best in these types of sequences. Go see it for a good time and make the ladies happy!
