Reviews of "Bringing Down the House" by The Four Bastards

Queen Latifah -- really royalty or no?  Find out on the next "E! Quite Possibly True Hollywood Story Due To The Pictures and Interviews We Have Collected"

Hot Chick: Betty White (Bea Arthur not in this movie... ohhh, Bea Arthur)

Hot Chick Factor: 10!

Synopsis -- Queen Latifah blackmails Steve Martin into working as her attorney -- but eventually she helps him get his groove back, so to speak.

Short declaratory phrase in an attempt to get quoted in TV trailer, ad, or cover box --

"'Bringing Down the House' brought down the wrath of the Lord of Hilarity onto my House!  A non-stop laugh-athon of biblical proportion!  Bless me Father for I have sinned -- by not watching this movie enough!  He he ha ha ha ho ho ho heh heh hee tee hee hee eha whoa!"

Jason's review:

I'm a big Steve Martin fan and kind of indifferent on the Queen, plus this premise is kind of stupid.  This movie is really pretty good though.  I actually thought that Latifah even outshined Martin in quite a few scenes.  There are some pretty good laugh out loud moments, especially when Steve Martin goes to the club talking in his "blaccent".  You know, I tend to think that it's not funny and really old when white people try to talk black while still being white, but it was pretty funny in this.  Go see it, you'll like it.

Nate's review:

I have to agree with Jason.  Steve Martin "busts out" a whole new level of white people acting black.  It will probably not be approached by anything better for "a minute."  For those of you who don't know, this is actually quite a long time in the language of the streets... like, I'm talking months or even years here.  I know, crazy!  Gangsters are just too funny sometimes.

Rating: 4 out of 5 times I should have been killed in high school for pretending to be black
