Reviews of "Eurotrip" by The Four Bastards

Hot Chick: Michelle Trachtenberg

Hot Chick Factor:  I was going for about a 7, then she got bumped to 8.5 on the strength of her bikini shot. Yowza!

Synopsis -- A guy gets dumped by his slutty girlfriend on graduation day, so he decides to try to meet what could be his true love -- that's right, it's his German pen-pal, who happens to be a hot girl! His crazy David-Spade lookalike friend Coop finagles some cheap airfare and off they go to The Continent, meeting up with two of their classmates who happend to be touring Europe along the way. Wackiness, of course, ensues.

Short declaratory phrase in an attempt to get quoted in TV trailer, ad, or cover box --

"Eurotrip and hallucinogenic drugs are a match made in heaven!"

Nate's review:

This movie made me laugh, although I am almost ashamed to admit it since it was so bad. Folks, this is no "Old School." Not to get all filmic on you all, but the characters in this are so stock and contrived, you know exactly where this movie is going before it gets there. "Old School" succeeded because the characters were deep, and that is what drove the story. The plot drives this story, not the characters. Still, I laughed for some reason. I guess I am easily amused (Jason hated this movie). The nude beach scene was funny, and the culmination of events in The Vatican made for some pretty nice sight gags, even though I think I should be offended by some of the imagery (e.g. fucking in the confessional?!?! Yowza). At any rate, this is definitely not a must-see, but if you're in the mood for a stupid comedy, it's not bad. Oh, and anytime you can work one of the German continuum-transfunctioner guys from "Dude, Where's My Car?" into a movie, you are doing okay in my book (peep Mike's friend, Jan -- he's a copy of one of the continuum-transfunctioner guys! Zoltan!).

Rating: 67 out of 100 European units seen in the film
