Cat-Women of the Moon 1953Director: Arthur Hilton Starring: We start out watching a rocket crew blasting off and in terrible pain as the G forces slam down on them. Man, that's gotta hurt. Once outside Earth's gravity they hop out of their bunks and into these really neat office chairs on wheels. Not just any office chairs on wheels mind you, but office chairs on wheels with seat belts attached. So, like what kept these chairs from flopping all over the place during takeoff? Magic I guess. The lone female astronaut grabs her makeup and sorta makes herself more pretty for the long journey ahead. She's also got a bit of a love triangle happening with a couple of the boys and she seems to be in telepathic communication with someone or something on the moon. She directs them to land in a crater near a large cave. After they enter the cave they pound the living hell outta a couple hungry giant spiders that wanted to eat them. Then they discover there's atmosphere within the cave. Our lovely, two-timing astronaut then leads the group to a beautiful underground city that's inhabited by lots and lots of leotard clad babes. Of course the boys go all goo-goo eyed over these gals but the gals have more important things on their mind like putting the grabs on the rocket and zooming back to Earth so the can take it over. Our lovely female astronaut is now under the complete control of the moon babes. However, when she comes in contact with one of her many lovers she seems to gain back some control. She then spills the beans on the moon gals plan which allows the boys to get the upper hand. Okay, it ain't no classic but, except for some bad ham acting,
especially by Victor Jory, it's watchable.
