The Day Time Ended 1980Directed by: John Cardos
Starring:
A triple super nova 200 lightyears away causes some funky kind of happenings to an unbelievably nice family in the desert. They are beset by flying saucers, geeky dinosaurs and an overly cute little green alien that made me want to toss my cookies. Electric lights and cars turn on and off at will. The family tries to escape but is held back by some strange power. Finally they are all scooped up in a time warp and sent to the very distant future. I kept asking out loud, "What the hell is this movie all about?" Nobody answered me. I looked around and noticed that everyone was asleep. It was too close to the end so I fought off the urge to pass out. Big mistake. The ending was worse than the beginning. So, do I know what it's all about now? Nope! And I don't care so don't email me with an explanation of it. This thing is just packed with special effects. Some are good, some aren't. But there is just plain too damn many of them. We must constantly suffer through swirling and flickering lightshows. Dumb creatures and floating video cams abound. And then there's this dumb glowing green pyramid that pops up here and there like the monolith in 2001. I don't mind goofy movies but this one sucks big time. The only good thing about this clunker is that I taped it off a lateshow
and didn't buy it.
