Dinosaurus! 1960Director: Irvin S. Yeaworth Jr. Starring: The setting is a small tropical island. While doing some underwater blasting a construction crew uncovers a frozen tyrannosaurus and a brontosaurus. Unknown to them, Hacker, the evil island manager, finds a caveman that the others missed. He hides the frozen guy in the bushes hoping to sell him for a fortune later. They estimate that these creatures have been frozen for a million years which may work for the caveman but it's not bloody likely for the dinosaurs. The beasts are hauled onto the beach where they begin to thaw in the heat. A violent tropical storm rolls in and the dinos are struck by lightning and revived. A watchman that was left to guard them manages to blow up half the construction site before the tyrannosaurus eats him. The caveman also thaws out and wanders around a house discovering some of the wonders of the 20th century. He tries to eat some wax fruits and a book unsuccessfully then axe murders a ham radio. Julio, a nauseating little kid, arrives and feeds the caveman. Just as the two are chowing down Hacker shows up and tries to put the grabs on the caveman. The caveman throws a cream pie into Hacker's face and the two escape into the jungle. Julio and the caveman now start riding around the island on the back of the brontosaurus until the t-rex shows up and decides to munch on the bronty. The two dinos battle with the t-rex being the winner. The beast then traps the caveman and several people in an old mine shaft. The caveman dies in a cave-in while saving the others, just like what happened in the song "Big Bad John." Our hero jumps into a crane and pushes the T-Rex over a cliff and they all live happily ever after. I really like this movie even though the special effects
aren't the greatest. Mind you, they're definitely not the worst.
But it's in color and the comedy relief is good. Check it out.
