It's called Piranha, can you guess what it's about?

Two oversexed youngsters sneak into an abandoned military compound and go swimming in a pool. Oops, why didn't someone tell them the pool is filled with piranha fish. Not just any piranha mind you, but 12 inch genetically altered piranha that are mighty hungry. The two make a tasty snack.

The gobbled girl's uncle hires a snotty female private eye to track her down. She runs into a hillbilly and the two go off to the military joint to search for the kids. Once there the two nerds release the contents of the pool into the river below. As they're doing this they are attacked by a crazed woman. The lady detective conks her over the head with a handy aquarium. She turns out to be scientist and explains that the piranha were developed by the government as a sort of weapon.

Now it just so happens that the gobbled girl's uncle is planning to have the grand opening of his brand new vacation resort just downstream from the military joint. The fish get there and have a feast on the folks that are swimming in the river. Our two heros try to exterminate the piranha by polluting the water.

Not bad remake of the 1978 cult favorite. We don't really get to see much of the fish but there's plenty of carnage. Worth a watch.
