Quicksilver Highway 1997It's two stories for the price of one. You'll swear that you're watching a couple of lost episodes of the Twilight Zone with Christopher Lloyd substituting for Rod Serling. But don't expect very much from either one. The first is adapted from a Stephen King Story. A travelling salesman picks up a set of those mechanical chomping teeth to give to his son for his birthday. He also picks up a crazed hitch hiker who wants slice him up. The chomping teeth come to his rescue. Second one is from a Clive Barker story. The hands of a prominent plastic surgeon suddenly decide they want to be free. They strangle his wife and then the right hand chops off the left one. The fugitive hand then runs rampant through the hospital getting other hands to do the same. Soon there's an army of hands marching around. If this sounds dumb, it is, but it's fun. These two shorts were made for TV and it shows. It may not
be worth renting but if it shows up on TV it's worth a watch.
Kids would probably get the most out of it.
