Teenagers from Outer Space 1959A spaceship lands and bunch of teenagers pile out. Hey, wait a minute, these guys ain't teenagers, they're all about thirty. Oh well, we can overlook that I guess. It seems that these elderly teenagers have come to Earth looking to start up a Gargon ranch. So what's a Gargon? Damned if I know, all I know is these goofs eat them. Maybe we'll get to see one later. A cute little doggie approaches the ship only to get blasted into a still standing skeleton. Derek, one of the aliens and soon to be our hero, looks at the doggie's tag and figures there just might be intellegent life on the planet. He wouldn't think so if he watched this picture. He then gets into a major dispute with the others and takes off into town with Thor, another elderly teenager with a nasty murderous disposition, in hot persuit. Derek traces the dog's owners through the tag. Betty and her grandfather, also soon to be heros, quickly rent him a room in their house. I guess the rooms are rent-free in this town cause I don't think Derek has much coin on him. Or maybe they take Space Credits there. I guess I missed that part. Thor comes roaring into town with ray gun blasting, leaving skeletal remains everywhere. The Gargon is outside of town munching on anybody that wanders by. Maybe we can sneak a peek at the Gargon now. Hey, there it is over there. I knew we'd finally get to see one. Oh oh, oh my goodness, we're doomed, we're doomed I tell you, I never expected it to be this terrifying, it's a.........., it's a.........., it's a great big lobster shadow. Oh heavens above, we have no defense against a great big lobster shadow!!! We're all dead. Shocking, isn't it? Finally, Derek gets tired of all this crap and bumps off the Gargon. He then goes back to the ship to see if he can save our miserable butts. Okay, so it's dumb, really dumb, but I don't mind watching
it every now and then. The people getting their flesh blasted
off and leaving a skeleton standing in their place isn't really that bad. I've
seen a lot worse effects than this in some other turkeys. However,
the scenes with the Gargon should really have been cut and the
monster treated as an unseen terror. It's
just the shadow of a real lobster that in no way could possibly
ever fool anyone into thinking it's real.
