The Brain 1988Director: Edward Hunt Starring: Some high school kids encounter an alien and his monsterous pet brain. They plan to rule the world through a brainwashing television show. Guess who wins out in the end. As soon as I saw some local Toronto scenery I cringed. Most of the horror stuff shot around here can be pretty crappy. That's not to say that this one isn't crappy because it is, but it's also a real laugh at the same time. I think it's got the most unbelievable monster I've ever seen. The monster not only looks like a large economy size human brain but it sort of grows a face on the front that has some nasty teeth that it uses to munch on mice and people. It somehow becomes mobile and chases folks around even though it has no feet or legs. Cool eh? A couple of heads getting lopped off and watching the brain eat a
babe make it all worthwhile.
