"Hope in every sphere of life us a privilege that attaches to action. No
action, no hope."

Chelsea
Gareth Sexton's home

D.S. 145 stepped on the front porch of Gareth's home. She was
nervous, hesitating before she rang the bell. She waited for only a second
before Gareth opened it. D.S. went in and embraced the woman who basically
sacrificed her life just to protect her. Gareth cried as she took her back
into her sitting room where a man was waiting to speak to her. Mulder stood
up as they entered the room. He saw the young woman and knew instantly that
she was telling the truth. Her eyes were desperate with confessions and he
was going to listen to every one of them. There was something else though
that caught his attention. It was her appearance and her confidence. It
struck him as familiar to his own. Intrigued, Mulder stuck his hand out to
shake hers. She looked over to Gareth and said, "I knew I could count on
you." Gareth introduced them, Mulder, this is D.S. 145." D said, "I am so
happy to meet you at last." "Likewise." he said smiling. She paused. "I
bet you're wandering why I brought you here." "I am curious. Do I know
you?" D.S. looked up at the ceiling and said, "Let's go out Agent Mulder. I
know a terrific place where we can talk and catch up on old times."
Strobe lights were penetrating the crowded dance floor at The
Underground. D.S., Mulder and Gareth gazed at the people dancing and jumping
around the floor. D.S. shouted as the music screamed, "We have to cross the
floor in order to get to the other side!" Mulder said, "This is going to be
fun." They crossed the floor and D.S. led them to the steel door. Before
she knocked, she faced Mulder, "Agent Mulder, you're gonna love these guys."
Mulder didn't comprehend. She knocked on the door twice, paused then once
more and the voice on the other side asked the question, "What is your lucky
number?" "145." The door opened and Jamie stood, dumbfounded as D.S. led
Mulder and Gareth into his domain. "Jamie, I want you to meet a famous man."
No introduction was necessary because Jamie knew who it was without a doubt.
Jamie then called out to his friends, "Ben, Lester! get in here!" They
came into his presence."Can you believe it Les?" Ben asked. "Fox Mulder!
Is it really you?" Lester asked. Mulder raised an eyebrow. "Yes." He
said. D.S. made the introduction anyway, "This is Special Agent Fox Mulder.
Agent Mulder, these are my friends James, Benjamin and Lester. They are
Lone Gunmen." Jamie shook his hand, "It's such a pleasure to finally meet
you. We follow your work on the X-Files." Mulder was definitely flattered.
He then said, "I think I read some of your stuff in the British Tabs. Pretty
impressive." The ego thickened as the three guys surrounded Mulder, shaking
his hand and showing him around the flat. Computers and tracking instruments
were active. Printers and radar technology sat neatly against the wall.
Posters of UFO's and Aliens surrounded the room. Mulder laughed. Jamie
offered everyone a drink and then they sat in beanbag chairs that were circled
in the middle of the sitting room. The musical vibration coming from the
club, was faint but pleasant as the conversation began. Mulder asked, "D.S.,
how do you know me?" "I followed your work after the Emily Sim case in 1997.
You see I knew Emily for a short time. A friend of mine told me of her
illness and I knew all too well what was happening to her. As you saw Agent
Mulder, it wasn't a pretty sight. I heard loads of interesting things about
you while I was living at the Chelsea Boarding School. You were on a list of
people to stay away from." Mulder's mouth dropped slightly. This was
unbelievable. "D.S., tell me about your life at the Boarding School."
"Well, it's pretty typical." She said sarcastically. "I was created in a
lab. I do have real parents but they have no idea that I exist. That is
part of the reasons behind the abductions. They take women and extract their
eggs to create babies. And the women have no memories of what happened to
them." Agent Mulder then asked, "Do you know who your parents are?" D.S.
hesitated for a second before saying, "No." She wasn't fooling anyone,
especially Mulder. She continued, "After I came to life, I was programmed to
assimilate knowledge, ten times faster than the average person. After I
learned how to walk, I was enrolled in Martial Arts. I was created to serve
a purpose in colonization, used as a weapon against the Rebel Aliens."
"Mulder asked, "What about the injections?"
"What about them?" She asked. Benjamin and Lester were just now beginning
to understand the wide range of the whole conspiracy. "What injections D?"
Lester asked. D.S. gazed at her three confidants. "You wanna know the
stories behind the so called vitamin injections?" The expressions of
everyone in that sitting room told her to tell her story. "I was being
treated for anemia. Or that is what my medical charts say. In all
actuality, I was being injected with proteins and iron." "For any particular
reason?" Mulder asked. "Yes. The proteins and iron wasn't of natural
origin." D.S. smiled and continued. "You see Agent Mulder. I was being
injected with extraterrestrial ooze. That is what I like to call it."
Gareth, Mulder, and the three Lone Gunmen all said in perfect sync, "OOZE!"
"Yeah, it carries the protein and iron needed to give me strength and
intelligence." "Come again D.S." D.S. began to laugh with slight
nervousness. "What don't you guys understand? In order for me to fight the
future of colonization, I went through a series of injections that lasted for
a few years. When I ran away from the school, the injections stopped,
therefore I stopped aging the way I did. The only positive side is that I
haven't lost any of my intelligence. And I bet I could kick all of your
butts from here to the United States." Exhaustion overcame her as she
smiled. She folded her arms over and waited for someone to speak out. "D.S.
This is so radical and so awesome at the same time. Are you not terrified
of what will happen to you if the syndicate found you?" Jamie asked. "I
have been on the run for over a year now, almost two. I have been scared
since the day I found out why I was put on this earth. I am trying to change
that by telling anyone I know. Mulder, that is why you are here. You are on
this courageous quest to find out the truth to all these ridiculous, yet
profound conspiracies. You also want to know where your sister is and if she
is alive." Mulder froze. How did she know about Samantha? This was getting
heavy and Mulder had to be ready to handle the weight that was being thrown
upon him.

"A free bird leaps
on the back of the wind
and floats downstream
till the current ends
and dips his wing
in the orange sun rays
and dares to claim the sky."

Saturday, April 11, 3:37 A.M.
London
Hyde Park

She walked through Hyde Park in the wee hours of the morning,
plotting in her evil mind an operation of D.S. 145's destruction. She
recites out loud a poem by John Fletcher:
"Do not fear to put thy feet
Naked in the river sweet;
Think not leech, or newt or toad
Will bite thy foot, when thou hast troad;
Nor let the water rising high,
As thou wad'st in, make thee cry
And sob, but ever live with me,
And not a wave shall trouble thee."
She was fluid in literature just as her clone, D.S. 145 was. They are both
experts in the art of dance like ballet in order to be a flawless fighter.
She decided to sit on a bench and contemplate for a while. The crisp morning
air blew right through her and she was numb to it, no feeling. Her spirit
was as cold as her intentions. And she was prepared to kill D.S. 145 in
order to stop her from speaking the truth.
After sitting for an hour or so, she arose and ran out of the park to
find a victim to play with. Jessica, D.S.'s old roommate was the first
choice. Fortunately, Jessica was out of her flat that night, spending time
at the party of one of her friends. But what wasn't in her favor was the
fact that she had to return to her flat the next morning. And 146 was going
to be waiting patiently.
Jessica returned to her flat that same morning. When she went to unlock the
door, she noticed that it was unlocked, but it was too late to leave. 146
came after her and hit her over the head with a glass vase that was sitting
over her fireplace. She pulled her back into the flat and tied her hands
behind her back. Jessica's forehead was pounding with immense pain. She
looked up at her and asked, "Why are you doing this?" 146 looked around the
room and sighed. Then she looked at her prey and said, "I am doing this
because I want something and the only way I am going to get it is if I have
leverage. And you my dear, are my leverage." "If you think D.S. will let
you take her, your wrong. From what I have been told, the future is at stake
and I am merely a person so you might as well do me in now." "In good time,
Jessica. In good time."

"Lying, thinking
Last night
How to find my soul a home
Where water is not thirsty
And bread loaf is not stone
I came up with one thing
And I don't believe I'm wrong
That nobody,
But nobody
Can make it out here alone."

Saturday, April 11, 4:24 P.M.
Chelsea
Gareth Sexton's home

Agent Mulder phoned Scully at her brother's residence, but he said
that she cut her vacation short due to a case that she was assigned to.
Excited and yet sad, he called her apartment. She was home. "Hello."
"Scully, it's me. What did you find?" "Mulder, these files don't make any
sense." "Tell me what you found." "Well, this patient had undergone some
extraordinary treatments. Where did you say she came from?" "The young lady
was raised at the Chelsea Boarding School for Girls. She doesn't have a
name, just a catalogued number used to distinguish the girls. She ran away
almost two years ago and sought the help of a doctor who treated her for
illnesses due to the experiments." "These treatments are wild if not normal.
She had all types of therapy that shouldn't be administered to a young
person who doesn't have the true symptoms associated with them. She
shouldn't have benefited from any of these medical procedures. It's not
ethical." "This case is not ethical Scully. Especially if these scientists
were conducting a procedure that would create a race of children used as
weapons against hostile extraterrestrial beings." Scully was dumbfounded,
"What!" "You heard me Scully." "Mulder, what are you saying?" Mulder
laughed, "Scully, after everything you've seen, you still act as though it
was bogus and ridiculous." "Well, it sounds a bit silly actually." "Why am
I not surprised Scully?" "I don't know Mulder." "I think that these girls
are being used as human weapons against colonization." Scully wasn't shocked
by his hypothesis but she was disappointed in his naivete. Mulder asked, "So
are you going to join me on this or not?" She sighed and said, "Yes Mulder.
I am flying out tomorrow morning. I will discuss the records with you
there." "Scully, have I told you lately that I love you?" Scully was silent
for a moment and then she said, "Shut up Mulder." She then hung up on him.
He smiled and walked out of the sitting room. Gareth and D.S. 145 were
sitting outside conversing when Mulder joined them. He told them that he was
going to stay at the Knightsbridge Inn. "I also have good news." "What's
that Agent Mulder?" Asked D.S. "My partner, Special Agent Dana Scully is
going to join me on this case. She is the one I sent your medical records
to." D.S. laughed out loud and said, "Do you think she will be able to
comprehend what is in those records?" "Oh I think she can. Besides, this
case is what you might call a link to her own past." "You mean because of
Emily." D.S. said firmly. "D.S." Mulder said, "You seem to know a lot
about me and apparently about Agent Scully as well and so far, you haven't
shared any of your knowledge with me, just fragments of things you claim to
know." D.S. grimly gazed at Mulder, thinking of ways to boost her own
confidence up. "Agent Mulder, I have seen things and I have witnessed things
that I would never wish upon anyone. It is difficult for me to explain to
you what I have gone through and what I know because I have lost faith in
people." She began to cry as she continued, "Agent Mulder, I cannot trust
anyone. But I am trying very hard to put my trust into your hands because my
time is running out." Mulder placed his hand on her shoulder. His manner
was fatherly as she assured her that she could trust him. "D.S. I do not
know what you have gone through but I can promise you that I will do whatever
it takes to protect you. I do believe you." "Do you really Agent Mulder?"
"Yes I do." D.S. reevaluates her thoughts and replied, "Alright Agent
Mulder, when your partner arrives, then I will discuss every detail of what I
know and what I theorize about this whole case. I just have one question
though." "What?" "Does your partner have an open mind?" Mulder smiled and
said, "Well, she is a medical doctor so she views everything in a scientific
manner. But she does have an open mind."
After entering his room at the Inn, Mulder phoned Scully to get her
arrival times in London. Then he went to bed. The phone rang which was
nothing new these days. "Mulder." "Agent Mulder." He did not recognize the
voice, "Who is this?" "Do not pursue this case. You and Agent Scully are
not investigating the X-Files anymore so stay out of it." "Is this a
threat?" "No Agent Mulder. It's a warning. Next time, you may not be so
lucky." Then the stranger hung up.
