DIRECTIONS:

Preheat oven to 350F.

Place butter in small saucepan and melt over medium heat.

Pour into large mixing bowl.

Add flour, brown sugar and rolled oats.

Mix with a fork or pastry cutter until completely combined and evenly mixed.

Reserve 1 cup of mixture and set aside to sprinkle on top of bars later
on.

Grease a 13X9 inch pan and press remaining mixture into pan.

Spread chopped apples over crust.

Place granulated sugar in small saucepan.

Add water, vanilla cinnamon and flour.

Cook over medium-low heat until thickened, stirring while cooking with
a fork or whisk.

Pour mixture evenly over apples.

Spread reserved 1 cup of sugar-oat mixture on top.

Bake in preheated oven about 45 minutes.

When done, remove bars from oven and set pan on a wire rack to cool.
