shortening

sugar

eggs
beaten

bananas
mashed - very ripe

cup
pecans or walnuts
chopped
DIRECTIONS:
Sift together first 4 ingredients.
Cream shortening and sugar.
Add eggs and beat thoroughly.
Alternate dry mixture and mashed bananas and nuts, into egg mixture.
Final mix will be quite stiff, unless the bananas used are very ripe.
Place in two greased loaf pans and bake 1 hour 10 minutes at 350F or until done when tested with a toothpick or knife.
Notes:
Freezes well. You can half the recipe.
