RECIPE NAME:  CHIPITS CHEWY MILK CHOCOLATE COOKIES

 INGREDIENTS:
2/3 cup butter melted
2 cups brown sugar lightly packed
2 - eggs -
2 tablespoons hot water -
2 2/3 cups all purpose flour -
1 teaspoon baking powder -
1 teaspoon baking soda -
1/4 tablespoon salt -
1 package milk chocolate chipits -
 
DIRECTIONS:
  • Mix melted butter, brown sugar, eggs, hot water. Mix well.
  • Stir in the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
  • Stir in the package of chipits.
  • Drop from small per tablespoon onto ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Bake at 375F for approx. 8 to 10 minutes.
  • When removing from oven, the cookies will look "underbaked".
  • This is the texture you want (the cookies should be white and not golden).
  • Remove from cookie sheet immediately and let cool.

Notes - Comments:  I use an air bake cookie sheet for best results.  This cookie sheet does make the difference in the texture of the cookies.  
I also vary this recipe by adding white chocolate chips, semi sweet or any combination.
For those not allergic to nuts, you can make this recipe with white chocolate chunks and macadamia nuts or pecans.
