Bon Appétit DESSERTS - Cookies and Candies
RECIPE NAME:  SHORTBREAD 
RECIPE BY: Yolande, St. Calixte, Canada
SERVING SIZE: 1 round 9" pan
PREPARATION TIME: 45 minutes
 INGREDIENTS:
2 cups all purpose flour -
1 cup butter softened
1/2  cup icing sugar -
1/4 teaspoon salt -
1/4 teaspoon baking powder -
1 teaspoon vanilla extract -
2 tablespoons sugar -
 
DIRECTIONS:
  •  Preheat oven at 350F.
  • Mix first 6 ingredients.  Blend well with mix master or by hand.
  • Pat dough into 9" round cake pan & prick well with fork.
  • Sprinkle sugar over dough and bake 30 to 35 minutes.
  • Cut into wedges while warm & separate.
