Bon Appétit MEAT  -  MAIN COURSE
RECIPE NAME:  BEEF CHOP SUEY

PREPARATION TIME: 30 minutes
 INGREDIENTS:
2 pounds lean shoulder steak (or ground beef) cut into thin slices
1 cup mushrooms sliced
1 tablespoon onion dehydrated
1 1/2 cups meat stock  or 1 1/2 cups water with 2 bouillon cubes or bovril -
1 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce -
1/8 teaspoon pepper -
1 cup celery thinly sliced
2 - green peppers thin rings
2 cups bean sprouts -
 
DIRECTIONS:
  •  Brown meat, mushrooms and onions in broiler or in preheated heavy iron skillet.
  • Add  remaining ingredients (except bean sprouts)  and cook  in saucepan for 15 minutes
  • Add bean sprouts. Cover and simmer for a few minutes or until sprouts are tender.
