Bon Appétit PASTAS AND PIZZAS  - ITALIAN  -  APPETIZERS
RECIPE NAME:  PENNE WITH TOMATO SAUCE

PREPARATION TIME: 3 hours
 INGREDIENTS:
4 cans tomatoes -
2 cans (6ounces) tomato paste -
1  large onion finely chopped
8 - cloves of garlic finely chopped
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg -
2 cubes beef bouillon -
1 tablespoon Bovril, chicken -
2 boxes penne noodles -
4 cups Mozzarella cheese grated
 
DIRECTIONS:
  •  Chop garlic and onion. Fry in oil until soft.
  • Add cans of tomatoes and tomato paste. Use a potato masher to mash the tomatoes.
  • Add rest of the ingredients and bring to a boil.
  • Stir so it doesn't stick to the bottom.
  • Lower the heat to minimum and let it simmer for 2 hours and 30 minutes.
  • Cook pennes half way and drain.
  • In a deep pan alternate, pennes, sauce, pennes, sauce.....
  • Top with grated Mozzarella cheese.
  • Bake in the oven at 400F until cheese is golden.
Notes: Easy and delicious!
