RECIPE NAME:  BOW TIES WITH BROCOLI PESTO 
RECIPE BY: BON APPETIT!

PREPARATION TIME: 30 minutes
 INGREDIENTS:
4 cups brocoli flowerets chopped
3 cloves garlic minced
1/2 cup parmesan cheese -
2 tablespoons olive oil -
1 1/2 teaspoons sesame oil -
1/2 teaspoon salt -
12 ounces(340 gr) bow ties pasta -
1 tablespoon vinegar -
1/2 teaspoon sugar -
1 small tomato diced
 
DIRECTIONS:
  •  Bring some water to a boil and cook brocoli.
  • When cooked, drain brocoli, immerse in ice water until cool and drain again.
  • In a food processsor or blender combine the brocoli, garlic, cheese, olive oil, sesame oil, salt and 3 tablespoons of water.
  • (The recipe suggests a blender but I find that it becomes like a sauce, you want to see the tiny pieces, you could easily use a potato masher).
  • Cook the pasta. Drain pasta well.
  • Transfer to a serving bowl and stir in the vinegar.
  • Add pesto and mix gently but thoroughly.
  • Garnish with tomato and serve immediately. It is excellent with the tomato, it is almost a must!!!
