Bon Appétit PASTAS
RECIPE NAME:  SPAGHETTI PIE

SERVING SIZE:
PREPARATION TIME: 50 minutes
 INGREDIENTS:
6 cups water -
2 tablespoons olive oil -
1/3 cup Parmesan cheese -
1 medium onion chopped
16 oz. tomatoes stewed
6 oz. spaghetti -
2 - eggs -
1/2 lb. ground beef -
16 oz spaghetti sauce -
1/2 cup olives sliced
 
DIRECTIONS:
  •  Cook spaghetti according to directions and drain.
  • Put in large mixing bowl.
  • Add olive oil to spaghetti and stir.
  • Crack eggs in small bowl and beat until well mixed.
  • Add Parmesan chese and stir.
  • Pour the egg and cheese mixture over the spaghetti and mix well.
  • Grease 9" pan with shortening or cooking spray.
  • Pour spaghetti mixture into pan.
  • Press spaghetti with back of spoon to form the crust, making sure to build up the sides.
  • Brown beef and onion.
  • Stir in spaghetti sauce, stewed tomatoes and olives.
  • Spoon over spaghetti crust, spreading evenly.
  • Bake 20 minutes at 350. Remove pie from oven.
  • Sprinkle Mozzarella cheese and bake for an additional 5 minutes.
  • Let pie stand for 5 minutes before serving.
