DIRECTIONS:

Dissolve sugar and yeast in lukewarm water for 10 minutes or until frothy.

Then add oil and unbeaten egg.

Sift 1 1/2 cups flour and the salt into a large beater bowl.

Pour in the yeast mixture and beat until smooth, scraping the bowl occasionally.

Continue to add some of the remaining flour while beating until the batter
begins to climb up the beaters.

Remove and scrape beaters.

Work in enough remaining flour to form a soft dough.

Knead until smooth and place in a greased warm bowl.

Turn dough over to grease the top.

Cover and let rise about 45 minutes.

Cut dough in half and form each piece into a ball.

Roll gently from centre out in all directions until dough is about 10 inches
in diameter.

Fit each circle of dough into a greased 12 inch pizza pan and press out
to fit the pan and to form a standing rim around the edge.
