RECIPE NAME:  PLUM SAUCE
RECIPE BY: BON APPETIT!
SERVING SIZE: 1 1/4 cups
PREPARATION TIME: 12 hours
 INGREDIENTS:
1 12 ounces jar plum preserves -
2 tablespoons vinegar -
1 tablespoon brown sugar -
1 tablespoon onion finely chopped
1 teaspoon dried red chili  pepper or 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper seeded and finely chopped
1 clove garlic minced
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger -
 
DIRECTIONS:
  • In a small saucepan combine plum preserves, vinegar, brown sugar, onion, red chili pepper or crushed red pepper, garlic, and ground ginger.
  • Bring mixture to boiling stirring constantly.
  • Remove from heat cool slightly.
  • Refrigerate in a covered container overnight to blend seasonings.
