Bon Appétit HOT TEXAS CHILI SOUP
RECIPE NAME:  HOT TEXAS CHILI SOUP

PREPARATION TIME: 4 hours
 INGREDIENTS:
12 oz. red kidney beans drained
6 oz ground beef or turkey -
24 oz tomatoes stewed
1 1/2 cup onion chopped
2 tablespoons chili powder -
1 teaspoon paprika -
2 cups water -
16 oz. tomato sauce -
1 cup green chilies -
1.5 teaspoon cumin -
1 teaspoon oregano -
 
DIRECTIONS:
  • In large pot, combine all ingredients, adding the water last.
  • Stir well.
  • Cook until boiling, then reduce heat to low.
  • Cover and cook for 4 hours.
