Chapter 1: Emergence
The sun's last dying rays of sunlight sprinkle down on the Andean Mountain. With the sunlight disappearing an Andean farm below scrambles to get everything ready for coming nightfall. From the west gusts of wind bring storm clouds barely noticeable with the dimming light. Llamas who sense the storm continue to graze in the corral. Alpacas are hurried into the corral in order to make it easier to keep track of the livestock. Some women catch the chickens and move them to a coup where they will ride out the storm. The children chase after a guinea pig that has escaped from the kitchen.
A young man watches from a cliff overlooking the valley where the farm is located. He takes notice of the high mountains surrounding the area. Wishing to remember what the country was like before he left for the United States. Fifteen years have passed since he last breathed Andean air. His body is incredibly strong for such a lean frame. Three years in the Navy as a Navy Seal he learned how to keep his body in good form. Living in the States was an educating experience from the schools to everyday life. He learned how people acted, how governments functioned, and how mysterious the female sex is. Wanting to come back to Bolivia has always been a dream. After dealing with racism in the United States he later learned that racism does not just apply to the States that racism has been a part of the world for centuries. Even his home country has corrupted by racism; one of the many flaws of a third world country ran by a corrupt government. Here it is not black and white, but those of Spanish decent and those who have live in these lands before the Spanish conquest of the mighty Inka Empire.
Bolivia was striped of its riches during the Spanish occupation of South America leaving little for the people of the country. One of the heroes in the early Spanish Occupation was Tupac Amaru was the last Inka; he fought against Spanish conquistadors for people of the Inkas' lost Empire. He was the South American Robin Hood and a national hero to Peru. Tupac Amaru is whom the young man is named after, a person of great respect in the culture of the Andean people. The wind gusts become stronger as the storm nears the cold air begin to send chills throughout his body. He leans down against a boulder to shield him from the wind as he waits.
"You're not cold are you?"
Tupac turns around to see who has spoken to him, but darkness hides his face. No matter he knows the voice of his friend, Andre Benjamin. He stepped into the light to reveal his huge body in comparison to Tupac. Andre or Dre as he is commonly called was an ex-Navy Seal on the same unit as Tupac. They became friends after Dre saved Tupac when he was cut off from the unit on a mission and was outnumbered. That was one of their first missions together almost four years ago. Tupac joined to escape a past, one that Dre never learned about. Dre joined to get out of his New York ghetto where gangs ruled the streets. Since then they both left the armed forces seeking other ways of helping people. Dre went back to New York to fight a war to free his neighborhood from gangs and Tupac disappeared but managed to keep in touch. He even came to New York to help Dre take out one of the most notorious gangs leaving behind a few smaller gangs that Dre could take out without much help. Tupac was there when Dre needed help now he has come to repay him in his friend's time of need.
"I knew you where coming. I just didn't know you where going to be this late. I would have wore some heavier clothes," Tupac replied with a smile. He walked over and greeted his friend. "I figured you would get lost, considering there aren't that many road signs. Plus all of the roads aren't paved, a contrast NY"
"Yeah I got lost, you didn't tell me these roads didn't have signs. Most of the time I was hoping I was going in the right direction."
"Oops, sorry about that. Hey lets get the hell out of here I'm freezing my ass off." Tupac motioned them to head back on the trail that brought Dre here.
"Hey Pac how did you get here? I mean I didn't see any other vehicles out there not even a bicycle."
"I walked"
"Walked? Potosí is twenty miles from here or were you staying with some people?"
"Yeah I stayed with them." Tupac pointed to the farmers below.
"You staying some where today?"
"No, I figure we would held back to Potosi. I know some people there. They can hook us up with an apartment."
"What happened back in Spain? The news was blaring on about an anti-democracy terrorist's group's base being blown to pieces in northern Spain when you called from Madrid. So I figured you were in on that? I checked up with some of my CIA buddies and they told me that they thought it was another group, but I figured you did it. How come half of the terrorist group escaped, I thought you would have gotten rid of them all," Dre asked.
Tupac smiled, "I knew I couldn't keep anything from you. Yeah, I kinda got into a rush when I pulled the trigger. One mistake cost me from nailing all of them. If I weren't thinking with the wrong part of the body I would have finished them off."
"So it was a female that messed you up," Dre grinned.
"The group was lead by an insane bitch; he is called Kurupt because he had a habit of corrupting certain government officials. His girlfriend, Robin, was so fine and very intelligent. When she started hitting on me I was first able to shake her off, but later she became more aggressive. Eventually I gave in to the temptation and we messed around for a week. Then I realized that this could jeopardize my whole plan and I had to stop seeing her. After I told her it was over, she went and told her boyfriend who tried to get me killed. When I managed to get out I destroyed the base along with half of the terrorist group. Kurupt and Robin escaped and have chased me around the world," Tupac nodded his head toward the jeep in the distance.
"There goes all my faith that playas can do their thing with out falling for the female. I was wondering why you needed my help. It's not ever day that mister big shot needs help with cleaning up the trash. What where they planning to do? Had to be something big for you to try and stop them," Dre replied calmly.
"They were planning to get a hold on of that deadly Ebola virus, only this strand is genetically different so that instead of being passed through touch it would be air born. It would be able to travel through the world fast enough to wipe out millions if not billions of people. There was also an anti-virus that they would have gotten hold of too. That means that they save the ones they wanted. Then they would step back and watch us die."
"An air born Ebola virus. What twisted people created that?"
"We did Dre, we did. It would be one hell of a biological weapon for the Americans in time of a war."
"Shit. And I thought we were the good guys," Dre said as they got into the jeep. "Man they better be not using any of the crap on us."
"They won't, they were supposed to get a hold of it yesterday. Now they are deeply into getting revenge with the man that crippled their cause," Tupac replied. Man it has been a long time since we last saw each other Tupac thought. I hope that he is ready for what we are about to do. I should not have been so naďve. If I did not think that they wouldn't hurt me, when I got involved with Robin. I could have stopped their entire operation, but I moved to careless. I didn't think that they would catch me.
Chapter 2: The Kings
The "fasten your seatbelt" light flashed on as the plane experienced some mild turbulence. All of the passengers had found their seats as the plane lightly shook. The flight attendants calmly walked down the isles carrying what is to be breakfast to the waiting passengers. A kid looks out the window into the dawn light down at the ocean below. Most of the windows have been shut to keep the bright light from penetrating the dark cabin while some of the passengers continue to sleep.
"Mommy, mommy what river is that," the young child asked inquisitively.
"That's the Atlantic Ocean. Now please be quite some of these people are sleeping," the mother responded.
A man sitting a row back was busily typing away at his laptop computer. His short blond hair slicked back to give a wealthy appearance. Medium built and not much of a killer and more of a technical guy but has the will to destroy life. Siting next to him hidden behind a newspaper was a powerfully built man. The man is a perfectly built killing machine who is trained heavily in the art of hand to hand combat. His dark sunglasses hide he eyes from the view of others and his dark brown hair shines in the dim light of the cabin. Flipping through the pages reading the headlines and skimming over the articles.
