Dixie sure has come a long way from when she first arrived in Pine Valley from Pigeon Hollow! A devoted mother to her son Junior and stepson Jamie, Dixie survived her own medical crisis and reunited with her true love, Tad Martin.

In 1989, Dixie gave birth to Adam's son, but ended walking down the aisle with Tad for the first time.

Tad rescued Dixie from Billy Clyde Tuggle, but then Dixie witnessed Tad's "death" in 1990.

In 193, Dixie was reunited with Tad, but he thought he was vineyard owner Ted Orsini!

Dixie donated a kidney to her long lost brother Del in 1994.

In 1996, Dixie left Pine Valley and Tad after learning of his affair with Liza Colby!

Dixie returned to Pine Valley in 1998, but didn't tell Tad that she was seriously ill.

Dixie's health improved and she and Tad were married for the third time in 1999.
