 Edmund Grey
(John Callahan)

It's the business of this Pulitzer
Prize-winning journalist to be able to sniff out a breaking story - and he's
exceptionally good at it. Edmund found the love of his life with Dr. Maria Santos and they
seemed to have it all when Maria gave birth to Maddie after they adopted their baby boy,
Sammy. Edmund's world was shattered, however, when Maria was killed in a plane crash.
In 1992, Edmund hit Pine Valley, intent on covering the "Who Killed Will
Cortlandt?" mystery.
Brooke English broke Edmund's heart when she married Tad Martin, the father of her son,
Jamie.
Hoping to force Dimitri Marick to acknowledge him as his half-brother and the rightful
owner of Wildwind, Edmund kidnapped Dimitri's better half, Erica Kane.
In 1994, Edmund took Dr. Maria Santos to be his lawfully wedded wife.
Edmund forced Maria to return their adopted son, Sam, to his biological mother, Kelsey
Jefferson, in 1996.
Kelsey did the right thing when she allowed Edmund and Maria to adopt Sam.
Edmund was crushed by Maria's betrayal with Dimitri, but later leaned Maddie was his
biological child after all.
Edmund's world was shattered when Maria was killed in a plane crash in 1997.
Edmund came to Kit Montgomery's defense in 1998, but were never more than just good
friends.
