Opal Cortlandt

Once a diamond in the rough, this made-over beautician has risen to her role as a high-society wife. Although now divorced from Palmer, Opal is still a force to be reckoned with!

In 1981, Opal hit Pine Valley like a tacky tornado with daughter Jenny in tow.

Opal opened her beauty shop, the Glamorama, in 1982.

Opal married straight-laced Ralph Purdy and left town in 1984.

After Opal got a makeover from Palmer Cortlandt's ex-wife, Daisy, she convinced him that she would do him proud as his wife.

In 1992, Opal gave birth to her and Palmer's son, Peter.

Opal and Palmer's marriage hit the rocks in 1998 when he chose his art treasures over her and Petey!

In 1998, Opal was reunited with her illegitimate son Adrian Sword!

After calling it quits with Palmer in 1999, Opal reopened the Glamorama right in the middle of Cortlandt Manor.
