"Lights Of Life" to me sounded like an alien abduction. But when I asked Donna during an AOL interview, she said it was about a plane crash in France. But I think there is some X-filey influences. It really is a haunting song. It scares my friend, who has an irrational fear of aliens. Even though he now knows it's about a crash, it still scares him.
