      Originally, this site was designated as LUKE'S Place. We opened for business on January 24, 1997!!! !


      Over the couple of years or so, we have watched the gradual destruction of the Luke and Laura supercouple, only to see it give way to Laura and Stefan. Who will win out in the end? That's up for TPTB to decide.








      SPYDURWEBB SAYS...



      Back in the late spring of 94, I started watching GH more out of curiousity than anything else. I was entranced with Star Trek: The Next Generation, and I wanted to see the actress that captured the heart of my main man, Riker!



      I was surprised to find that the story kept me engrossed for more than 15 minutes, (which was a lot, if you know my attention span). :-) Anyway, I became a huge fan of the character of Laura, and with Genie Francis' portrayal of her. I collected as much of the history as I could regarding her character, including (of course) the Luke and Laura saga. I too was fascinated by such a love story. It had no equal anywhere.

      It was Luke and Laura all the way for me. During their Laura induced separation, I sat glued to my screen for any trace of the old romance to come back, even fleetingly. I was not disappointed. But then Lesley Lu got sick and the Cassadines were quickly on the scene.

      I watched as Luke changed from the family man who would do anything for his family to (what I perceived) as the vindictive man just out to get the Cassadines. I watched with that sinking feeling as Luke and Laura drifted apart yet again. Now Laura is snuggling up to Stefan Cassadine. Is he just a temporary replacement for Luke? Is Laura just desperate for affection? Now I know that IOAS, but still, if I were in Laura's shoes, would I at least wait for the ink to be dry on my divorce papers? True, L&L have now been living separately for what, 2+ years? (SPYDEE'S NOTE: 2/7/2000, We've crossed Y2K and now Laura has asked Luke for a divorce. Will the knowledge that their precious son Lucky is still alive rekindle the flames for L&L?)

      Now there are die-hard L&L fans, and there are die-hard S&L fans. I for one am just a Laura fan. I like Luke. I like Stefan. I like them BOTH with Laura. Does that make me a traitor? Maybe.
