The Sonny & Brenda Romance

A little history:



Sonny Corinthos first appeared in Port Charles on August 13, 1993 as the owner

 of The Paradise Lounge (a strip joint) where Karen Wexler (underage, at the time)

 worked as a stripper.  There was a hint that Sonny sold drugs, but that was never 

delved into by TPTB.



Upon the death of Frank Smith, Sonny took over Frank’s turf and became head crime lord

 in Port Charles.


Sonny grew up in Brooklyn with Lois Cerullo as his childhood buddy.  Robin Scorpio, 

Brenda & Lois became friends and through this friendship, Sonny hooked up with Brenda.

  Robin had been sneaking around with Stone Cates (Jagger Cates’ brother) against her 

uncle Mac Scorpio’s wishes.  Brenda was helping to cover for them by bringing Robin 

over to Sonny’s house (where Stone lived), therefore she was exposed to Sonny a lot. 

 Brenda also wanted to cause trouble for Jagger and Karen and she knew  that by getting 

to know Sonny she would get the goods on Karen (who worked for Sonny).



Brenda began to fantasize about what it would be like to make love with Sonny and one 

day her dream came true.  Soon afterward she moved in with him and they got even hotter!

  Their love was so strong, and their love making so passionate!  Love did not necessarily 

endure, though.  Sonny’s mob world came crashing down around him, when his home was hit, while 

Brenda was in the shower.  In one short minute, the Spencers’, Stone and Brenda were all being 

shot at.  Ned Ashton (Lois’s husband) wanted Sonny out as a partner in L&B (Lois and Brenda’s 

record label).  He coaxed Brenda into wearing a wire to trap Sonny into confessing to his life 

of crime.  Upon finding the wire, Sonny went ballistic and through her out (in one of the most 

devastating scenes to date.........great acting!) on her butt :(


But never fear....Lily Rivera (Miguel Morez’s former flame and mother of his child) was there to pick up the pieces for Sonny and trap him worst than Brenda ever could.  She bought her way into his heart via her father.  Sonny would no longer go to jail because of what Brenda had done to him.  Now he would have to spend the rest of his life kissing Lily’s feet.
