Cold Sweat
Cold Sweat is filmed and set in France. Bronson has married a nice young woman and they have a huge boat that they and their daughter sail on frequently. Bronson starts getting telephone threats. His wife is scared by them and doesn't know who it could be, but Bronson isn't concerned and seems to know who it is calling. The wife wants to call the police but Bronson insists there will be no police dealing with this. Later that night a man pulls up and Bronson sends the wife and kids upstairs while he deals with the intruder. When the guy comes in, he makes it clear that a group of people want revenge on Bronson by discussing in a threatening manner what they wanted. Bronson takes the nearest opportunity to kill him and his wife isn't pleased. She comes down and he explanins to her what all has happened. Long ago when he was in the army, he got imprisoned in Germany. He and four or so friends tried to break out and made it outside the walls without arousing any suspicion. But right before Bronson was pick them up in a presumably stolen vehicle, the three encountered a cop who wanted to know why they were out at such an hour. They killed the cop and Bronson drove away by himself disgusted at the lack of justification to kill this officer. Their faces show'd a shocked expression when he drove off because they knew they would now be caught. Now these men have done their sentence and are out for revenge. Right after he explains this to her, about four of their neighbors come knocking at the door, which is strange because as you'll see they have no reason to be there. Despite their lack of welcome, the wife lets them in while Bronson drags the body into a safe place. They entertain for their guests who don't even sit down and get them some more alcohol (they'd already had plenty). His wife noticed a bloody knife sitting out in their view and dropped it in a vase. So the uninvited guests leave out the back door without incident.
Bronson meets with the three people he screwed over decades ago. They insist their still very pissed at him and the only way he can make it up to them is to run drugs for them in his huge boat. Bronson agrees and takes one of them out to see what the route would be. He takes the first chance he gets to take control of the weak man and I believe he kills him. He and his wife dump the body on a hillside knowing the group will be very mad about this. Indeed they are and they kidnap his wife and daughter. But Bronson just retaliates by kidnapping the leader's mistress. He hides her in a cottage in the hill country and leaves her locked up there. So they negotiate a trade and after some gun battles the leader is wounded. He's bleeding internally and needs a doctor because somehow they determine it's better to stay still. There's a bunch of twists that make no one in clear control, but the fact is the leader who got shot has a gun to his wife and child and he demands a doctor. He also insists if they're not back in a certain amount of time, he'll shoot them. Well Bronson gets the doctor and races back. He's a little late, but he gets his wife and daughter back. Bronson and his family get back to France just in time to enjoy Bastille Day.
There's one part of this I can't place and that's when the wife and daughter run through the country getting away from the leader's buddy. They set fire to the grass allowing them to finally get away. If you can tell me how that fits in, please let me know.
