X-FILES babe GILLIAN ANDERSON still yearns for the days when she was a punk rocker. The 29-year-old actress, who plays sexy AGENT SCULLY in the hit TV series, misses her wild times, slam-dancing at rock concerts. And the flame-haired stunner has bought a punch bag so she can still let out the latent aggression. Anderson says, "Last May, I was in England and I saw CAKE perform, which is not even real mosh music. "But people were moshing in the pit. They were just slamming against each other and bumping heads. And I wanted to get in there so fast. "Now I have a punching bag in my basement - that's how I physically let it go. "But back when I was a teenager, my need to mosh was about needing an arena of release. And it always worked. It took off part of the edge, and it created and edge, too."
X-FILES special agent GILLIAN ANDERSON learned how charm the real police when she was thrown into jail. The screen stunner was arrested on the night of her high school graduation - for gluing up the door locks at school. But with her sexy looks and a lot of charm, she managed to reduce her punishment and avoid a night in jail. Anderson explains, "I'd had an amazing idea. Me and three or four of my friends should glue the locks of the school so that, in the morning, people wouldn't be able to get in. "What I learned is that the police can be swayed by somebody in a good enough mood. "And let's just say I was in a really good mood when it happened. I was just chatting and chatting with them. And they knocked it down from breaking and entering to trespassing, which was a huge difference." Even so Anderson did not escape punishment. She explains, "I didn't have to pay a fine, and they let me go that night, but I still had to do community service. "For a week I had to clean this YMCA, which was entirely humiliating. "The guy who ran the place was kinda mean to me when I had to scrub floors and polish windows and do all that kind of yucky stuff that you don't want to do on a summer day."
X-FILES has become the victim of a fanatical musical fan - in the shape of former BELLY singer TANYA DONELLY. The American singer is desperate to write a song for the film version of the hit series - and she's taking unusual steps to ensure she gets the job. She says, "I've been sending a song out to everyone who's even remotely involved. "They're going to think I'm a f**king stalker. They're going to take out a restraining order against me."

DAVID DUCHOVNY's new bride TEA LEONI has revealed just how much of a softie her husband is. The star couple, who've been married for four months, recently spent their first day apart. FLIRTING WITH DISASTER star Leoni says, "We didn't handle it too well - David was on the cell phone a lot." But it seems the duo are enjoying wedded bliss despite their heavy workload. Leoni adds, "Right now we're like ships passing in the night because of our work schedules, but marriage is pretty good."
While X-FILES agents SCULLY and MULDER are out fighting the forces of nature, their army of fans have to find other ways of being close to their heroes. And X-philes are thanking their lucky stars now that a new exhibition dedicated to the top-rated show has opened in Los Angeles. Props from the first three series were unveiled on August 21st in a special preview at the Hollywood Entertainment Museum. Eye opening exhibits include; "liver in a jar" from the first series and shoes which make werewolf footprints. But stars of the show GILLIAN ANDERSON and DAVID DUCHOVNY will not be putting in an appearance as Museum Marketing Manager MONICA POLING explains, "None of the cast members will be there because they are making the movie at the moment." But Poling reckons the exhibition will still draw a big crowd from both X File veterans and trainees alike. "The highlight has got to be a Houndstooth coat worn by Gillian Anderson because it shows just how tiny she is." The exhibition opened to the general public on August 22nd.
The BAYWATCH babes are in buoyant mood after regaining the top spot as starring in the most watched TV series in the world. The seaside saga was zapped out of pole position last year (96) by the alien-busting X-FILES series, which stars DAVID DUCHOVNY and GILLIAN ANDERSON. But Baywatch actor and executive producer DAVID HASSELHOFF has put DONNA D'ERRICO and her fabulous female cast back to the top thanks to a multi-million dollar deal to air the show in new territory. The series now reaches 144 countries in the world.
DAVID DUCHOVNY is to strip off and reveal what's hidden in his own X-FILES. Duchovny, who plays agent FOX MULDER in the show, will peel off in the third episode of the new series. His character appears naked and hysterical in a warehouse after being doused with a paranoia spray. A source on the show reveals, "David has stripped off for films like THE RAPTURE and nudity doesn't bother him one bit. "He's not exactly going to reveal all during the scenes, but very, very little will be left to the imagination."
THE X-FILES hearthrob DAVID DUCHOVNY is tipped to become the Caped Crusader in the next BATMAN movie. After BATMAN AND ROBIN star GEORGE CLOONEY announced he wasn't willing to don the black mask and squeeze into the rubber suit again, producers of the next film began looking for a new candidate. And they all believe Duchovny, alias spooky alien hunter FOX MULDER, would be perfect. If Duchovny accepts the role he will become the fourth actor to have played Batman on the big screen. MICHAEL KEATON played the Caped Crusader in BATMAN and BATMAN RETURNS, while VAL KILMER lasted for just one film, BATMAN FOREVER, before bailing out after rows with director JOEL SCHUMACHER. Clooney says just the one Bat-flick was enough for him because he doesn't want to get typecast as an action hero.
A dark shadow has descended on the set of the new X-FILES movie - but it has nothing to do with spaceships. Stars DAVID DUCHOVNY and GILLIAN ANDERSON are embroiled in a fierce feud with each other over pay. According to American tabloid THE GLOBE, flame-haired Anderson refuses to speak to Duchovny unless they are acting in a scene in protest over his whopping $6 million pay packet for the sci-fi big screen debut. And despite producers boosting her salary to $3 million to lessen the gap between her and her co-star, there is still tension between the pair. An X-Files production aide says, "They're acting like two grown up children in a playground, not actors in a multi-million dollar movie. "It's like its a chore for them. They don't even exchange pleasantries like 'good morning' and 'good night'. He goes straight to his trailer and she goes straight to hers."
X-FILES creator CHRIS CARTER is so afraid of the story of his movie adaptation of the hit TV series leaking out, script copies are printed on coloured paper that can't be photocopied. The working title of the X-FILES movie, which concerns a deadly virus spread by bees, is BLACKWOOD. Producers FOX hope to turn the series into a movie franchise, but keep the budget down after recent big budget flops such as VOLCANO and SPEED 2.
THE X-FILES star DAVID DUCHOVNY has adopted THE ROLLING STONES song BITCH as his theme tune. Duchovny, 36, has ordered producers at the DAVID LETTERMAN SHOW to play the song every time he's on. He says, "They used to do SECRET AGENT MAN, but I just love Bitch, so I had them play me out to that." Duchovny also loves WILD HORSES from the same album, STICKY FINGERS. He says, "I love KEITH RICHARDS's guitar playing. Now, there's a man who doesn't play too many notes, spare and perfect."

Rod satisfies my every need. This marks a turning point for me - I finally feel I am with somebody I love. This is the best time of my life." Anderson split from Canadian husband CLYDE KLOTZ, 35, last October (96) after two and a half years marriage. But now she is sure her new relationship is for life. She adds, "We didn't want anybody to know about us until we were certain we'd be together forever. But the attraction was instant - we clicked right from the start. "I love him and he loves me. He's my Mr Perfect."
Glamorous GILLIAN ANDERSON has finally agreed to star in the forthcoming X FILES movie, BLACKWOOD, after studio chiefs bowed to her pay demands. The sexy actress who plays spooky FBI agent Dana Scully in the worldwide hit series was furious that her co-star, hearthrob DAVID DUCHOVNY, was being offered twice the amount she was. Even in the series, Duchovny is on around $120,000 per episode, while poor Anderson has to struggle by on just $50,000. And the sex symbol has decided enough is enough, and she wants the additional $3.2 million that her co-star is being paid to star in the movie, which starts shooting later this year.
A raunchy sex scene starring X-FILES actress GILLIAN ANDERSON has earned British TV station CHANNEL 4 a rap on the knuckles. The station's early morning show THE BIG BREAKFAST was condemned by TV watchdogs after screening the brief clip, which showed a scantily-clad Anderson in a passionate embrace. In its ruling, the Broadcasting Standards Commission said Channel 4 breached taste and decency rules by showing the clip 12 hours before the 9pm watershed. Channel 4 insisted the item was intended to be humorous and said it had electronically masked what would otherwise have been a glimpse of breast and added the caption "oops" to reinforce the humorous slant. But the BSC refused to accept its argument.
