A Piece Of Heaven

Boy, did this place make Jason nervous! Ever since his accident, General Hospital had made him feel this way. In his case, it wasn't the fact that it was a hospital that made him anxious, it was the people! All the Quartermaines seemed to think he was a part of their family still, as if the whole thing was just a bad dream. Sonny, Robin, and Michael were his family now.

Today, Jason had come here for her. Robin had been feeling ill for several weeks, and at that moment she was on the other side of closed door that lead to Dr. Alan Quartermaine's office. Jason slowly started to pace back and forth in the hallway, every minute he wondered, "Why she was taking so long?" He knew that Robin should have seen Alan weeks ago. Now he was beginning to worry, though you could hardly tell by the blank expression on his face.

Meanwhile, inside the office, Robin was both shocked and surprised by the news. She could hardly believe what she was hearing! Robin was pregnant. She sat across from Alan's desk, slowly letting the words sink in. Questions by the millions repeated themselves in her head, "How had this happened?, She and Jason had been so careful. Robin had even put off telling Uncle Mac about her intimate relations with Jason for as long as she could. "How exactly would she tell him about this?, How would she tell Jason?" Jason's life was complicated enough, with Carly and Michael already in it.

Jason was only on the other side of the door. As Robin emerged from the office, Jason stopped and looked up to met her eyes. But they gave away nothing, no hint of what could be wrong with her. His expression had changed slightly and Robin could read concern in his eyes. Suddenly Jason noticed something different about her, Robin needed him! Robin reached out her arms to him and their embrace was all to brief. They walked down the hall to the elevators and out of the building.

Robin was completely silent in the limo on the way back to the penthouse, She had a lot of things to figure out. Jason was still worried, it wasn't like her to be so quiet. Their relationship was one a few, but meaningful words, and complete understanding. Life had brought them together for reasons only they could begin to imagine.

Later that night as they lay side by side in each others arms, Robin whispered the news, "Jason, I'm going to have a baby". A smile spread across his face as he pulled her closer to him in the dark. The questions would have to wait, for the moment they had it all.

The Test of Faith

The evening had been perfectly planned, and as the limousine pulled up to the Port Charles hotel, Robin could hardly wait to see the ballroom. Security was tight, but Jason had promised her that he would have men around only when extremely necessary. To them entering the hotel was like drifting in to another world. With Jason by her side she stepped into the ballroom. It was completely lit up with soft white candlelight. Everyone in town must have been invited, as the room was full of beautiful people. Many of Robin's closest friends were already in attendance. Ned and Alexis were dancing, Emily and Nikolas were talking at one of the tables. Liz and Lucky seemed to be enjoying just being there, and Jax and Brenda were among the other couples already swaying to the soft music. Felicia looked up and smiled as they entered they and Uncle Mac just nodded.

Jason softly whispered, "Would you like to dance"? Robin nodded as he led her out on to the floor. She was in heaven in his arms. Romantic music filled the air. In Jason's embrace she was safe, she was in paradise! As she and Jason began their dance, everyone else in the room faded. Right here and now her life was perfect!

Robin's relationship with Jason was based as much on love as understanding each other's life experiences Sometimes not even words were required for them to communicate the feelings to one another. Tonight their eyes said everything! Robin wondered if she was the only one in the entire room who felt like she was floating on a cloud.

Suddenly, gunfire exploded and as the room went dark, Robin heard screams of terror fill the air. During all the commotion, Jason had pushed Robin quickly to the floor, and was now shielding her from any more danger. Jason was instantly aware of his surroundings as he searched for his men. There were tears in Robin's eyes that prevented her from seeing his face clearly. It was difficult to read Jason's expression as he stared at her. Jason was the only one in the room filled with terrified people who knew, knew how much danger she could possibly be in. Moments later Robin found her self back in his arms as he ushered her out a side door to a waiting limo. Had the night ended differently she and he might have been able share their surprise, but not now... it was too late! There in the safety of the limo Robin lost consciousness. Both alarmed and shocked, Jason shouted an order to the driver, "Take us to GH... Now"!

When she awoke the next morning Robin found herself feeling numb, and in a bed at General Hospital. Jason had been at her side all night and was now in a fitful sleep at her side. As she caressed his hand, Jason's blue eyes flashed open. When their eyes met, she could see that something unspeakable had happened to her. His haunted expression took the place of his unusually cool composure. Tears slid down her cheeks as Jason read her thoughts... Robin had lost their baby! Only his kisses could stop her lips from trembling and her body from shaking. The precious secret these two had shared was gone forever!

When she finally spoke, her voice was soft and unemotional. "Jason you've got to get out." She didn't know that moments ago that same thought had already occurred to him. The only questioned left now was, "How?"

Trying to Find a Way Out

He made the call from the penthouse at midnight, Robin had come home from General Hospital only hours before and was now sleeping soundly. Jason hadn't realized how much his lifestyle had affected Robin, until she had lost their baby. She had been so distraught during her stay in the hospital that it nearly broke his heart. Jason had spent days thinking about how he could get out of the organization, and he kept coming up with the same answer... Sonny! Sonny had been his only friend after the accident that had changed his life forever. Now the two were almost family, but Robin was part of his family too. And Sonny knew that as well. Jason had taken over the organization's business for Sonny, when he had asked him to, and now hopefully Sonny would do the same for him or at least have some ideas on how he could get out safely. Robin meant a lot to Sonny too.

After two rings, Jason heard what he thought was a familiar voice on the other end. All of a sudden, Sonny's voice sounded so far away. When Jason finally found the words he said, "Hi it's me, and I need your help." Sonny's voice seemed to have a calming affect on him, and as tears rolled down his cheeks he told the sad story again. Sonny had never heard Jason talk like this before, and it began to scare him. He was devastated by the loss that Robin suffered, and wished he could have been there for her. "

Sonny, I want out," Jason finally whispered. "I thought I could have both, now I see I have to make a choice... I choose her! I love Robin too much to see her go on hurting like this... knowing I'm hurting her!"

Several minutes later Sonny said, "I have to come back to Port Charles, I can't go on living a lie either." Sonny would come back to help him find a way out... Somehow!

The call had reassured Jason, but a lot of questions still remained unanswered. He slowly walked up the stairs, and looked in on Michael before going back to Robin. The baby was asleep making soft cooing sounds in the dark. He was so innocent and knew nothing of the madness that went on around him, and Jason wanted to keep it that way.

Back in their room, Robin was in a light sleep as he returned, and her face looked anything but at peace. She suddenly let out a scream, her dreams were now filled with gunfire and crying babies. As Jason climbed back into bed beside her he pulled her into his arms again. In his arms is where she felt safe. His love was all Robin needed, and as they kissed the sun rose outside the window.

Second Chances

Without saying a word, Jason had left the penthouse early that morning. By now that is what she expected, to say more would be to her life in danger. Robin accepted his lifestyle, and he respected her right to have opinions. Jason would be back, he always was. But Robin still worried every time he walked out the door.

A little while later the door to the penthouse opened and Jason walked in, it was obvious that he had someone with him, but who? Robin was about to go upstairs when she finally got a look at the visitor. It was Sonny! Tears filled Robin's eyes as she remembered Jason, Michael and herself saying-good bye to him only months before, and watching him get in that limo had been almost unbearable. She had thought she would never see him again, ever.

As Sonny looked up and saw her sweet face he smiled. Then he said smartly, "I bet you never thought you would see this ugly mug again kid, huh?". Jason suddenly saw some thing he hadn't seen in months either, a soft slow smile spreading across Robin's beautiful face. Sonny had left town and Brenda, the woman he loved, because he thought that would have saved them both from his life. He wondered if Robin knew why he had come back? She had made it clear the last time he showed up that he "had to leave Brenda alone, that she was happy with Jax". From there things had gotten complicated...

Putting all that aside now, Jason and Sonny had come up with a plan... a plan to get Jason out and Sonny back in! It wouldn't be easy, but Sonny had told Jason, " I can't go on living a lie". He didn't intend to either. This time Sonny was back to fight for the woman he loved and the family he needed to save... Jason and Robin!

On Wings And A Prayer

The sun was shining and the snow was just beginning to melt as she and a small child slowly approached the grave. The letters that spelled out his name were beautiful. Michael "Stone" Cates. Robin had made a ritual out of coming to this spot. She felt as if she would explode in a minute! Tears rolled down her face as she remembered the brief time they had been able to share. He would always be her Romeo, and she his Juliet.

Only, the small child at her side was a reminder of what else she had lost. First Jason's baby and then Jason. All Robin had left now was the hope that someday it would be safe for Jason to see her again. Someday she would be able to share her news. This was part of their plan. Sonny and Jason had feared it would come to this separation. The moment was bittersweet, as she knew he was safe, but not being able to see, touch, or kiss him was almost unbearable.

A pair of eyes watched her as she walked to the site, and then moved over the child's face. He had known when he left that he could trust her to care for the boy. It was agony just watching Robin like this. Not being able to let her know how much he wanted to be standing beside her. For the time being, Jason knew without a doubt that she was safer without him in her life.

It was very dark by the time she and Michael returned to house, and the storm was just beginning as she turned the key in the lock. Brenda had left the cottage to Robin when Sonny had come back to town, She and Jax had decided to leave town for a while to see the world. Robin really adored the house and it was just big enough for the two of them, but without Jason it was also very lonely... Especially tonight!

As Robin slowly got Michael and herself ready for bed, the wind and rain beat against the windows. Finally with Michael in his bed and sound asleep, Robin slipped beneath the covers of her own. She was restless. Maybe it was the rain, or was it something else?

Several hours passed before Robin realized that she was in labor! As she reached for the phone on the table next to the bed, pain shot through her body. Somehow she was able to get down the stairs just as Jason bust through the door! Jason saw the look on her face and guessed what was happening and in moments an ambulance was there to take the three of them to the hospital.

Once at GH, Bobbie was able to watch little Michael while Jason went to be with Robin. Just before dawn, a baby's cry filled the air in the delivery room... as Jason and Robin welcomed their beautiful baby girl into the world!

When Angels Smile

As he looked through the window at the small faces, Jason's thoughts drifted back to when Robin had decided to move in to the penthouse with him. At the time Jason had thought nothing could have made him happier than having Robin in his arms there with him every night, and waking up every morning to see her smiling face next to him. That first night had been perfect, and the next morning both of them with Michael, playing games and talking. The three of them were almost a family. With a start, a baby's cry brought him back to the present, Jason carefully searched through the newborns till he found a little pink blanket and saw an angelic face that mirrored her mother's. As of the moment, she still had no name but that would be remedied soon enough. Robin was just down the hall sleeping, but after she was awake Jason knew she would find a perfect name.

Unlike when Michael was born, this little girl was perfectly healthy. Robin knew from the start, it would be a high risk pregnancy and stayed on her protocol the entire nine months. The beautiful baby girl had tested negative for the virus.

Jason suddenly noticed that a young nurse from the nursery had emerged from within and was asking him if he would like to hold the baby? "Mr. Morgan?", she repeated. He had planned on waiting until Robin was awake, so they could hold their daughter for the first time together. Now as the young nurse stood before him, he felt a strong need to connect with the small child that lay sleeping peacefully on the other side of the glass window. Finally Jason nodded and stepped through the door after the young woman in white.  After slipping into the sterile green apron, he found her beneath a pale pink blanket. On her wrist was a band that read, "baby Scorpio". As Jason carefully he picked up and cradled the sleeping baby, the infant's eyes fluttered open. In that instant, He knew with certainty that this little tiny soul was a gift from God. "This must be what it is like when angels smile", Jason thought. Her pink little hand so fiercely griped his finger, that tears sprung to his eyes. So awesome was her hold over him that Jason scarcely noticed the beautiful face on the other side of the nursery glass... Robin, with tears of joy and a look of unmistakable love for two people she loved most!

What In A Name?

The news of the baby's birth spread rapidly among family and friends. Felicia, Maxie, Georgie and Uncle Mac were naturally her first visitors. Jax and Brenda returned to Port Charles to see her as well.

"Just look at her", Robin whispered to Jason as soon as they were alone in her hospital room. Jason had spent plenty of time admiring the baby in the nursery earlier, but he couldn't help smiling again at his daughter cradled in Robin's arms. She was the spitting image of her mother, and seeing the two of them together was a breathtaking sight.

"I am looking at her," Jason answered, "but I'd much rather look at you". It was hard to believe that several month's before the two of them had been devastated by the loss of another baby. And as Jason watched his family-- yes they were his family-- he knew he would move heaven and earth to protect them.

Suddenly Jason's voice became serious. "Robin, I want you and the baby to stay at Sonny's for awhile. It still isn't safe for me to be with you and the penthouse is secure. Besides which, you know Sonny would love to have you there, too."

"Jason, I don't think that's-" Robin was cut off in mid-sentence by knock on her door.

"Hey sweetheart, what's the deal here, I thought I was going to be the first to know"? Sonny said with a big smile on his face as he entered the room. "And who do you have here?"

A slow smile spread across Robin's face as she looked at Jason for reassurance. In his brilliant blue eyes she saw all the love he felt. Sometimes Robin wondered why no one else could see him this way. How it was that she was one of the few who could feel this magical emotion. Robin knew Jason's answer and instantly felt sure that whatever name she picked he would love.

"Juliet", Robin announced. Sonny's dark eyes softened as he smiled at the memory of Stone and Robin's first Nurses Ball production of Romeo and Juliet.

"So when do you get your walking papers?", Sonny asked.

"Actually, I'm not sure, is tomorrow soon enough for you?", Robin quipped.

Suddenly Jason spoke up. "Sonny, would you please tell Robin why she should stay at the penthouse for the time being?"

"Yeah, why don't you come on over, I was just thinking the other day about how much I really missed having little Michael around", Sonny enthused. Little Juliet let out a small cry and all three of them laughed. "Darling, I hate to say it, but I think you're out numbered on this one, even though she was born yesterday she knows a good deal when she hears it."

"Alright, I'll do it, you don't have to twist my arm", Robin answered in a defeated tone.

"Good, I'll see all of you tomorrow afternoon then, Sonny said cheerfully as he left the room.

Robin was packing her bags when Bobbie knocked. "I think you might be looking for these," she said as she handed Robin her release forms.

"I don't know how can I think you for taking care of Michael".

"Robin, I love spending time with my grandson", Bobbie replied. "You know, I had my doubts at first as to what type of father Jason would be, but just looking at the three of you together I can see that you couldn't have asked for better". With that, Bobbie left.

"I know" Robin said to herself as she turned back to her suitcases. The baby was already sleeping in her car seat, when she head the sound of a soft knock and footsteps behind her. As Robin turned around Jason was standing in the doorway smiling at her. "What, is something wrong?" she asked with concern in her eyes.

"No, nothing's wrong everything is right. And you are beautiful. And you know what else..." he answered.

"Jason-- Shhh, come here," she whispered. Jason came closer and barely heard her as she whispered in his ear. Robin wrapped her arms around his neck and as he folded his arms around her waist. Jason lowered his head their lips met in a sweet kiss. When they finally separated Robin added, "Let's go"!

Robin and Jason walked down the hallway to the penthouse door. As Jason opened it, he came face to face with Carly.

"Mr. Morgan, I tried to tell her--" Johnny began, but Jason cut him off by saying, "thank you".

"Thank God you're here, Jason", Carly began.

Robin, with Juliet in her arms, followed Jason's lead. She couldn't believe her eyes, after all this time Carly was back!

Sonny was horrified as he watched the smile fade from Robin's eyes. Thinking fast, trying to make the best of a bad situation He said, "Hey sweetheart, come upstairs, I got something to show you". Robin stood like she was glued to the floor.

Finally Jason's voice broke the silence. "Sonny can you please take Robin and the baby upstairs... Now."

Sonny calmly walked over to Robin, "Let's give this little lady the grand tour, huh"?

Downstairs Jason was unprepared for what was about to happen. Carly was back and she wanted Michael! After what seemed to be an endless silence, Jason said, "What were you thinking, Carly? You left him all scared and alone. What in the world gives you any right to ask me for this. I'm not going to give him up with out a fight. N-- not even for his mother!"

J&R: Delicate Dilemmas

Jason was thankful that Michael was at Bobbie's for the night. He didn't want him to be upset by his argument with Carly.

"That's not fair, Jason, I was alone and scared and I had this whole other person to take care of and no idea of how to do it. I needed a break, to figure out what I was supposed to do," Carly fired back at him.

"How was Michael supposed to understand that, what was he supposed to do? So what happens the next time you need a break from your... son?" Jason shot back again. "Think about it, if it hadn't been for Bobbie and me, he could have died!"

"What does Bobbie know, did you tell her, Jason? What about Robin?" Carly questioned. "What role did she fill in his life?"

Jason was silent for several moments. "Robin was here when I brought Michael home. She took the time to care. We both did," Jason answered in a whisper.

"Jason, I'm his mother, exactly where do I fit into this picture?" Carly said with tears streaming down her cheeks.

Upstairs, Robin sat in the bedroom she shared with Jason and listened as his voice became louder. She knew that he was upset. For as long as she had known him, he had only raised his voice to the Quartermaines, who still believed he was their son. Robin thought back to the night when Jason had told her about his relationship with Carly; she should have seen it coming then. Carly was like a hurricane, blowing people's lives apart whenever she came to town.

Robin sat quietly with Juliet in her arms, as Sonny watched her. Sonny had done his best to distract her from the war going on downstairs, but Robin's soft brown eyes looked up and met his, and he knew it all had been a lesson in futility. Sonny knew that she needed Jason more now than ever and hoped that this mess with Carly wouldn't interfere with their relationship. But at that moment, Sonny had his doubts.

Robin was watching his face closely and knew what he was thinking, though Sonny attempted to give her a bright smile before leaving the room and closing the door.

Not knowing what to do, Robin concentrated on rocking the tiny Juliet. It wasn't long before the infant was peacefully asleep. She carefully walked across the hall into the nursery, placing her on the soft layers of blankets lining the crib. Robin stood over her daughter, just watching her breathe, before returning to the bedroom and crawling beneath the covers of their bed. Robin placed the monitor on the night stand. She had planned on staying awake for Jason, but she was in a sound sleep just seconds later.

As Sonny came down the stairs he heard the door close. And he hoped that Carly was the one on the other side. Jason turned around with that cold steel look in his blue eyes. Sonny could see the shield go up as Jason just shook his head.

"I can't lose Michael, Sonny," Jason said sadly. "I'm all he's got."

"Man, I know you love that kid, but there is someone else who needs you too... Robin and that tiny little girl you got upstairs," Sonny pointed out.

"Yeah, I know. Is it alright if I stay tonight? I don't want to leave them... just yet." Jason said.

"Of course," Sonny replied. "I wouldn't have it any other way."

As Jason walked into his room he saw Robin's peaceful, sleeping form already in the bed. He undressed quietly and slipped in beside her. As if she knew he was there, Robin's moved one arm around his chest. Jason could feel her warm breath on his neck as she snuggled closer.

He tried his best to sleep, not wanting to disturb Robin, but he was restless and soon heard Juliet cry softly over the monitor. Sleepily, Robin whispered something inaudible in his ear. Glancing at the clock, it read 4:15 a.m. Jason carefully moved out of the bed and walked across the hall.

The room was completely dark as he walked over and stood by the crib. He only paused a moment before leaning over and carefully lifting the infant into his arms. Realizing that she was hungry, he found the container of formula and a bottle. He walked out into the hall again and into the bathroom, filling the the plastic container halfway full of warm water before twisting on the rubber nipple tightly. Once again back in the nursery, Jason sat down in the rocking chair opposite Juliet's crib. Cradling her in his arms he poised the bottle in front of her tiny mouth and soon she was happily extracting the warm liquid.

Jason took notice of her still yet to be determined gray eyes trying to focus on his face and the way she settled down instantly as he spoke to her softly in the dark room. As the first lights of dawn peaked in through the curtains at the window Jason studied her closely. She had small hands, fingers and toes. The pale pinkness of Juliet's round cheeks made her so perfect. As Jason sat rocking her, he couldn't help but keep watching long after Juliet was done feeding, as she dropped off into a peaceful slumber once again.

He sat there for along time with memories of Michael filling his head. That first day he had been so small and scared. Jason had reached out to him for the first time and had never stopped doing so since. In a sense, Jason had become Michael's father in every way but one... biology. Caring for him the best he could and never failing to show him unconditional love. Now Micheal depended on him, too. To be there when Michael needed him and to keep him safe.

Suddenly, all sorts of emotions flooded over Jason as he realized that he would have to make a choice between Juliet and Michael. Jason had a devastating decision to make..."What is more important, bonds of blood or ties of the heart strings?"

Moments to Treasure

Warm sunlight softly filtered through the window and illuminated Robin's beautiful sleeping face. Turning over, she absently ran her hand down Jason's side of the bed and was surprised to find it empty. Slowly opening her eyes, Robin glanced up at the baby monitor; she could barely hear the faint rhythmic, creaking sound of a rocking chair. As she listened a smile worked its way across her lips. Sitting up on her side of the bed, Robin stretched before reaching for her housecoat, slipping it on as she walked out of the room and across the hall to the nursery.

The door was wide open but the room was still dark. Standing in the doorway, Robin could just barely see two figures in a rocking chair. The scene that lay before her was beautiful. Jason was asleep but still keeping the chair in motion. And baby Juliet was sound asleep in his arms. Still in the doorway, Robin was afraid to move and spoil the moment. An ominous feeling came over her: these pieces of heaven would be few and far between from this moment on.

Suddenly Robin heard a soft low voice from behind her. Looking over her shoulder, she saw Sonny standing there. And by the look in his eyes she knew he had just seen the same thing she had... Jason and Juliet. "He loves that little girl so much already, and he loves you just as much," Sonny remarked.

"I know, I've never doubted that, Sonny. I see it every time I look in his eyes, every kiss we share and every word spoken or unspoken," Robin answered back. "But... I don't want to make him choose between Michael and us, Carly could make things so difficult and I don't want to be the one to hurt him again."

"Try not to worry, sweetheart," Sonny said has he turned and walked down the hall. "Jason will make it work, he already has."

Robin tried to take comfort in Sonny's words, but some things were easier said than done. Jason was going to have a fight on his hands with Carly, no matter what.

Turning her attention back to the nursery, Robin quietly entered the room. A soft warm patch of light from the window shone on Jason's chest right over where his heart was. Looking down at the two sleeping forms brought tears to her eyes as she leaned over to scoop Juliet up in her arms.

Robin's face was just inches away from his when Jason's blue eyes opened. Without saying a word, he brought his hand to her cheek, wiping away her tears and whispering,"I love you," just before drawing her close for a long, soft kiss.

J&R: Some Days

"Are you hungry?" Jason asked Robin as she put the sleeping infant her crib again. "I thought I heard Sonny's voice earlier, you don't think he would be making us breakfast, do you?"

"I think that is exactly what he is doing. It is just like him to want to do something special for me after all I've been though the last few months," Robin answered with a mysterious smile on her face.

"Y- You! What about me? I was the one who was kicked out of the business, my penthouse and had to live away from you," Jason whispered back, a smile moving in to his eyes.

Jason stood up from the rocking chair where he had been sitting with Juliet and walked across the small room to stand behind Robin. He wrapped his strong arms around her as they stood in silence, watching the miracle they had created....Juliet. Relaxing in his embrace, Robin turned looking up at his face. It was amazing all the things she saw there. Slowly, Jason leaned his head closer to hers and their lips met. When they finally broke apart, Robin reached for Jason's hand and they walked out of the nursery together.

As Jason and Robin reached the bottom on the stairs, they heard the sounds of numerous skillets and other pans greeting each other and smelled something that resembled bacon and eggs coming from the kitchen. Suddenly the telephone started ringing.

Robin giggled at the amused expression creeping across Jason's face. "I'll go help Sonny while you answer that, but hurry, because I'm starving!" she teased. Reluctantly Jason walked toward the telephone as he watched her head into the kitchen.

Entering the room, Robin found Sonny scooping out scrambled eggs, bacon and huge pieces of French toast onto three plates. Looking up at her, he said, "Hey sweetheart, I though maybe you had gone back to bed or something. How is our little angel? Where is Jason, isn't he hungry too?"

"No, I just wanted to see if she was okay. Juliet is perfect, as far as I can tell, sleeping happily for the moment. Jason went to answer the phone that you just heard ring a few minutes ago. He be in here in a flash if he wants to eat. But I'm starving, so let me help you," Robin said as she walked over to the counter picking up two plates of food and heading over to the table.

"Hello", Jason said, picking up the telephone. A familiar voice came on to the line.

"Jason? It's Bobbie. I'm sorry to call so early, but I was wondering what time you wanted me to drop off Micheal? How was Juliet's first night at home, is Robin okay?" she continued.

"Everything here is fine, actually we were just about to sit down for breakfast, is 9:00 good for you?" Jason asked.

"Perfect, I don't have to be at GH until 10:00, so we'll see you then," Bobbie said before hanging up.

Jason placed the phone back on the hook and, remembering, ran to get the baby monitor he before walking into the kitchen to join Sonny and Robin. Sitting down at the table, he handed the monitor to Robin. "You might wany this close by," he said with a smile.

Sonny watched the exchange with delight before saying,"She's going to smell all this good food and feel left out. Juliet is still far too young to appreciate my culinary skills."

"Man, you don't miss a beat, but are you talking about this slop?" Jason said with a teasing tone. "I'm not sure you're going to be a very good influence on her after all, you'd have her eating solid food tomorrow if you could... wouldn't you?"

"Hey, hey, hey, I would like to see you fix more than a one course meal-- and pizza doesn't count!" Sonny shot back, laughing. "Maybe Mike could whip up some of that gourmet baby food stuff for her?"

"Okay, you two, I think we should let her decide for herself if she likes pizza or gourmet better, but let's wait till she's, say, five." Robin interjected. Moments later, a small cry echoed over the monitor system just as the doorbell rang. The three of them looked at each other and said, "I'll get it" in unison, then burst into laughter.

"Miss Spencer to see you, sir," Johnny announced as Sonny walked back into the room.

Bobbie walked in to a whirlwind. "Whoa, and I thought things were crazy at the brownstone," she said. "Where's Jason?"

"He's upstairs with Robin and Juliet, they'll be back down in a flash. Would you like to wait or do you have to be someplace? I could take Michael if you like," Sonny offered. Bobbie handed Micheal into Sonny's open arms. "A perfect fit," Sonny commented as the boy turned to look at him.

Bobbie smiled. "Well, actually yes I have to be at GH in less than five minutes. I really hate to just drop him and run like this, but he seems to know you very well, so I guess it's okay. Thanks! Tell them I'll call later," Bobbie said over her shoulder as she left, waving to Michael.

Jason, Robin, and Juliet came downstairs just as the door was closing. Robin could see Michael's red hair already and when Sonny turned around he was wearing a huge grin. "I think this kid belongs to you," he said, handing the little boy to Jason.

"What was your first clue, the red hair, right?" Jason laughed. The four of them walked over to the couch and sat down, ready for anything that their family could dream up.
