Plot Synopsis:
New kid in town, James Spader, is a bit of an oddball rebel: he reads Shakespeare and thinks that dating the gang-leader's girlfriend, Kim Richards, is a good idea. Paul Mones, the aforementioned gang leader, doesn't, despite what his girlfriend might think, and tries to kill Spader. Robert Downey Jr. is Spader's buddy, who wears bondage pants and plays the drums.
Favorite Moments:
- James Spader, in any scene, as Morgan Hiller. Although get that "fast-forward" finger ready for the scene where he thinks it's a good idea to sing to Kim (it's not).
- Jim Carroll singing in the warehouse, with Robert Downey Jr.
- The country club scene. Did every movie to come out of the 80's have a country-club scene in it somewhere?
- Kim Richards and Olivia Barash as some of the cutest white-trash girlfriends that I've ever seen.
