Quentin Tarantino's new film JACKIE BROWN is getting an advertising boost from Kik Wear, a small fashion company in Los Angeles that provided clothes for some of the male characters. According to the New York Times, advertisements in Detour and Paper magazines will promote both the film and the clothes. Cooperative posters are also being mailed to stores that carry Kik Wear's retro shirts. The shirt Robert De Niro wears in the film and in the advertisement will be available soon for $50.
Todd Bachenheimer, one of Kik Wears five owners said, "The thing that happened with Tarantino is going to become more common. Most movies are chasing the same audience, young urban men, as Kik Wear."
