Gender Bender: A term used for a person that dresses like the opposite sex. (see transvestite)
Glam Goth: 1. A Gothic whose style of dress is inspired by Glam rock musicians. (see glam rock)
2. A Gothic that enjoys using many colors, accessories, and glitter in their style of clothing. (see glitter goth)
Glitter Goth: A Gothic that uses many colors, accessories, and glitter in their style of clothing.(also thought to be "Perky Goths")
Goffic/Gawthic: A joking and/or sarcastic way of spelling the word "Gothic."
Goth: 1. The abbreviation for the word "Gothic."(see Gothic)
Goth boy/guy: A male that is part of the Gothic scene.
Gutter Girl/chick: A female that is part of the Gothic scene.
Goth Code: A code used as a description or category that a Gothic person personally places themselves in that is used on the internet.
Goth as Fuck: Being extremely Gothic, usually used as a compliment.
Gothic: 1. A person that is part of the Gothic culture/scene.
2. Something that is viewed as Gothic-like.
3. Something that is part of the Gothic community.
Gothic Community: The community of people involved in the Gothic culture. (see Gothic culture)
Gothic Culture/scene The beliefs, arts, behavioral patterns, fashion, and other products expressed by the Gothic community.
Gothic Music: 1. Music popular to the Gothic scene.
2. A style of music that originated and branched off from the 80's Punk scene. This style of music is often romantic, dramatic, poetic, dark, sorrowful, extremely instrumental with guitars, drum playing, and an endless exploration of new colorful sounds that help to bring out the emotion in the music.(see Death Rock)
Gothic Society: A term for the ways often carried by the Gothic community that are generally established by Elder Goths. (see Elder Goth) Gothic society is based on a series of unwritten rules on how a Gothic must carry his/herself in the Gothic scene/culture and community.
Gothic Underground: Usually referring the unknown side of Gothic subculture.
Gothin: A person that is part of the Gothic community.(word invention by Allora LaCroix)
Gothique: A different spelling of the word "Gothic" sometimes views as "Uber Goth." (see Uber Goth)
Goth Talk: A skit on the TV show Saturday Night Live that poked fun at Gothics. Goth Talk was about a pair of teenagers, Azriel Abyss the Prince of Sorrow and Cercy Nightshade, whom hosted their own cable access show "Goth Talk," and they would always be interrupted by Azriel's jock brother who would ruin each show. Their theme song was "Bela Lugosi's Dead" by the Death Rock band "Bauhaus."
Gothy: Anything viewed as Gothic-like.
