psyker is nullified on a roll of 5+ on a d6, and the psyker gains a 3+
modifiable save in addition to any armor or fields he is currently employing.
Brainmelta

Target model rolls 3d6- for every point the result
exceeds the model's Ld, the model loses one point permanently from its Ld
score. If a model's Ld score is reduced to zero, it automatically breaks and may
not be rallied. Squad members broken in this way do not need to maintain squad
coherency. If a squad leader is broken in this way, the rest of the squad will
break unless they pass a Ld test. If the model rolls under its Ld score, it
may not be targeted by Brainmelta for the remainder of the game, and the
casting psyker loses 1 from his Ld stat.
