Along with all these wonderful siblings I have managed to acquire a long the
way, I have one more brother, and one more sister.
My brother Garry and I met, long ago now, on a country music bulletin board. (I am a fan of the Highwaymen...Willie, Kris, Johnny, and Waylon, for those of you who don't know who they are. If you _still_ don't know, please visit the Highwaymen mailing list.
Anyway, Garry and I agreed on all sorts of things, and we got to
talking...and kept on talking...and talking. Soon, we were merging families. So, he has been my brother for years now - how many I'm not sure - and I am proud to be his sister. He's a musician, and a very good and talented one, at that. He also writes well and draws beautifully. He has a web page. Please go and visit him at
Garry Valentine Plays Country. You'll be glad you did. Every time I see his photo's there, it makes me smile. Such a good and kind heart has he!
As for my sister, her name is Lisa, and she too has been my sister for many years now. We met on common-interest American Indian sites, and then realized we were twins!!! I kid you not. If we had any more in common, it would be scary! She has a web page as well,
Lisa Stalnaker Hellwig's Home Page. There is actually a
photograph of us there together. It was taken at my house, and it was before I cut a few feet of my hair off. (It actually was even longer than in the picture Lisa has up, before I cut it.) It's a terrible picture of me, but good of Lisa. She's great, and I love her lots. You can learn more about her by visiting her page. She tells such wondrous stories, and has such a great sense of humour. She can always make me laugh!
So...that makes 2 brothers, and a whopping 8 sisters! I come from a large family, when you count my Tribal family as well. Sometimes life is just too grand!!!
In Peace, (Nvwhtohiyada)
