Upon startup, the Linker reads a default configuration file named lncop.cfg. This file search order is the same as the help file order search (see the Section called help and configuration file search order). If it is missing, a warning message is issued and the following "built-in" default configuration is used:
The default ranges are specified by the .chip directive in ASMCOP. These defaults can be changed to match user requirements. The default configuration file uses the same commands and syntax as a /file file (see the file option).
Here is an example configuration file to specify ranges for a specific chip.
