OFFICERS REPORTS:
FIRST OFFICER:
Puck reported that he helped Oberon in
stuffing and addressing envelopes for our
“Meet-and-Greet” after the meeting. Approx. 200
invitations went out.
Circle of Glas Dracorum welcomes one new Initiate and
one new Dedicant, and is pleased to announce two new
students are beginning studying in the Georgian
Tradition.
Due to financial problems, Puck has had to let his
Post Box lapse. All mail should go to his home
address: xxxx xxxxxxxx, Ypsilanti, MI 48197,
effective immediately. (Since his family knows of his
Craft involvement, this is not a problem.)
SECOND OFFICER:
The Agenda for the meeting was a
short one, so Kala gave it to us quickly. After much
deliberation, Wyrd Roots of the Sacred Forest has
decided to not renew with Covenant of the Goddess.
Kalathena and Jana will both serve out their terms to
make sure the offices are filled. Their coven WILL be
missed, and we wish them well in their lives and Craft
journeys!
PURSEWARDEN:
Currently, our balances are:
$438.40 in checking, with expenses of $290 for the
U.U. Church for Yule, $102 for the Post Office, and
$20.99 for supplies for Office Max, making the current
balance $25.91. We also have $570.31 in Savings. She
will keep a bank of approx. $100 in cash and transfer
the rest to Checking for other expenses.
Jana asked for permission to get checks printed with
more than one signature line and for consensus on
staying with our present Credit Union.
PASSED BY CONSENSUS.
Our Yule Sabbat netted $91 in cash, and grossed $490.
Jana asked for reimbursement for the room rental,
checks and copies.
The report to National Pursewarden will be late.

the mail, and the others will be personally mailed out
this week. Caridwyn needs copies of all renewal forms
and Credentials for renewals.

mailings for future mailings.

OLD BUSINESS:
1) CONVOCATION: We are scheduled to do the Lady
Liberty Ritual at Convocation this year on Friday
night at 10pm. Caridwyn and Shakti are taking a room
at the hotel, and will host a Room Party for a “Meet
and Greet” on Sat. at 3pm.
NEW BUSINESS:
1) LOCAL COUNCIL POLICY BOOK: A discussion was held
on whether we, as an LC, could have our own by-laws.
Figment stated that we can add by-laws, but cannot
subtract from them.
Puck then proposed that we come up with a Policy Book
for the Local Council, that could also be given to new
Member Covens and Solitaries upon joining the LC.
This could contain our Conflict Resolution guidelines,
and other things as needed. Jana seconded the
proposal. PASSED BY CONSENSUS.
A committee was formed to look into this, with Puck
heading it, and Caridwyn and Fig also volunteering. A
first meeting will be scheduled soon.
2) NEW PROJECTS AND DIRECTIONS FOR THE LC:
After several discussions on-line, it was decided that
we, as a Local Council, have to change direction and
possibly downscale our Public rituals, as we are not
getting the participation we need. One suggestion by
Oberon was how to show what we can offer the other
groups. Credentials was suggested as one ‘selling
point.’
Oberon also suggested strongly that we, as a Local
Council, should change our profile by providing
participation at charity events, to let the public
know that we are out there. Several ideas, such as
the AIDS Walk Ann Arbor, the Race For the Cure and
other walk-a-thons were suggested. Also suggested
were checking on the Ann Arbor Art Fair and others
like it for setting up information booths, selling
water and giving out information on CoG and other
groups.
Oberon proposed an Affinity Group be formed to
investigate how to set up tables or booths at these
fairs, plus several in the Detroit area. This was
gratefully seconded by Puck. Oberon, Puck, Fig and
Pat will comprise the Affinity Group. PASSED BY
CONSENSUS.
A discussion was also held on the possibility of only
doing 2 public rituals a year – Yule and something in
Summer, such as Lammas, with the Federation of Circles
and Solitaries. Oberon will check with the Federation
to see when they are celebrating Lammas at Paradise
Pines.
MEETING ENDED AT 2:30PM.
