Club Web Pages

The MIE/MCI homepage. Maserati International Exchange (MIE) and the Maserati Club International (MCI) are run by the same people who publish VCM, which I think is a great magazine for Maseratis.

The Maserati Club is another US organization. They have a nice page and publish Il Tridente Magazine.

The UK and Australian clubs also have good pages that are kept up to date.

Magazines About Maserati:

Auto Italia is an Italian car magazine published in the UK that has decent Maserati coverage. Availability of the magazine is somewhat irregular here in Vancouver so my collection is a bit spotty, but I generally buy a copy whenever I see one on the stands.

Thoroughbred and Classic Cars and Classic and Sports Cars are both published in the UK as well. They have occasional coverage of Maserati.

Sports Car Market is a magazine that I like for its auction coverage in the US and Europe. The occasional Maserati Biturbo shows up in their pages, and invariably the purchaser is derided and ridiculed for purchasing a car that is, or will shortly be a heap of rust, a charred cinder, or some other variant of a pile of parts. Despite this rather jaded view of Biturbos they do have good market pricing data. My conclusion after reading a few issues of SCM and comparing the actual prices paid at auctions they list to the asking prices I see on the web was that most people are asking at least 1/3 more than what the car is worth.

Bulletin Boards

There are three bulletin boards I know of that cover Maserati. The best one is at eGroups. It covers all Maseratis, but there is plenty of Biturbo related discussion. Another good one is BiturboZentrum at Yahoo. It covers only Biturbo and derivatives. MIE has a  bulletin board on their web page, it covers all models of Maserati, and is not very active.

Other Stuff:

A neat page that purports to show the gas mileage for the 228, it even has the distinction of being listed a gas guzzler.  It shows the car getting 18.1 MPG. I have measured my car with the new engine at exactly that on the highway.

A soulmate who is working on restoring a Ferrari 330GT America in NYC. He’s got a great site, it’s set up chronologically to show the week by week progress of the restoration. When he is done he will have a great car. One that is actually worth some decent money, and I bet what we have put into our two cars is similar . . .

Here is another one showing a guy restoring a Lamborghini Miura.

This Dodge Stealth page is also an excellent resource on turbocharging, with lots of links to other relevant pages.

This page has a bunch of good Maserati links on it.
